I know it has been fashionable since time began to bash Scottish footy but come on guys. Like really? The likes of Motherwell and Aberdeen will smash the tinpot sides we follow. You know, the likes of Cambridge, FGR, Mansfield and Grimsby.

I don’t think so

A few players released by mansfield have gone down to the conference then to the SPL. In my time I’ve seen a good 15/20 ex Mansfield lads in the SPL.

Obviously your Celtic’s and rangers are different

Motherwell have just signed Jordan White from Inverness, who was dreadful in the National League for Barrow just a couple of years ago. Similar story with Sam Cosgrove at Aberdeen. I honestly doubt L2 is far off being stronger than SPL.

What kinda crowds would you hope for in the league? I see you got just over 2,000 in the conference.

We would've been getting around 4,000 for the remaining games of the season, so when crowds are back, as long as we aren't struggling, I'd expect more than 3,000.

Bottom place is ours after we go bust, so you're safe from that.

And I hope nobody pipes up with 'but we beat St Johnstone 3 nil in a PSF a year ago'. Cos that's just what it is. A PSF.
The Jocks do take their pre-season friendlies 'fair serious' though. We lost 4-3 to Hibs in out first PSF last summer and they brought around 1000 fans down for it and celebrated their last minute winner like they'd just won the European Cup. It was a pretty even game and we were 3-1 up until we brought four or five kids on all at once, and their winner was courtesy of a certain Christian Doidge.

I think if you put a league 2 team in the SPL they’d easily survive.

He's definitely played against us in the past - I think for one of the southern teams. Why, is he good?

i've googled him now - not scored too often (but neither had Scott Quigley before this season) - Ex Cheltenham and a few Scots teams.

He was so good for us, Doncaster took a punt on him.

Players have a habit of being good then turning crap when they sign for us. We’re actually quite good at that.

Good thing with barrow coming up is that it’s a pretty northern division

Barrow, Carlisle, Grimsby, Morecambe, Salford, bolton, Oldham, Bradford, Tranmere, Scunthorpe, Mansfield, Macclesfield (maybe)

To cut through the swathe of hilarious, still funny Bingham stuff, it'll be interesting to see if Barrow can keep Evatt. Whenever a guy gets promoted playing the kind of style they did, it's always difficult to keep him, bound to be a few L1/L2 teams sniffing around him and his staff.

And, even if they do stay, how can they improve the squad. Yes, it's possible they keep the same core and just blast through, but what is more likely is they can't all handle the step up and stutter into a mid-table finish, which I'm sure is a decent outcome.

Going to be a fair few teams that come undone when they travel there that's for sure, bitch of a journey for anyone south of Birmingham.

It's nice to see a new face join the league as well.
