And preferably why, because unexplained lists aren’t that much fun.

Up:

Stockport - where my dad’s from and still have relatives there, so a doable away game
Wrexham - have a mate who supports them, plus I don’t mind the Hollywood hoopla/hype just for one game
Mansfield - they’ve been in the basement for ages, plus we still owe them for sending the Gas down to the conference instead of us that one time
Barrow - pure novelty value and tickoff potential

Definitely don’t come up:
Franchise - I hate the fact that anyone could ever think this is a derby

Down:
Well Rotherham are effectively down, so there’s only really 2 spots to choose from..
QPR - nice easy local game and ages since we’ve played them. Wouldn’t have liked to face them whilst Ainsworth was managing them but that’s not a problem now…
Plymouth - we were a bogey team for them for ages, although the spell did break the season they went up.

Definitely don’t come down:
Huddersfield - we’ve got a garbage record against them, and they even were as rude as to slap us 6-0 not once, but twice on Sky. No thanks.

Stockport: local and it's been years since we've played them.
Wrexham: they will bring numbers to ours and it's another close one for me.
Mansfield: it looks likely they will get promoted but it's as boring a fixture you can imagine.
Undecided on the 4th .

Huddersfield: Local and big away end. Decent pubs close by as well. Solid away day .
Rotherham: relegated already.
QPR: About time. They have stunk out that league for 3 straight seasons.

The sides coming down won't affect us.

I'd like to see Mansfield come up as they definitely deserve it after all the near misses. Wrexham hopefully to get their stupid spending away from League Two. Stockport wouldn't be a bad away day to have but they chuck a fair bit around too so they can go up. MK or Morecambe for the play offs hopefully. Get them gone. Can't stand them both. Hopefully Crewe stay down.

Want as many new grounds for my lad as possible as he's already well on his way ticking them off.

Up - Stockport (friends in Manchester), Wrexham (never been and love to be in a documentary), MK Dons (nice big seats), AFCW (new ground, London)

Don't want - Mansfield (been there too many times)

Down - Argyle (obvious reasons), QPR (never been, London), Rotherham (new ground, they are down anyway).

Don't want - Huddersfield (always get battered), Birmingham (for Stanno)

Given Stevenage, Northampton and Orient this season I wouldn’t be surprised to see Wrexham and Stockport do well next season, especially given how stale the middle to lower end of league has been.

I'd like to see Wrexham and Stockport go up. Both grounds I've not been to and the fans (excluding all the new Wrexham ones) have been through a tough time so it is nice to see them do well.
AFC Wimbledon would be great for a local game and haven't done their new ground if they can make the playoffs.
Looks like Mansfield will be going up as well and I don't have too much of a problem with that.
Don't want: MK Dons. Asides from the obvious, I've seen us play them 7 times. 6 losses 1 draw. The stadium is great but a pain to get to on the train.

Down.
QPR and Millwall. Good local games even if we haven't beaten the Wall since 1996 and have our worst winning record against them. 15.8% in 76 games lol. Comparably Arsenal are second worst with 16.4% in 55 games. We have to beat them again eventually surely?
Both have found form though so looks like they could well stay up. Hopefully Watford get dragged into it too.
Wouldn't mind Birmingham and Stoke but would probably rather avoid Wednesday and Huddersfield.

I am convinced we will go down therefore I would like Mansfield to stay down with Walsall, Wimbledon ( as my mate is a season ticket holder ), Stockport and notts county.
Get rid of Wrexham please.

Want up:
Stockport - Other half has family up there
Wrexham - New ground
Wimbledon - New Ground & London
Walsall - Easy to get to and seem to do well there

Dont want up:
Mansfield - Even though they're going to, been there so many times

Want down:
Argyle - Obvious
QPR - London and new ground
Birmingham - Again, easy to get to
Rotherham - Only here cause they're basically down already

Don't want down:
Wednesday - As funny as it is, it gets boring them being a yo-yo
Hudders - Still get shudders from them battering us with Jordan Rhodes scoring what felt like a hattrick in every game

Big caveat of, you know, us needing to still be here but here goes.

Prefer to come down:

Huddersfield Town
Stoke City

Both for location and a new ground over anything else, Wednesday I've not done but someone different would be interesting. Pretty indifferent beyond that club wise, I'm sure a few would like Millwall for the bantz of the Harris situation, but if they go down he's gone anyway so nevermind. Not done Rotherham, so that being a given is alright too.

Prefer to come up:

Stockport & Wrexham - Location, both decent away days, and also despite all the noise around the latter, would be good to see them both up here after so long wading through the shite.

Barrow - New ground (although really shouldn't be by now!), excuse for the Lakes, we have a bizarrely good record at their gaff and just would be good to see them up at this level. It's a long time since ''Barrow rule the third''.

Probably Crewe after that I guess, maybe Walsall just so we can all sit around and fiddle with ourselves talking about how great it was to have Liam Bennett playing for us.

Finally, and I know it's unlikely, but no Mansfield or MK Dons would be magnificent.

Appreciate 3 from 4 of Mansfield, Stockport, disney and MK probably isn’t the most enticing list to choose from for the autos.

Many twists and turns, mansfield’s last 2 away games are at MK and barrow, whereas wrexham and stockport play each other on the last game of the season.

I'd like the current top 4 in L2 to come up as they're clearly the strongest in that league and means we'll get to avoid them next season as that's the league we'll be playing in unfortunately.

Don’t care who comes down from the Championship.

Up: Ideal scenario would be Stockport have been through enough over the years, so definitely them. Barrow as we usually beat them. Crewe as they’ll be relegation fodder year on year and it’s a great away day. And someone, anyone southern via the playoffs.

Dont want: Franchise, obviously.

Down: Rotherham are obviously going to come down and then finish top 6. Best case from the other two for me would be Millwall and Birmingham. ‘Wall because they’re very funny to beat especially at the Den and Birmingham because I’ve never been to St. Andrews.

Don’t want: QPR (Loftus Road is appalling and I can’t be arsed with the Paul Smyth drama), Huddersfield (nice club; simply don’t want to see them get relegated) or Stoke (don’t want them here if Vale aren’t here. Also, it’s fucking Stoke).

Huddersfield fans weren't very nice when we were losing 1-0 on the last day of the 2010 season and going down.
Made it even sweeter when we won 2-1 and stayed up. Thank you, Ryan Harley

Huddersfield fans. Absolute wankers. All because we beat them 1-0 at their place when they were going for promotion to the premier league. Afterwards they were positively vitriolic, confronting our fans and shouting and screaming at us because we turned them over in the last minute. Bunch of wankers. Not gracious in defeat at all. We needed an escort to the train station. And then, the week after when we beat Leeds they were cheering for us.
I hope they end up playing farsley Celtic in the conference north. Horrible bastards.

We had an odd run where we relegated each other on 3 occasions in the 00's, Huddersfield us twice and we sent them down to L2 with a 5-1 win all at VP. Weird coincidence, our last two relegation's mind have been confirmed with 0-0 draws.

Best game against we've had against them though was the FA Cup in 2008, us L2 them L1, at their place, 3-1 down with 11 minutes to go, getting absolutely battered and out of nowhere we got 3 in the last 11 minutes to win 4-3, some mental in the away end that was when Richards bent the injury time winning Free Kick in.

I don't care much for Huddersfield Town either. They luckily beat us in the play final then took Marcus Stewart away from us. Double whammy, ive had better summers tbh

Interesting to see that previously steady, sensible Plymouth have hit the panic button and given Ian Foster the boot after just 3 months.

Sometimes a perilous league position can cause a club to throw out all their principles and chase a quick fix. It will be interesting to if they turn to Red Adair Neil Warnock now they're staring down the barrel.

After that weekend, I just about feel comfortable posting in here rather than checking who's coming up with Chesterfield (I'd love it to be Alty but think it'll be Barnet).

Down has to be Neil Harris's Millwall with the rest from Yorkshire.

Coming up would be Barrow from the play-offs. Otherwise I'm happy to pass on our local family day out to MK and accept the current top 3 - County, Mansfield and Wrexham.

It would be nice to see some different names down here. Stoke would have been hilarious considering their budget but looks like they may just have enough. Would like Birmingham to come down as its local for us and not been to St Andrews before. Rotherham are already gone obviously, maybe Huddersfield as the final option but not really fussed.

Cant see past the top 3 in League 2 at the moment. Are Crawley still owned by those Crypto guys? Feel like it would be interesting to see them come up, more so as you imagine that would be one of the spots for relegation likely taken next season. In reality anyone but MK though really.

As we have effectively been down since November can I please get to choose Wednesday and Huddersfield for up here and Mansfield, Stockport, Wrexham and Barrow from league 2.

I hope we get rid of Portsmouth, Derby and obviously Barnsley will go up because we always swop places!

Wednesday because would be funny with them doing the double over us, plus hopefully they will be skint and no threat next year.
Huddersfield I don't have a problem with and wouldn't be too upset if they got out of it but I think it will be them or Plymouth and I know which one I'd rather travel to.

Isn't that normal when you beat a team going for promotion. They're hardly going to shake your hand are they?

Are you guys as bad as your Championship record suggests?! You're obviously a bit of a yo-yo club but do you think you'll still compete at the top end of L1 next season even after such a bad season?

I don't think anyone can have any idea of how we'll do next season TBH.
We have some decent players but there's likely to be a huge turnover so Richardson can put his own imprint on the club.

I'm not even sure he is capable but the Chairman seems to have got his back so we have to hope he is.
He certainly did a decent job at Wigan when they beat us into second place 2 years ago.

If we could have put out our best players this year I think we could have just about stayed up but I've never known so many injuries crop up in a season, especially to defenders.

The medical staff are blaming the training ground for a lot of the injuries and there's plans to overhaul the pitches during the break.
But there's no getting away from the fact that there has been some totally gutless performances since Christmas.

No doubt that we will lose Victor Johansson but hopefully the fee we get will cover a new keeper and 3 or 4 new players.
I'd try and keep Bramall, Blackett, Humphreys, Morrison, Odaffin, Rathbone, Lindsay, Tiehe, Clucas and Nombe.

Andre Green will be available next season and I think Eaves and Hugill should score a few in League 1 if they stay.

It won't be easy though and I would be happy to be in the top 10 come Christmas and hopefully push on. It would be nice to go to a game and enjoy it TBH.

Next season is looking like it could be a tough league, especially compared to this season.

Wrexham and Stockport are probably capable of spending big enough to do well and will look to the examples set by Orient, Stevenage and Northampton that promoted teams are more than good enough to compete in this league. Mansfield I don't know about but given what the aforementioned 3 promoted teams did this year I don't see why they can't aim for top half.

Rotherham will undoubtedly push for top 6 and I would probably expect the other two relegated championship sides to do the same.

Couple that with a really poor Derby side going up, you've got two or three of Peterborough, Barnsley and Bolton staying down who will likely be up there again.

Would also expect teams like Orient, Wigan, Lincoln/Oxford (if they don't go up) to improve further.

All in all, a really tough league one next year. This year was a real missed opportunity for a team like us to challenge the top 6

You’ve effectively got stockport, they’re as good as up after 6 points over easter.

Mansfield and wrexham basically need to match what MK do as Mansfield have 2 games in hand on MK and wrexham 1, mansfield and stockport in effect have an extra point due to much better GD to the rest.

Made more challenging by Mansfield going to MK next saturday and the last game of the season having 1st placed stockport away to 3rd placed wrexham and 2nd placed mansfield away to 5th placed barrow.

Everyone’s tripping over themselves currently so it’s anyone’s guess.

Another trip to the New York for those studying here .

Guess Rotherham will probably be in the promotion race again though .
