Labour have suspended David Prescott from Corbyn's office and have launched an internal investigation, after allegations were received. The nature of the claims have not been disclosed and Labour are refusing to comment. The report is being juxtaposed by the BBC with the backdrop of all this business, so I've put it here, but note it could be erroneous and coincidental to lump it in with other recent shenanigans. Labour just aren't saying.

Following the death of Carl Sargeant after being suspended and sacked from Labour, Welsh Labour First Minister Carwyn Jones is under pressure from party colleagues as well as Plaid Cymru and the Tories - regarding his handling of the allegations made against Sargeant. Basically whether Jones followed process correctly.

Welsh Labour AM Jenny Rathbone told BBC Radio Wales she felt Mr Sargeant had "not been dealt with fairly". One Labour AM who did not wish to be named, said there were "questions for the first minister over this" and another questioned what support Mr Sargeant had received since Friday.
"I think there are questions about the procedure that was followed," said a third Labour AM, who also did not want to be identified. "The suspicion is that there was a political decision to remove him from the cabinet. I don't have any quarrel with that. "But to mix the two things was wrong."

It raises interesting questions, about what processes and recourse of defence any politician should have or shouldn't have, following allegations of this nature. Although it probably shouldn't have taken a death to trigger that conversation.
