Luton will have a cracking player in Ryan Colclough now he's sorted his off-field antics out since his move to Wigan.

I really thought he'd end up in prison the way he was going, especially after the taser incident. But having a kid and the move to Wigan really has settled him down good and proper. Hopefully he does well for Luton too.

All quiet on that one today; hopefully it will be done tomorrow, but the loan window is open until the 31 Aug in any case with “a view” to a permanent signing. That loophole is back like the old days.
If there is an issue it will be his wage demands, apparently that’s been holding up any move for him and Devante Cole. We’ve been trying to sign a winger (Jordan Graham) on loan for a while and it was supposed to go through two weeks ago but has stalled because a move for Colclough fell through.

If it’s a permanent move Crewe will get a sell on fee.

Rumour he’s off to Pompey.

Think they were trying to sign both him and Devante Cole before, but then went a bit quiet. Would be a bit of a kick in the teeth if that were the case; but that said it seems they have signed David Wheeler in a similar role.

Signed Jordan Williams from Huddersfield. Another one for the future like Callum Styles. Doubt we'll be bringing any significant signings in now. Main focus will be fending off interest in Tom Bradshaw.

I think I remember that...
Don’t you just wish for once that you were not treated like a stepping stone and players came to your club because they thought they could progress up the leagues with your club. They don’t see it as a long term plan. If you’re chairman was deadly serious he would say for one season right your staying. Marriott would then go for 15m in the league above. So yes whoopee doo that your club generates lots of money but you are not a market stall you are a football club

Where has the rumour about him joining Luton even come from? I can see people talking about it on Outlaws and Twitter but I can't find where it's actually originated from.

Decent player but would be a completely unnecessary signing for us right now so not overly bothered if it's true or not (unless we can get shot of Jervis but I don't see that happening).

Looks like we're still trying for Chaplin.

Not heard anything. We've just signed a winger - David Wheeler on loan, but it wouldn't surprise me if we're after Colclough too. Maybe Jackett wants to move Jamal Lowe into more of a central striker role. If this happened it would definitely breathe life back into the Chaplin to Coventry deal.

Norburn having a medical at the training ground. This will be a class signing. All we need is a striker who can score and there’s no reason as to why we can’t finish top 6.

Only 75k for Bakayoko.

Considering the money we have made over the past 6 months, that is (weirdly) not too much for us.
Not quite sure on that - all the reading is saying 150-200k

We're apparently in for Shrewsbury's Stefan Payne.

DC confirmed we're trying to get in 2 strikers today and perhaps a loanee after the window closes

I’m told the bid that we’ve accepted is 275k for Payne. We’d be silly not to accept that amount.

The fan base is split on him, yes he scores goals, but he can’t hold the ball up and for a big guy, he somehow wins very few headers. Personally I feel it’s no great loss. But we do need to sign a striker by 5pm to replace him.

Has Anthony O'Connor let him out of his pocket now then?

Don’t think we will make any signings today. As long as we don’t lose Holmes or Ojo, that’s the main goal today.

Good to know, cheers.

Sounds like a player "that will do" for the time being then. Although, 14 goals is hard to ignore.

Currently we only have 2 strikers and 1 of them is barely a striker so it's fair to say we're absolutely desperate

I believe we are the same, no incoming unless a daft bid comes in for any of the current team

Bids from the Premier League coming in for Tom Bayliss. The pricks always leave it until deadline day.

We need another striker and a winger, doesn't look like anyone coming in on perm today so to the loan market we go.

Our club stopped doing them after the shit they got on Twitter, much better now.
I'm jealous.

At least this one was posted about 2 minutes after the teaser (which also makes you think, whats the point?) - normally we get a crappy post on facebook saying - expect a signing within the hour and then a rubbish image:

"Stay Tuned" "Player Announcement" "Coming Soon"

Such a power-play. "We know something that you don't so we're going to make you wait for no reason."

These people have watched too much X Factor - "... and the winner is....(wait 3 minutes to see which sad sack is about to be dumped by Cowell in a year's time).... Jamie Nomark!"
