Anyone planning on watching Humans tonight on Channel 4? It's based on some Swedish show apparently, about artificial intelligence in everyday life. It's got Jen from The IT Crowd in it as well strangely.

Saw the first episode last night - really enjoyed it. I'll be hooked I think. I'm a sucker for anything on robotics and future AI anyway.

I thought Humans was brilliant, I'll definitely be watching the rest of the series. Obvious parallels with things like I, Robot and Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?/Blade Runner but I don't think that's a bad thing.

I've watched the first 5 episodes of The Last Ship, anyone else seen this? A virus is wiping out the earths population but an American warship was in the arctic so avoided it, it's not as bad as it sounds honest!
Yes. It was ok. Nothing to write home about but by the same token not rubbish either. Its has a neat story to it while the acting is a little ropey at times it does have a several good bits. Has been renewed for a second series too. Worth a watch.

I really liked Humans too - very well acted by the robots and the storyline seems to be well set-up for a good series.

Judging by the advert Waay too similar to Extant.

For anyone who has seen Extant was it better or worse?

Just rewatching S4 and 5 of Breaking Bad...because it's fantastic. Finished the S4 finale...so good. The end scene when Walt says 'I've won' - is one of the best scenes in TV history IMO.

Overlayed with the song Black, it is perfection itself.

Was just flicking through there and the Crawl Space episode was on, god its just so good.

Saw 10 minutes of Humans last night, think I'll give it a go too.

The S4 finale, Crawl Space and Ozymandias are without doubt my favourite 3 episodes of the entire lot. The best TV ever made. Ozymandias just about pips it for the shock factor of that episode. Could sit and watch the series through and through.

Ozymandias was outstandingly good, very very rare to find an episode of that quality. Won quite a few awards if I remember correctly.

Anybody watching Wayward Pines on Fox? It's certainly weird, but not in a bad way.

It's about time I gave an update on my South Park watching efforts.

About 4 episodes into season 5, and yeah, it's really fucking good. It's gone just how I suspected it would... it took a while to hook me in, but slowly won me over and now I'm loving it. It's gone from something that I always assumed was just kind of cheap, crass humour to something that's actually a lot smarter than it lets on and is very self aware of things that I used to think were pretty shit.

The last episode I saw was "Scott Tenorman must die", which I know is regardest as one of the very best. Holy shit, that end

By the way, did I mention that I saw the movie, too? Yeah, that was great too. And yes, I do have the soundtrack now.

Oh, and can I just say how fucking cool it is that I finally get a whole new bunch of references? Like, for example, while playing football on Wednesday night, somebody yelled out "TIMMAY!" and I was like:

I watched all series 1 last night, it was good, but stupid at the same time. Where did you watch series 2?

The film is one of my favourite films ever. Brilliant from start to finish. I think after the film South Park just took off and got better and better

The last three or four seasons of South Park haven't been amazing, but there are still some belting episodes in it. However for about 7 or 8 straight seasons, it was utter quality. They are always up to date on the latest issues too, I saw an episode recently where the lads had drones and accidentally caught sight of a naked woman who pursued them about it but ended up being embarrassed by the whole town, as she had a hairy minge, and got laughed at, as supposedly no woman has a hedge down there these days! :D

Yeah, I've seen a couple episodes so far that were referencing current events at the time. Hell, the last episode I watched was "Osama Bin Laden has farty pants", which was the episode that aired just after 9/11. But I also saw that Jakovasaur episode which aired just after Star Wars Episode 1 came out, where they basically made the thing as annoying as possible to mimic Jar Jar... fucking hell that thing was annoying. Like, I was genuinely turning the volume down all the way through the episode.

I've not seen it for ages but it's got the same sort of production schedule as the topical comedy shows. They do the whole thing in six days, which for animation is just unreal.

There was a docco about it a few years ago.

If you watch it online to keep up with the US, then they're uploaded and can be watched Thursday mornings, first episode of Season 5 last night.
