Me and what appears to be about 20 people have brought tickets to go Sutton but can't go now due to being ill so the away following will be less than the sell out total unless they count us even though we won't be there

Might be worth asking on OVF or one of the groups on social media if anyone wants to buy any with it being sold out.

Can't be arsed to try sell it as it means being awake either late tonight or early tomorrow morning and with the way I'm feeling I can't be arsed with that. I'd rather just write the 45 quid off

Haha, he really is an idiot isn't he (among other things). I wish we had raised our game against Rovers as it would have been far better game, and might have teased a performance out of the opposition as well. As it was, we probably put in our worst home performance of the season, never really got going at all, and still beat them. Nobody in the ground said that was the best we'd played all season, and Challinor pretty much said we were shite.

A warm welcome awaits Derek Adams tomorrow

Tough game expected. Would be nice to get back to back wins tomorrow for the first time this season.

Looking forward to this one.

Aye because every footballer dreams about playing for Bristol Rovers on their magnificent pitch and the money they're all on, fucking hell none of us are worthy.

That was a very decent performance from Tranmere tonight as they mostly dominated an average looking Colchester. Took a very fortunate deflected goal to get things going, but 2-0 was the bare minimum deserved.
Proper Friday night football at Prenton that was. Fantastic support too.

Onwards and upwards.

Very good in parts tonight, we're starting to gel nicely. Only thing is the team have looked shattered by the 75th minute in pretty much every game this season, so I wouldn't like to see us chasing many games. Peter Clarke is unreal at 39 - goal saving blocks at one end and at the other he's somehow our top scorer from centre half!

We now have an 8 day gap before our next game against Carlisle which is much needed. That said we were by far the better side tonight against Colchester. Would go as far as saying they’re the worst side we’ve faced so far.

We started off slow but now up into 4th and starting to click. I think the 8 days will do us good and looking forward to the game vs Carlisle now!

Peter Clarke banging the goals in at 39 years old whilst also being part of a defense that has conceded 4 in 11 games. Incredible.

Funny, I would say the fitness level of the side is one of the most impressive aspects, including the old stagers like Foley and Clarke. I thought the tempo we played at tonight was fantastic. We outplayed Colchester for pretty much the entire game.

Peter Clarke is unreal. He is challenging Ian Goodison for legend status. Almost 40 years old and still playing like a teenager. He made his professional debut in 2001. Give him a knighthood for defying nature.

Still remember him coming to us on loan must have been about 20 we were heading for relegation from league 1 and he was like captain material then with virtually no experience. Kept us up with his performances.

Going to be a good game between us and Sutton I reckon. Can only really base it off when have seen them on BT last season in the league below (one game at Notts springs to mind) but seem to have a similar way of wanting to play the game as we do in terms of getting it forward early rather than knocking it side to side constantly then getting the ball down and playing more in the opposition third.

No doubt Richie Bennett will be keen to get on the scoresheet against us. I actually disagreed with Askey letting him go to Stockport when he did. He was a bit limited as a player but far from the worst have ever seen. Keeping a lid on Olaofe will be important too.

Knocks me sick seeing Peter Clarke doing so well at Tranmere. Bordered on legend status at Latics for his performances in the years he was with us and our knobhead owners got rid of him because he was ‘too old’. No chance we’d be where we are with him still here and he was the last person at the club that the fans had a bond with.

Not surprised in the slightest to see him still going well - a top, top pro.

You obviously never went to The Shay before the re-development. That place was truly awful. Quite easily the worst League ground I have ever been to. It made Rochdale before it was done, and that was pretty bad, look at the San Siro. I went there for the first time in about 20 years during our last season in the VNL and was amazed with the difference.

Used to go to The Shay every other Saturday evening to watch the Halifax Dukes speedway in the 70s and also been a few times to watch Bradford City of course. I still maintain Somerton Park was worse

I liked Bennett, he’d have been far more useful than Theo Robinson or Cullen last season that’s for sure! He got a few goals, hammer of a left foot.

I gave my coach ticket and match ticket away for free to some guy this morning so hopefully he has a good day out. I've been for a covid test at synetics next to vale and get the results back tomorrow.

As for this game I can see it being a score draw. 2 2 ex vale players Bennett and Wilson score and worrall and conlon for vale

It’s going to be interesting to see how FGR start here.

Half expecting them to have a slow start and not quite be on it after such an easy game last week. A bit like when a team goes into a new season having only played preseason games against local amateur teams.

There is an awful bug going around with Covid symptoms that I’ve had myself for nearly a month now, during that time my Son did have Covid so I was certain I had it myself and I’d caught it off him but I’ve been tested a couple of times and they both came back negative so hopefully that might just be what you have too.

Swindon been the better side here and would be ahead if they weren't so dirty and we weren't so dirty - foul in the build-up when they got the ball in the net and Sweeney just pulled back the impressive Simpson when he had him on toast again to break clean through down the wing. For a side with a lot of changes Swindon have set up in a great shape and it's put us right off, but we've shown a few signs of life and might step it up after the break. We need to be quicker to the second ball too, losing out on that score as well.

We’ve looked a bit shaky at the back, McGee, Sweeney & Bernard all got away with fuck ups, especially on that Simpson disallowed goal.

Need a bit of tempo in this game, it's all very precise, deliberate and structured.

Great finish from McKirdy after Aitchison spurned that great opening just before. Can only hope Swindon tire a bit now but they've nearly scored again jst.

Fucksticks, McKirdy again from a tight angle or maybe Simpson got the final touch and again just after Ward made a cracking save from March. Can't say Swindon don't deserve it.
