Just bought my first bit of new vinyl for a very long time - Of course, it's a release of tracks from the 70's

Been digging out some tracks that were Juke Box favourites at some of my old haunts. Starting with a must play for the King's Head Lancers (Ulverston) before we were allowed to move on to Family, Hendrix, Dylan etc.

This one was required playing by the resident skinhead in the snooker room at Middleton Tower Holiday Camp (Pontins), incidentally where I was introduced to Carling Black Label.

Finally a classic from the pubs of Reading, when having left the greaser/skinhead boxes behind I could admit I liked Stevie Wonder, the Temptations and Marvin Gaye.

I'm listening to this, trying to make up my mind on whether to keep or sell it on Discogs. Right now I'm leaning towards 'keep', not because of it's musical delights (or lack of) but more like it's nice to have a handful of rare records in your collection. Am I right or am I right?

So many covers of Tim Hardin tunes around and not a single one comes even remotely close to the genius of the great man himself, and the biggest offender by quite some distance is that awful Rod Stewart cover of Reason to Believe. But apparently, some folk reckon the covers are better because, hold on.....Tim couldn't sing very well. Ahahahahaha

This guy's so talented. Good thing I don't live in Kiev or I'll spend all my days doing nothing but listening to his music.

Another artist that I'm listening to a lot this days is Heklaa. This particular tune is simply divine.
