If we don't go up Bolton coming down is the only good thing about being in League 1. Their ground is 0.7 miles from my house.

Probably a naff away day though. Seemingly only one pub round here lets away fans in - unless you drink in Manchester beforehand.

If it makes it any more understandable I've never been as drunk as I was that day, made the fact we played Keith Andrews at centre back and the 4-2 loss a bit more bearable

Sorry, but there is no way on this green Earth that a trip to Northampton or Bolton is better than one to London.

No offense intended mate, just not a fan. Can't stand London personally, pain to drive to, in and around, expensive and there's millions of busy bodied people everywhere. Personally avoid every/any London game each season.

In my time supporting Walsall (11 years) I'd say I average 10 away games per season and in that time, I can only think of Millwall away x1 and Wembley that I've attended in London. Can't stand the place. So to me, a day in Bolton after a cruise up the M6 or an hours drive to Northampton with a decent away following is miles more appealing.

Why would you drive to London when it's so easy to get to/get around on the train and tube with God knows how many hundreds and thousands of boozers to choose from?

Even as a Londoner, I bloody love away days in the capital.

We are hoping they do keep that area season ticket free to maximise attendances when we don't with the home support...

That's the maximum we give out away now, police/stewarding advice or some nonsense, nobody will ever beat Wolves as that was the trial to see what it would be like.

I still can't believe 7,080 tickets for away supporters wasn't enough.

I think the max away allocation will rise to about 1600 next year for the bigger games, reckon a few teams will need that.

It will certainly be interesting to see what happens with the away allocation. With so many people wanting to see us now we are top I expect the home attendances to soar regardless, especially with the early season ticket sales. Expanding the away end is still a must IMO down the line.

Yeah ST over 1,000 in a week isn't bad. Especially with 25% being new fans.

I'm sure we'd sell that, but knowing us we'll get relegated and half of the 10 fans we have already will leave because we're not in the championship.

No we sold out entirely not long after they went on sale, ended up having more than allocated apparently considering the away attendance was 943.
We normally sell out at Northampton, about the only place we do mind you but then again we've not played Luton in ages and they're quite close too
