Stickied League One Away Support Thread 2024/25

Can't blame them, there's very few clubs in this division can afford to lose money on ticket allocations.

Stickied League One Away Support Thread 2024/25

Taken from RUFC official Twitter :- Having sold out our initial allocation, we have requested a further 300 and final tickets for this weekend's trip to Mansfield taking our total to 1,698.

Stickied League One Away Support Thread 2024/25

It's no longer assured that we will sell out at local away matches. You're talking about a team that's won 2 away league games in two years. I'm going to Lincoln but haven't been away since we played Blackburn away on last New Years Day and me and my son used to do 12-15 away games a season...

Stickied League One Away Support Thread 2024/25

Thanks for the reply, hopefully we don't sell out because I'm not sitting on the front row. I asked to sit near the back but the lady in our club shop said they have to sell them in the order that Lincoln sent them.. That means we have either sold a lot or not many at all.

Just got our away tickets for Lincoln and we are in Stacey West Block 5. Imps fans, do the stewards let you sit anywhere or do they enforce that you sit on the seat allocated on the ticket? Also is Row A at the back of the stand or the front row?

I put the top 6 league positions from 74-75 season in from another website but it all went to cock so I edited it out.

Interesting season too, bet you'd settle for being top of the league

    20th/21st/23rd December fixtures

We played JCH, Sam Nombe, Malik Wilks and Andre Green up front against Northampton but he might drop Green to the bench as it was his first start for 14 months. Raggett will be missing and Humphreys is now well down the pecking order so he might go again with Odoffin at CB or bring back McCart...

Is it time for a 'Managerial Merry go round' thread?

Absolutely right, must try harder. Having said that, hopefully Hugill and Humphreys will be gone in January and I won't have to worry about them in future. Nice to see you keeping an interest in my posts. Merry Christmas.

Is it time for a 'Managerial Merry go round' thread?

I suppose it sounds harsh but when a club gets used to losing it's hard to recover a winning mentality. He signed a load of old injury prone players like Grant Hall, Lee Peltier, Shaun Morrison, Cafu, Sam Clucas, all excellent Championship players in their day but always breaking down and...

Is it time for a 'Managerial Merry go round' thread?

Not surprised TBH. His terrible signings and dismal football set us back years. All the years of respect in the club built by Paul Warne were lost in just over a year. It's taking a long time to get over him and we are way off the Warne years at present.

    Saturday 14 December fixtures

A few signs of improvement at last as injured players return to the team. Andre Green scored in his first start since last October and Wilkes and JCH seemed to be on the same wavelength for once, though Sam Nombe was strangely subdued after providing a goal for JCH. Zac Jules is looking like...

    Saturday 14 December fixtures

I'm afraid the said immanent dismissal of your hero may no longer be on the cards. SE was summoned to long meeting held by the Chairman, where he basically told SE that he was getting too soft in his old age. He told him to reset, come back into work the next day and be the bastard he used to...

    Saturday 14 December fixtures

Other than the winning goal and a decent showing at Bradford City the other week, it's hard to comment on his progress as he has been out injured most of the season. He's had a few sub appearances lately and full games in the Virtue Trophy or whatever it's called this week. However he came off...

    Tues 3rd/Weds 4th December fixtures

Lincoln were unlucky to not get a point last but neither side looked like troubling the top six. We finally had a full squad to choose from but looked completely out of confidence and our play had little pattern. Yes we worked harder than in recent games so that's a plus but it's hard to see...

    17th and 19th October Fixtures

The owner, Ken Booth wanted to charge the new Chairman a rent that was way above what he was willing to pay so the last ever game at Millmoor on 3rd May 2008 against Barnet. It was a 1 0 win which I sadly missed because I was away on holiday. If I had known, I would have driven back but no-one...

Makes me think of Ronnie Moore, Rodney Fern, Tony Towner, Bobby Williamson, and Dave Watson but more importantly - hot pork pies with runny jelly scalding your mouth, Bovril and tomato sausage rolls.

Millmoor was a bit of a dump but at least the away fans had a roof over their heads in the Railway End and you could make a lot of noise in there. The open toilets were a special treat. I've still got a scar on my arm from climbing over the barb wire fence when I was a kid and didn't have...

It's better than most but can be a bit steep if you've had a few. It's hard to believe it's now 12 years old.

    17th and 19th October Fixtures

It's always nice to hear a positive post from away supporters, thank you for taking the time to say so. Obviously we will have our share of knobheads like most clubs but in general away fans are greeted with respect and are made to feel welcome. There are some "home only" pubs it pays to avoid...
