I'd like to remind everybody that Liverpool haven't won a single game this year. In fact they've lost 100% of the games they've played.

£7.4 million.

Great deal. He's on loan from a Middle Eastern club isn't he? He played a blinder against me on FM and went on to have a great season so I signed him.

Same old from us...consistently inconsistent. There are times when I look back at City away and think how can we be so bad when we were brilliant then games like today, how were we so good.

Benteke wasn't at the races today but there's far too much pressure on him to get the goals. I get really frustrated with the three behind him as they don't make runs ahead of him or get the ball to him quickly. He will get stick because of price tag and his record in the Premiership but other players need to step up.

I worry when people say Klopp needs signings. But in reality apart from De Bruyne, Payet, Lanzini, Cech, Wijnaldum, Cabaye...who out of the other 50 or so signings in the Premiership have made an impact? We signed good Premiership players in Clyne, Milner and Benteke, a top player from Germany and none of them have done wonders. Villa signed loads and they're all rubbish.

We've spent so much money on Mignolet, Sakho, Lovren, Clyne, Moreno but we're still poor defensively. I personally think the way forward is make small under the radar signings who can play in our formation rather than constantly go for the marquee signing who we we're trying to fit into the side.

Unfancied players like James Collins and Mark Noble were fantastic today. They're consistent, up for the fight and hold their team together. Again like Newcastle and Watford, we just weren't up to it and full of soft players who get brushed off the ball too easily.

I hope you're tasking the piss because most of you're players were some of the worst I have seen all season, Sakho doesn't look like he's ever played football which is exactly what he's looked like all season. I'd say more than half of your players especially in defence look completely lacklustre.

You could do with Collins and Noble in your team but I doubt they'd want to move downhill in their career...

My post didn't come across properly. I'm not saying we should try to sign them but they play a role in their side which suits them and their team. Comment about them was more or less based on their performance yesterday and how we lacked their qualities.

Big issue we have is we don't have players that fit our system. We have 3 number 10s and 2 of them play out of position. Benteke drops off, Firmino doesn't run ahead and when Benteke gets to 6 yard box, the lads dont cross the ball to him.

I think Sakho is a good defender but his ball control is poor. If he was allowed to just defend rather than play the ball out of defence he would be consistent.

Am I surprised by this result? The answer is no.

How could I when more of a taker than a giverpool are involved?

Do you seriously think he's a decent premier league player?
He's a decent defender yes, but he still has games where he looks like a headless chicken I admit. Nothing either of the CB's could do about your goals yesterday imo, superb crosses and bullet headers.

Not really, Collins and Noble are third rate players at best. Two wins against us does not make them World class players. Players like Sakho and Can are French and German international players. They are by no means world class players but 3 or 4 level about the two players you mentioned.

Maybe Collins and Noble will join Leicester, now that is a huge step up.

Maybe you're right, after all it was just one game. But when you've facing our fourth-choice CB in Collins and he excels, is it not a bit worrying that Can, Sakho, might not be all they're made up to be?

Separate note, I love him but thought Noble had a 50/50 game. Gets caught in possession and is loose with the pass too much, but makes up with it with blocks and delivered a good cross for Carroll's goal. If Song could manage more than one game a fortnight or Obiang (who looks ok, nothing more) had progressed I think Noble's starting place could be the next to be under threat. Not cause he's a bad player, but the rest of the team has gotten better around him. Other issue if he's dropped is the captaincy. Only players that potentially could take the armband permanently are Reid (gets his fair share of injuries) and the aforementioned Song. Perhaps Payet is next in line...

Agree, but it shows how quickly he's become idolised by the fans. The ovation was really long, almost as if he's come back from a career-threatening injury, then he does a FIFA-style shoulder button move three times to evade four Liverpool players (or along those lines). He's the sort of player we crave, haven't really had since DiCanio's pomp (Tevez got the closest), and he's obviously a bit special. Who knows how long he'll stay here though.
