Will include any/all chat transcripts from now on as they've been much better with communication recently.

Site was flooded all weekend with the pathetic tears of Bottega Don following his side's defeat to their once again and rightfully superior neighbours.

Like many will have on here I have more than a few people close to me supposedly in high risk categories and some of them rely on me for support (god help them!).

Nevertheless, for those who care we're actually on a brand new server now. Goes without saying that the former was no longer fit for purpose. There's a little info on it here, should you know anyone who still can't get on; http://www.thefootballforum.net/index.php?threads/out-with-the-old-in-with-the-new.22370

Stay Safe,

Site seems to have settled down of late. Lets hope it stays that way.

But the FGR forum has been upgraded and first impressions are very unfavourable.
They let loose some in-house computer programmers who have a different mind set to the rest of the population. They ignore their own advice of KISS.
FGR should have bought a basic forum from web and worked on that rather than do everything from scratch.
It is such a mess that I can envisage a fan setting up a pirate forum.
In some ways it matters less than it did a few years ago; support for all forums has greatly diminished while activity on Facebook/Twitter has/is taking its place.
Even this site has less activity than it did only a few years ago.

Yep had a look, never seen such a clusterfuck of a forum.

You need to keep a forum simple if it's gonna work, as always it's people at the club thinking they know better and doing whatever they want rather then asking for any fan feedback. Bit like the official site.

I've never understood why FGR only have an official forum. Surely there's a couple of fans who'd run one?

MONEY
Ecotricity pay for site.
Starting up from scratch a fan would have to put his hand in his own pocket to pay for it.

I'd be surprised if it's worse than Wimbledon's forum.

Stevenage's forum looks like the Conference Forum proper retro look. Not sure if Hoagy still runs that one.

Anyone remember confguide?

My work considers the front page as gambling, and League 2 forum as a sex site.

I have to enter the forum via the League 2 Discussion thread.

Same here, I’ve arsed around with the WiFi to try and fix it but gave up?

You probably checked out old existing forum which was quite good.
But somebody high up in charge deemed it to be unsafe, hence new forum.
The more I check it out the less I like it.
Ah yeah, that's a bit of an in your face design.

The old forum still sticking around? What's unsafe about it?
