It's been bizarre today, watching people - some friends, some acquaintances, a few complete bellends - drift in to this forum.

It's like some kind of disaster zone or at the RAF airfield in the war, where you wait anxiously on news of those who 'made it'. With every familiar name appearing, a cheer goes up and there's a round of slightly un-British hugging with a furtive look round to make sure your mates don't catch you being a bit dodgy.

Glad when it's all over and we can get back to the banter and just fucking with each others' heads again.

I think we need a TFF Truth and Reconciliation Commission. I understand the Archbishop of Canterbury is free and would be happy to sit down in a big circle with all the TFF mods, admins, owners and those who were, at some stage, banned for being too disrespectful, too c**tish or just downright rude.

We're doomed to go round in circles, but to address something that hasn't been discussed yet: how was the most recent 'disrespect' different from the garden variety disrespect that comes with the job? I had seen much worse directed at admin in those preceding years. Tom was no stranger to the other side of that coin, either, and has engaged in some pretty off-colour wind-ups and attacks himself over the course of TFF's history. It was part and parcel of the forum when I joined up. But then it was OK to torture members, as you and others did to me, Max and Renegade, and attack other forums in the name of 'good fun', back in the early days. You could take it just as well as you could dish it out back then. Maybe it stopped being as much fun once the good ol' boys had departed?
