As our season is hopefully pretty much finished I’m thinking who I want to see join us next season in this tramp league we call league one.

Think Burton and Sunderland are down so out of Barnsley and Birmingham I’d pick Barnsley, don’t particularly like Birmingham but Barnsley is a local game and will be nice to see them back down here.

Accrington will be interesting, presumably join by Luton and Wycombe which doesn’t particuarly appeal to me, although Accrington and Wycombe could fill two relegation spots. I hope they’re joined by Lincoln, who we haven’t played in years and years and I live 2 minutes from the ground.

Burton, Sunderland and Birmingham.

Accrington, Notts County, Mansfield and Luton*.

Couldn’t care less about Luton, but as they’re effectively up already I feel as though I may aswell list them.

Birmingham. We are horrendous against Barnsley. They are one of our many many bogey sides. Also I've been to Oakwell about 4 times, probably my second most visited away ground after the dog shaggers.

Don't care who comes up. Accrington is close but it's just a meh away day in my experience.

Accrington, Luton, Lincoln and Notts County

All for away day purposes (except Luton but I think they're gonna go up).

Burton, Sunderland and Reading. Want the first two to stay up but they're pretty much gone now and Reading away sounds shite.

Want Accy to go up, don't really care about the rest.

Burton, Birmingham and Reading would be fantastic, as unlikely as it is, 2 of them would be more than enough, especially as it looks like at least 2 of the teams getting promoted are either Northern or Shrewsbury, so straight away that's 2 closer away days next season at very least

League 2 i'm a bit split on, scum, Luton and Wycombe are all horrible, nasty clubs I would rather languish down there, but they're all good away days for us so with them whatever happens I will be ok with.

Accrington isn't a great away game, and they'll bring no fans here, but after missing out like they did last season I do hope they come up, other than that pretty much everyone in the mix down there i'd be happy to play next season, either 'cos I like the club, or they're local/a fairly big game

Either way League 1 looks like it's gonna be a fair bit more southern next year, so lets bloody hope we're still here to enjoy it

Not so sure about that. It'd like be Wigan and Blackburn go up and likely replaced by Sunderland and Burton. Other one between Barnsley/Brum and the Po. Charlton?

Going down it could end up being MK Dons, Northampton and Wimbledon with a fight back from Rochdale

Sure, it looks like Luton and Wycombe come up but so are Accrington and potentially one of Notts, Lincoln or Mansfield.

It'd be nice to have some nearer teams for away days. But we could end up with even more travel. For us, anyway.

We can all agree that L2 is going to send us some utter shit.

Sunderland could be a fun day and they're almost certain to get relegated again because it's what they do.

Yeah I can’t see the four coming up this year been as strong as ourselves, Blackpool and of course Portsmouth and Plymouth who are still potential play-off teams.

F*ck sakes, if it ends up being Barnsley, Burton & Sunderland that will be awful.

Sure Sunderland will be good but 2 very uninspiring northern teams coming down.

Was really hoping for 1 of Birmingham or Reading to come down

Well Reading would be ideal.

But why not Birmingham?

You don’t want Reading down either, although I guess it’s a easy journey by train for Bristol fans. I’ll be sad to go up and miss out on Luton. Great club and fans. Think the current bottom three in the Championship will stay as it is now.

Definitely don’t want Reading coming down. Small club who got bankrolled and play in blue and white in a stadium they can’t fill.

Wait...

I’d say Reading are a bigger club than Bradford to be honest.

Have a word, they’ve been a tinpot lower league side until the last 30 years when they started getting bankrolled.

They’re like Fleetwood and Wigan but they started earlier.

Easy trip down the M4 where we'd sell out nearly any away crowd the give us, whats not to like?

If we are in the same league as Reading and doing similar, both home and away we'd have far higher crowds not even up for debate. That been said I think SMH was just giving a bit back, or you'd hope so. Before the early 00's I had Swindon and Oxford as bigger and more successful clubs.

Not sure you'd sell 4k mate. Burton said a quality away day it's hardly northern. Couple of hours on the train.

Since we're stuck in this league again next season I may as well take part.

To come down I'd like to see:

Sunderland - Big club, I've never been and my managers a season ticket holder.
Bolton - Enjoyed our games with them last season due to the Parkinson factor, would like to play him again next season.
Burton - Decent away day and won't have tons f money to throw at it like a Blackburn or Wigan, so it gives us a better chance.

To come up:

Accrington - Local, although we always seem to lose to them.
Notts County - Decent stadium and decent away day
Coventry - Casino under the stadium, not too tricky to get to.
Lincoln - Never been, not to far and I think most City fans like Lincoln due to past events.

Sadly I can only see Accrington and one other of these coming up with probably Luton and Wycombe meh. Think it'll be Barnsley and not Bolton who come down, but at least it's local.

If we manage to stay up, would like to see Sunderland, Burton and Bolton come down, with Accrington, Notts County, Lincoln and Exeter* up.

As long as Exeter (away) is in warm, Spring or Autumn weather, when the away terrace there is at its best. If it be raining, then i'll go for the strippers at Wycombe instead...:)

Im fairly sure we could take 4K to Reading. If we were relegation then perhaps not, but I’m fairly confident (on a Saturday of course).

We took 4K roughly to Coventry last season

I don’t mind if Northern teams come up or down, can get to most places in no more than 3 hours on the train, always make for a good day out.

Burton and Sunderland are already down. Would like Birmingham to come down for the away day but they will likely be challenging at the top end so would prefer Barnsley in that respect and think it will be.

The top 3 in League 2 look all but up to me and they are all a bit meh so hopefully either Notts County or Coventry to join them.

Coventry or Exeter would be great. Coventry fans deserve something to celebrate too.

I wouldn’t mind Lincoln either - always like them and felt bad for knocking them out the play offs in 07 where after that it all went downhill for them and were relegated to the conference for years

It's just lacking in all of the things that make an away day good.. Soulless stadium, awful location, nothing to do nearby, poor atmosphere. The only plus is how easy it is to reach from Bristol.
