Southampton in front through Austin again at half time, surprised they've left a goalscorer like him out the side for so long, something is really not right with West Ham.

Well worked goal from Southampton and great composure from Tadic, West Ham their own worst enemy there though giving the ball away.

Easy peasy. Sometimes better to bring a striker in from QPR than Juventus. ;)

My total disdain for everything about West Ham's frankly awful new stadium is making me want them to keep imploding, I must admit.

It would be rather funny if West Ham got relegated in their new shiny ground

Fucking hilarious you mean. It would be worth it just to see the look on Brady's ugly Tory mug.

Of course moving to the new ground shouldn't excuse their poor defending and all around play.

Some of the players are probably quite pleased the fans are a long way from the pitch so they don't hear the stick/abuse they are getting!

Easy win. 3-0 flattered them.

People go on about how stadiums like St. Mary's are soulless bowls but fuck me, that ground is the worst home atmosphere I've ever experienced and I've been to the Emirates and Etihad. Unlucky West Ham fans.

The premier league has another tourist attraction.

Every away team that plays there seems to like it, actually.

It's just so far away from the pitch it's obviously a ground that never had the intention of hosting football there. As for West Ham's new signings none of them are particularly impressing, Gokhan Tore has been woeful whenever I've seen him and Zaza was poor today. Pressure on Bilic, great result for Southampton thought they were very impressive, 4 straight wins and 4 clean sheets, think they'll be absolutely fine as usual.

I didn't know part of the London 2012 legacy was turning the Olympic Stadium into a circus :dk:

At least at the Emirates there's a ripple of applause every now and then. At West ham they're too busy trying to punch each other.

Was at the game, and didn't hear pumped out crowd noise. Tinpot we may increasingly be, and can only comment on where I was sitting, but didn't hear anything.

We were total shite. Teams now know they just have to turn up and sit in 2nd gear, we'll gift a couple of goals and have no attacking zip to threaten. When everyone knows we've got dire problems at full back (not the entire problem, but a consistent theme and source of opposition goals) you only need a couple of reasonable balls in the gaping holes behind them to split us up.

Alarming for me was that in the entire time at the game, sitting in the Bobby Lower where most of the singing occurs, I heard perhaps maybe two songs all game. Even in our darkest days and far worse results there's more than that, and to think of it I didn't hear "Bubbles" sung once outside of the tannoy-lead opener.

Few little empty areas visible where I assume ticket holders who were banned used to sit. One area was a group of three/four blokes who when at the Watford game were told to sit down and were probably on final warnings, but then - and I'm not kidding - when we scored our second goal they jumped up and were turfed out. Fast forward to this game, a group of 10-12 friend's friends were kicked out at half time for standing up - the stewards snidely waited til halftime when they left the seats to get a beer, snagged their tickets and kicked them out. Yet where I was sitting on the Bobby Lower we stood all game (as does the vast majority of that stand) you got no comments from stewards at all. Seems like you're fucked if you want to stand and no-one else around you wants to.

Bilic has to change something. The defensive problems are there at fullback but the reality is we're totally ineffective in midfield and upfront too - only Antonio is near his form of last season. Bilic seems very wedded to the system that worked last season so perhaps he's thinking it's just a matter of time, but for whatever reason it's not working. Maybe switch to a back three, have Byram and Antonio out wide, at least they can then get in an additional CB and hopefully solidify/be able to shift across easier in the fullback positions.
