    Millwall vs Derby County

Did the exact same thing we did against boro — our men behind the ball instead of going for the killer third and nearly paid for it again. Derby were a shambles defensively and we should have pummelled them. We’re in for a rude awakening if Harris thinks that’s the way to go this season.

    Millwall vs Derby County

This probably should be three or four, but we’ve wasted a few openings. Derby don’t look comfortable playing this system at all; I can only assume Lampard has never watched us? Suicidal to set that up that way against us — can’t tell if it’s arrogance or incompetence.

Great engine on him. Has suffered from lack of match time since we were promoted: delighted he’s going to get minutes at a good league one club because there’s a real game player in there.

    European Union Referendum

I voted remain but felt, and still feel, ambivalent about the EU for a number of reasons. I think the current negotiations are putting us on the road to disaster, but I also feel uneasy that it’s become a bit of fetish for weirdo lovers of liberal technocracy. I don’t want a part of any...

    Derby Vs Leeds

Tbf, Reading could and should have been three up at half time last week against them. I'm not usually confident against sides in this league, but I think we'll beat Derby comfortably next week. Lampard doesn't seem to have figured out the basics yet.

    Villa v Wigan

Oof, welcome back to the Championship Wigan.

    Blackburn Rovers vs Millwall

0-0, fair result. Archer kept us in the 2nd half. Decent point.

    Blackburn Rovers vs Millwall

We've hit the woodwork twice and missed a sitter, so we can expect to be beaten by a single goal in the second half. Same story as last season, IMO. If we had a striker who could finish we'd be laughing -- as it is, we'll maybe sneak top half if we avoid injuries and suspensions.

    Table predictions

Can't be bothered to do a full table, but here's my hashtag reckon: Liverpool to win the league: upwards momentum, very strong all over the park, plus there are rarely ever consecutive title winners. Palace to finish top half: because they're fucking Palace and literally nothing bad ever...

    Current Squads

You have fourteen more players than us, and this is before we even include u-21 players. This league is nuts.

    Current Squads

Didn't lose anyone in the end, but neither did we strengthen the squad in any meaningful way. Still desperately in need of a striker -- I'd imagine we'll bring someone in on loan. So we've essentially stood still, but that is something of a success for a club of our resources in this division...

Apparently rejected a last minute combined bid from Middlesbrough for George Saville and Jed Wallace. Not sure what they were up to unless they're trying to unsettle those players for a second bid in January? No way we were letting them go on deadline day.

    European Union Referendum

Somewhere between 900k-2m expats living in the EU. I think even if they all voted, and crucially voted remain, the vote would still come up short -- certainly not enough to settle the matter, anyway. I'd also bet a pretty penny on most of the 1.3m British expats in Australia either not caring...

T Think this looks accurate. Of the also-rans of last season, think Brentford will make the play-offs. Sheffield United will challenge again too imo

Jose Mourinho to replace LVG as Man U manager?

Your owner built his fortune trading commodities. You're literally sponsored by Standard Chartered. You're as corporate and faceless as any of the other awful PLCs in English football.

Skalak deal would be permanent and apparently break our record fee (which, to be fair, is only £800k, but has stood for THIRTY years). What a time to be alive.
