Just familiarising myself with the surroundings given that we're dead and buried.
1. I wouldn't bother you won'tbe there that long. Your dropping like a lead balloon.
I really really hope that Britol Rovers don't go up as, well, they're Bristol Rovers. Horrible club, horrible fans.
2. Don,t worry it will be like passing on the stairs.
Other than that it'll be good to play Exeter again but the worst thing for is I live in Burton....

As a Hartlepool fan , and assuming this concerns us next season, I would like to be in the same division with as many Northern teams as possible, I'm not sure if those of you living in areas with lots of teams around you realise how lucky you are, York and Carlisle are our closest 90 mins away both of them

I know how you feel, this season Bristol City and Swindon are the only teams within 100 miles of us

I don't know if you've been paying attention or not, but we aren't going down, just the small matter of getting out of the bottom 2 and job done!

If you do, lots of people will rightfully doff their caps to moore and say well done.

However, you've won 3 in a row and still bottom of the league, so it'll take more points yet

Looking at the fixtures, it is more than possible, Cheltenham and Tranmere have some toughies, we have 4 winnable home games, and York away, 10 -12 from them would make the tricky Newport and Luton not so important, then that leaves Carlisle away last game....Jimmy Glass has retired hasn't he?

Wow, so many people want us relegated. Don't know if that's love or not...

I think Yeovil and Colchester are already down, so if we drop, I would like to see Notts County come with us.

Then Barnet and Woking/ Eastleigh from the Conference.

On a side note, what's the largest wage budget in League Two history? I feel maybe we could break this next season... Which is all the worse when we finish 18th.

Assuming we're still at this level (v. likely) and given Colchester and Yeovil look doomed I'd like Orient and Crawley to join them, simply down to location.

From the Conference, Barnet winning the league would be handy (£££) and if Woking were to join them via the play-offs we'd be able to renew a couple of rivalries.

Barnet and Woking up from the conference please, and if Hartlepool and Carlisle go down, and Bury went up that would be lovely.

If it's Barnet, Leyton Orient and Colchester next season to go with Southend, Dagenham, Luton, Stevenage, Northampton and us it'll be a brilliant East Anglian league for us.

A little birdy told me that Barnet FC don't have a ten year lease on their ground and that is a condition of entry into the football league.

Well chaps, we're all but down. Need four points minimum from games against Sheffield United and Swindon (lols), so yeah...

Would hope to go back up at the first time of asking, but then again this season everyone expected a promotion push. Third highest (apparently) budget in League One with a wage bill of over £4,000,000, with Darius Henderson and Andrea Dossena on a combined minimum of £1,248,000 a year... Which I imagine would be a pretty decent sized budget for most clubs in this division alone.

So yeah, fun. Hi.

Wow £4m! Really?! Yes, those two players probably match our entire playing budget for this season.

I'd like you to come down, you're in the right part of the world unlike bloody Yeovil.

Anyway Orient away would be a cracking away day so please feel free to join us. Just need Doncaster and Gillingham to hammer the final 2 nails into County's coffin and at least we have a derby match again!

Yeah the bottom 4 as it stands isn't bad. Colchester and Leyton Orient represent relatively local games and even Notts County isn't too far away for us. All three would bring decent followings to the Abbey I'd imagine. Yeovil are down so rather irrelevant whether I like it or not now!

Be good if Bury and Plymouth were to join Shrewsbury and Burton. Especially if Barnet come up too, we'd have a huge south-east contingent then.

I'd be very happy if the bottom four stayed as is. We've got a trip to the West Country (sort of), Colchester which is easily accessible for me from both home and Uni, Notts County which is a great away day in Nottingham and Orient which is a nice little derby for ourselves and obviously extremely local.

I don't think it'll actually change now as I said in the L1 relegation thread, but Orient could have a lot worse a run in than Sheff Utd at home and Swindon away. They're not easily games obviously, and they're there for a reason but they're fixtures where Orient could give either of those two sides a bit of a rick.

Well neither can go up automatic and both have secured a PO spot. 4th place is Swindons, Sheff Utd are only a point above Chesterfield though. Mind you they both meet on the last day aswell!

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
I'd like to see Colchester escape and have Yeovil, Crewe, Notts C and Orient which on the whole isn't that bad, especially when at one stage was Colchester, Yeovil, Crawley and Gillingham!

Going up I'd like Barnet back so we can re-start the evil rivalry from hell that is ridiculously OTT...but fun for the forums. I'd then like Grimsby up for location, but if not Rovers as they'd bring good numbers.

I do not want Eastleigh as its everything wrong with football and while FGR fans are an ok bunch I don't want them because I remember them using every trick in book to stay in conference pushing teams out league if they could and now have become the exact same type of club as them they kept pushing to eliminate end of each season.

Can you please try a little harder to avoid relegation. For our sakes, we don't need Leyton Orient down here stuffing us 5-0 or 5-1 as though no other scorelines were possible.

And yeah £4m... shitting hell! I think most clubs in this division have an entire wage bill lower than what you're paying Henderson and Dossena.

What kind of budget would you have next season would you think?

Can reply properly to this later in the week. We had a 'Fans Forum' last Thursday, supporter representatives attending a meeting with the CEO with questions, this ought to be published before the weekend, one of the questions was this.

However I would be surprised if it altered significantly. From my understanding we essentially had a blank cheque and signed who we wanted regardless of the cost. This resulted in some crazy silly situations, most exemplified by Darius Henderson on a 3 year contract at 32 on between £10,000 - £12,000 a week depending on who you believe. Jobi McAnuff and Jay Simpson also have silly contracts, reportedly £6,000 - £8,000 a week. Other massive earners/ flops Gianvito Plasmati and Andrea Dossena are out of contract at the end of the season, but the three mentioned prior are all contracted and I don't see anyone being able to take them off of us. Although all three should absolutely murder this division... But we thought that about League One. Anyway, back to the point, those three combined are on a minimum of around £1,150,000 per year.

Then add players who have signed / had new contracts since Becchetti took over who are contracted to next season: Adam Legzdins, Gary Woods (two awful goalkeepers), Shane Lowry (awful defender), Bradley Pritchard (joke of a player), and Dean Cox (would absolutely kill this league, should be in the Championship, may well get a move if we go down) that's probably around another £1,000,000 in wage commitments.

From the Hearn era, Clarke, Baudry, Vincelot and James (All four were integral to us reaching the play offs last season although Clarke seems to have lost it this season, the later three should all be insanely good at this level - they were insanely good in League One last season afterall. Baudry has been immense since being recalled, Vincelot is massively missed with injury, James missed most of the season with a broken leg), presuming they're all on £1,500 - £2,000 that's another £300,000 minimum committed to the wage pot.

Overall under contracted players we're probably looking at around £2,500,000 already committed to next seasons budget.

Then we look at the players out of contract, I can see Sawyer, Cuthbert, Bartley and Dagnall being offered deals. Without question most of L1 will be tracking Cuthbert and Dagnall, probably be offered around £3,000 each to stay at a guess. Maybe Sawyer and Bartley half of that. Chuck on another £500,000 for that, so now we're at £3,000,000.

Then factor in (granted I'm basing these needs on a League One promotion push) we will need:

1 x gk, 1 x cb, 1 x rb, 1 x lb, 1 x cm, 1 x rm, 1 x st, that's another 7 players - presuming we can't shift any of the contracted guys. Call that another £1,000,000 (over estimation, but I've been using the lower wages for everyone else so a bit higher is allowed), we've hit £4,000,000 again...

This is presuming that Becchetti doesn't say fuck it and withdraw funding. Then we'd be royally screwed :D

If we are still here (which we will be) then as many northern sides as possible. Crewe, Port Vale and Notts Co ideally.

Jesus christ. If that's the case I take it you'll be expecting to walk it? Not sure who has the highest budget this year. Probably Bury? But last year it was Fleetwood and that was only about 2.5 million.
