What happened to the site then?

You would think given that this place is run for profit that the service provided would be much more professional. Nope!

From the brief look I had on that board, the site of the competitor (that isn't run for profit) appears to have barely any downtime and looks and runs much more smoothly. It also has an admin team who respond to their users with honest answers when they are asked questions.

Given that TB is generating a nice stream of revenue from his initial opportunism and coup d'etat, you'd think he'd invest more energy in cultivating this board. Maybe a recruitment drive or at least ensuring that downtime was kept to a minimum.

Okay, I'm going to get way more passionate now than this topic deserves, but I'd be lying if I said the dishonest answers/the complete lack of self-awareness about the woeful service he is providing didn't wind me up.

He needs to muster some damn spirit and take some pride in his board. If he isn't arsed but he still wants the money, then take up a different role. If it's a business (it is) invest something in expanding it and take the royalties. He could even pay somebody to do it.

Well the last time it went down I did try to get people to move over to that other forum, but no everyone just stayed here and couldn't be arsed moving which was disappointing.

After TFF ended, the other forum is where everyone was looking to go and it would have been great and ideal to have just the 1 forum really busy and active, but OFF was then created and unfortunately the TFF lot came back here and it was good for a couple of years but then of course these site problems began and continue to happen driving people away.

Now I don't have anything against TB and I don't know anything about running a forum myself, I do believe he has tried his best. I just want there to be a busy reliable football forum to be able to post on.

Yes quiet, but reliable and if people had bothered to move over then it could have become busier.

Loads of us were members of the other forum about 5/6 years ago ( City & Rovers fans ) and basically most left when it got so crappy. And it is still crap.

This is a great L2 forum and plenty of regulars from most clubs, some going back years with the originally TFF days (I’m 35 next month and my username was my age when I joined!)

Just needs to get rid of the ads and the downtime as not many if any L2 meeting places like this.

This is what I can see on the League 2 forum. It’s completely fucked for me.

On this page half way down there’s a weird line on it which won’t let me click any link above it. Wouldn’t even let me click on the post reply box and start typing til I scrolled down further. This site is a total mess at the moment.

Edit: I’ve added the attachment with the weird line. I couldn’t click my name or “Deepcut Cobbler” but I could click the attachment. That line is like a frozen section which is untouchable.
