I wouldn't mind it if us and Rovers started a proper rivalry, we haven't had one in years as we've left all our historical rivals behind. I kinda miss it.

Nah, whilst the media try and play up 'rivalries' (no doubt ours will be a 'West Country derby') there just isn't one between our two respective teams.

The same goes for Exeter and Plymouth, also inappropriately called 'West Country derbies'.

Ah its mister obsessed with attendances. Care to explain your 26k as opposed to our 40k a few weeks earlier? All locked outside, in the Grimsby end, abducted by aliens or what???

No, we probably took 26,000 because we sold 26,000 funnily enough

Why do you lot always say the rivalry is dead but you have a thread on our forum with over 16,000 replies...?
It's not out of spite or bitterness, it's just finding humour in your mishaps.

The rivalry is only dead currently because of the difference positions wise between the two clubs - but it'd be a different kettle of fish if we played eachother or were only a league apart again.

Remember Yeovil's banner at Brighton laughing at Bristol Rovers?

That soon backfired

I don't think anyone has forgotten it, I certainly haven't, but it won't have backfired until we surpass them, which we haven't (...yet)

But yes, that will most certainly be brought back up should things go well this season.

I'm sure I saw a gashead with a similar sign for Yeovil at one of the Wembley interviews but couldn't make out what it actually said apart from 'Could be worse Yeovil Town'. Anyone else see it?

Is there a Keswick United? Nobody can afford the petrol to have a rivalry with you :)
I suppose Barrow might be classed as a rivalry if they were to be promoted, but they're still 50 miles away!

There's a Carlisle City, but that will NEVER happen.

I actually made one sign for a customer with Yeovil based content on it, didn't agree with it myself as could only have possibly have got promoted to a division that they currently are in, therefore haven't got anything over them at present. Still, customer gets what the customer wants.

Sorry, we're in league two now, of course I mean Fred not thread, forgive me.

Don't start that, you have been in a proper forum all season, now its time to teach what you learnt to lge 2 and make people name threads properly ready for when we get promoted in 2016.

No knocking taking 40k fans to Wembley, which we also did in 2007. Now I'm sure we would of been closer to 40k fans had the ticket prices been similar to what you paid, also as you got to Wembley first we lost potential day trippers as they went to watch you play, hope this helps answer your question

FFS I've had that Yeovil photo saved in my docs for ages, waiting for the day we over take them and natural order is resumed ;)

Quality reply though! Gutted I didn't think of that myself!

Also, wasn't it 31,000 we took in the end? Either way who cares, in fact, I would say that our 31,000 (in perspective) is more impressive that City's 40,000... Oh, and didn't we take over 40,000 to Wembley last time? Not that it means anything, we all know city are a bigger club, just a shame you can't put them all down at birth eh? ;)
