Telford (12) was our lowest. Dread to think what it would have been had it been a midweek as opposed to a Saturday.
Telford was also our lowest with 6.

Grays were ours, they managed 8

I'd like to point out that we achieved a similar finish in the away support table as we did in the actual league - bigger than Morecambe! Get in!
Wow bigger than Morecambe, what a claim to fame...... :bdick:

James Norwood just on talksport, seems to be common knowledge we are getting big Chinese investment.

Congratulations Tranmere - took your time though

Nah in all seriousness, well done - I know the feeling of getting promoted from the conference, we came straight back up so big respect after stay for 3 years.

I liked the conference though in some ways, great fans down there & very welcoming

Had forgotten all about NFU. I was going to say those were Eastleigh fans at Tranmere. TBF, it's quite some way from Eastleigh to Tranny.

The lowest number of away fans I have ever seen at Prenton Park was actually for a league game against Torquay in the late eighties. Three.

I remember they were all invited into the directors' box.

Did he pull his eyes tight to make his eyes slinty to make himself appear more Chinese........?

At least he didnt use his face paint.

Visual "humour" never translates well on the radio.

What was he saying?
Norwood mostly went on about how they were desperate to avoid defeat and he was dreading the coach back as he sits next to Ridehalgh.

It was the presenters who brought up the investment. Afaik it isn’t going to be a buyout of the club, but a significant escalation of our operation in China which will generate multi-million annual turnover.

I'm late to the party but hello all, nice to be back! Looking forward to a trip to Oldham... which has definitely never been said by a Tranmere fan before ;) Joking aside, looking forward to it. Fancy Lincoln to win the league next year if they don't win the play offs this time around.

Congratulations and welcome back to the EFL. About time too! I expected you back sooner, but got there in the end.

I know the final is still ongoing but they are playing Boreham fucking Wood. Promotion was as good as sealed before the national anthem. 1-0 up even with 10 men, easy afternoons work.

Welcome back. Proper league club.

thanks mate , i enjoyed the conf loads of great people on there but im not gonna lie its great to be back amongst old freinds and foes

That’s correct, think we won 3-0 with 10 men too.
In the early to mid eighties it wasn’t uncommon to see the away enclosure (Bebbington paddock) completely empty of away fans.
Lowest number of Tranmere fans I can remember at an away game was at Field Mill on a Tuesday night just after Frank Worthington had been sacked. 16.

No, it was definitely Torquay. I think it was a Monday night game and Chris Malkin scored his first goals for us.

I did not start going away until 1988, so I missed the really low turnouts of the early eighties. The lowest Tranmere away crowds I have been part of were 70-80 at Rochdale in the Leyland Daf in the season that we won it (always makes me smile that there are only a handful of people that saw every round of that run) and a similar number at Solihull in the hastily rearranged Trophy game last season.

IF they’ve a big budget they’ve a great chance. Or they could just do a Mansfield and have a promotion budget and not even make the playoffs.

Cheers mr flitcroft

I feel like MK Dons are the sort of club that could get the business done in this league.

Tranmere will be strong next season, 7,000 crowds every week and a good momentum will be a good combo for them.

MK Dons, and the 3 who don’t go go via the play-offs will be up there... Fancy Mansfield and Swindon up there too.

I've always liked Tranmere as an away day. When I still lived in Crewe you had the Chester or Liverpool option pre and post match for making a day of it, living in Lancs it's more of a Liverpool option now, which is still good. Not sure how they will go on in the league, I cannot see them struggling, I think mid-table will be their lot this coming season, which Rovers fans would take I imagine.

Mostly depends how Cook and Norwood do in the step up. I see Doidge got 19 this year though.

Hasn’t Norwood already played at this level and flopped?

I could be completely wrong but the name rings a bell.
