After a return to form against a poor Oldham side we welcome a bunch of cobblers to the CG on Tuesday.

I have plenty of previous with this lot so not my favourites.

Goddard is a must start, hopefully Murray is fit and we get back to harrying the opposition - something missing in our 3 recent defeats. This really is a piss poor league and anyone can go on a run of wins or defeats.

In the olden days (60's), I seem to remember that this used to be a fixture with a bit of 'tension' between us?
Last four meetings have resulted in Swindon wins.
My first time visiting the County Ground for a while, looking forward to it...

Oldham on Saturday was probably the best team we could have played to put our run of defeats behind us. Northampton will be a tough game and Alex Revell is bound to score so we'll need 2 to win.

Think we will lose this one. Just got a bad feeling. At home I would fancy us to beat anyone but away from home this season I just think we won't get too many points. Hopefully Page keeps the same side from Saturdays win.

Can see us getting a battling draw from this one. We seem to set up a lot more defensively and direct away from home. Swindon seem to want to keep it on the deck, hopefully we can physically bully them a bit.

Finish work at 4 tomorrow so am heading down. Hopefully it won't be another defensive away performance, but I'm 99% sure it will. That'll get tiring pretty quickly and I've previously said after Oldham I may give up going to away games. This hasn't happened though as there's always a reason to go somewhere.

 I am in that bottom photo that was a great away day nothing like a last minute winner with a sold out away end I think it was New Year's Eve as well

It was. Was on my way to Southampton for NYE, last I'd heard Risser was sent off at 1-1 and didn't get to check the final score until just after 5. Made the night out a whole lot better.

As for tomorrow I'll go 1-1. Obika early, Revell equaliser.

I was also there. Fabulous game, especially the last minute!

I am in the very background of the top photo, can't make me out though...
Despite the result, an excellently emotional celebration...which brought a smile..

Fair play, can't say I'd be anything other than seething if an opposing manager ran onto The County Ground pitch like that!

At the time this was me! Weaving around our players etc to run into the away end was not something I wanted to see. That being said now I think about it and laugh and I know if Page does it would endear him to me far more.

It's why I'd have him back in a heartbeat - despite his baggage. The passion he brings to the entire club is phenomenal.

But you want to taint the good memories of his previous spell? He had a massive budget at the time if I remember when he was with you before.

Suppose it's always easier to look back and smile especially now you're back in League 1!

I absolutely loved Di Canio and the feel good factor he brought to the club. He would have got us into The Championship the season he left. I'm sure of it. Losing Matt Ritchie, PDC and our minted owner in the same month was crushing.

Would I have him back? No. Signed player after player often on the back of 1 good performance against us. Will always need an open cheque book to succeed.

Will remember him fondly but never again.

This ref is fucking horrific. Everything is going to Swindon and it's getting more and more blatant. However, we are playing the ball in the right areas and look dangerous on the counter with snappy passing. Swindon look a bit laboured but when they finally get it forward they look useful.

Rubbish. Williams needs replacing for me now. 3 home defeats on the bounce. Not good enough.

Nice to see 2 ex Watford old boys scoring and another managing to maintain Northampton's fine form.

Bored of watching us now. Trying to play 'total football' is all well and good at the top level but we are so easy to play against. Tempo is slow, atmosphere pathetic and crowds dropping.

Things have to change or it's going to get ugly.

People will just stop going - as fans of every club do when they are shite.

There's only one thing wrong and that's Williams. He's way out of his depth. He treats the first team as if they were a youth team where results don't matter.

Style over substance.
