You use 1FF?

I see you on OTIB often as well, you must be a busy man with football forums ;)

I have over 2000 posts on 1FF since signing up in 2010.

I've got 2000+ posts on OTIB too, but I don't post on it so much nowadays. The majority of my posts on there are from when I signed up when I was about 15 (2009ish) and I used to post a load of rubbish (not much has changed!), but I guess that made me fit right in with the rest of the forum. ;)

The majority of OTIB are 15 year olds, or at least post like them.

No. The core community is here, and the majority would stay here.

If TFF magically reopened, it'd be akin to a ghost town now.

I really hope that the championship forum here gets a few more members and livens up. Really want to avoid people going back to http://www.onefootballforum.co.uk... It run by a bunch of pr$cks quite frankly.

I'd go wherever the community goes. Apart from a couple of nice features (thread notifications especially) and the lack of staff with their heads a bit too far up their own arses, 1FF is pretty much the same as TFF to me. Great posters, that's the most important thing.

I would probably stay here, all my favourite posters are here. Also I kind of missed the whole TFF closing down, it just wasn't there anymore when I went to check it don't suppose anyone could catch me up on what actually happened to it?

Nah, think most would stay here which would obviously be the main reason for staying but this one is more user friendly. Takes the simplicity of TFF and adds a few nice little features like notifications, likes that mean something (although I personally think scumarmy likes should not be counted, feel like a whore when I get one from him) and the shoutbox even though I dont use it that much.

Oh, if scumarmy is reading, MKDons.

You won't be able to anyway because you rather pathetically banned yourself.

Yeah exactly. The community is here and so this is where I wanted to come. A forum is only as good as it's members.

Remember when they closed the League 1 forum because they got all worried that there'd be legal trouble after Bury fans mentioned that Mozika shagged Alan Knill's daughter (allegedly). Wusses.

Never used the old site, but enjoy this one greatly. Hopefully the championship section will be lively if we do go up. I do also use http://www.onefootballforum.co.uk its alright league 1 section nowhere near as good as the championship section on there, mostly just use it for the mafia sub forum. I'll continue to use both sites though as this has better elements which 1FF.net lacks.

If TFF reopened I'd grab a bunch of shit like my WM marathon and maybe some TFF Wars stuff and then leave it as it is. It's weird to think that if they'd stuck to their word, we'd still be on there for it's last 3 weeks now...

I mean, I won't lie, as other have said if it were to reopened and everybody else were to go back, I'd follow, sure. But I don't see why they would? This forum has a lot of little things like alerts and the like system that make it a step forward.

About the only thing I really miss now is the fact that if I see spam I now have to just report it instead of being able to get rid of it myself.

There's some warm and fuzzy responses in here guys, much appreciated.

Just glad most people seem to like the site in general. Obviously it's my own website but I do prefer the close knit community thing in here and I also prefer the software we run on, the little things you can do slightly different to TFF are definetely worthwhile. I used to love TFF, it was a great website, but I'm really pleased we made it across here.

TTOCS - I agree, that's our next plan of action. See if we can start expanding certains areas of the board. I use http://www.onefootballforum.co.uk quite frequently, but I tend to find that it's not as busy as it should be with over 35,000 members. Even though we are relatively small at the moment, I reckon you would struggle to find a community this small on the net that produces so many posts per day.

Ironically, I'd say we are only running at about 25% of what I want the site to be eventually, but I won't spoil that until it comes along.

Being able to change thread titles is a massive win!

I do miss TFF, I use Firefox and when you open a new tab it shows thumbnails of commonly visited sites, one of which is still TFF, and when I see it I think 'aww'. It was a shame it went but the creators of this site have to be congratulated at how quickly and extensively they were able to get the message out that they'd been working on this other site when TFF disappeared. Within days it was almost as if TFF had just rebranded.

Though there are still things I miss, not everyone has made it across to the new site and some quality history was lost, I think if we're talking about a hypothetical scenario where TFF popped back up tomorrow; it wouldn't be the same, it would have lost its community. This site is as close to what TFF used to be as is ever going to exist and from the sounds of things will continue to take the baton it picked up from TFF to new and better places while being backed by the vast majority of the community that made TFF such a great site in the first place.

I was in the same boat. I took a two week holiday, I did visit TFF while on holiday occasionally, but was travelling on the day it closed down. I got home, decided to check what people had to say on our win against Wimbledon and it wasn't there, so I went to the Wimbledon fans forum and they were all saying to go to this place.

I didn't even know it was closing, until one day it was gone. Then I didn't even know of this site until I just stumbled across it looking for a new football forum so was pleased to see a lot of old posters on here.

WUP Guestbook? I'm surprise that you found any useful info on there, it's not exactly user-friendly.

I do dip into the chat areas here more than I did in the old forum, and Scummy seems to have stopped posting in every AFC Wimbledon related thread in the L2 section, which is a bonus.

Keep up the good work Saddlerad et al.

The simple answer is no because of how the last one ended.

Reality is the Mods on there stuck 2 fingers up at the posters and told us all to f*ck off.

This forum just needs continuous building, to be honest due to thankfully keeping the posters its a lot busier than a new forum should be.

The way the closure was handled was appalling and upsetting as someone who put a lot of effort into that place. Anyway, the less said the better on that one.

Very happy to help run this place and make it as good as we can. Obviously we'd love to increase the user base, and happily it ticks upwards as time does on. We have a decent core of users some of whom were here before TFF went pop and many of whom moved across - which is great.

No it's hilarious how badly designed it is. Less a forum, more a sort of communal Tumblr with added animated gifs. One of the gems of the Internet. But there was someone, I recognised from TFF, Wombletom maybe, possibly even yourself, posting that TFF had gone down, and another familiar name saying go to this site, otherwise I'd never have found it. Dave doesn't post on our forum, if HG does then it's under a different name, there's a couple of others but I started the thread in our forum to make sure anyone who was unaware knew about this site, actually got us a few new posters so there are now more Carlisle posters on here than there were on the old site :D

Both Raging Womble and Tommy posted links on WUP although Tommy's username is completely different on there. It took a bit longer to trawl through my numerous posts to see if I posted a link - I didn't.
