Just a little piece of advice on those picking early doors...Have a look at the changes/transfers pre season
Barnsley have lost there Manager, keeper and Best player since the play-offs
We have lost the best keeper and rwb in the league replaced them with quality but doubt they will be as good as those two......Portsmouth and Oxford have done some good business, and lower down Bristol Rovers and Fleetwood like wise. Those that come down Blackpool will be decent the other 2 Basket case clubs
Those that came up will do well to stay up. Derby the bookies favs are another re-build and it will be nearer Christmas when they get going.
So all in all i have Portsmouth and Blackpool as the early picks but that can change if a decent team brings in 2/3
decent signings

I'd say our business is better than Bristol Rovers and Fleetwood.

Hold up a minute, didn't you predict Barnsley to go up a few weeks after the season ended?

every one of them is telling you to fuck off back to the pop and crisp league

Exactly!

It really is sad for a Grimsby fan to be talking shite to people up here in the L1 forum.

He needs to do one the loser.

The relegation battle should be incredibly tense once again. Half the league look like they could be in the free-for-all scrap at the bottom.

Not sure I'll bother making any predictions until teams are all abit more organised and settled with recruitment.

You predicted them to finish in the top six after the Play off’s.
Just looked at the search [Barnsley] Congratulated them on beating us in the play-offs. I dont mention Barnsley and where they will end up this season in any post?????

Wrong person this time fella

Going to call it now the three teams defeated in this years play offs......Then Reading, Blackpool and Derby will make the top 6 next season.....Of course you can get a Portsmouth to kick on, but i honestly cannot see any one else being involved

Obviously next season not 24/25

What about this one fella?
That prediction already looks miles off it.

Always makes me laugh when people get het up about where other people predict their team to finish in these things.

I'm more concerned if people aren't putting Cheltenham in the bottom 4.

I think this season is really hard to predict. It seems much more of an even playing field compared to previous seasons. From the relegated teams, 2 are basket cases. I think this year could see a real surprise with regards to who makes the play offs.

IMO the top two will be Derby and Blackpool but there's still so many transfers to be done, so we shall see.

Its looking more level certainly, I am pleased with our business so far, we went into this summer with worries after two poor transfer windows and the form we were in but the four we signed all seem to be improvements and the keeper issue is fully resolved and height issues which saw us easily bullied.

Strike force will be key as we only have Ellis Harrison at the moment and need to replay Taylor, Proctor, Butterworth and Wilson, as long as we get that bit right we should be comfortably away from trouble this season.

Feel good factor seems to be coming back, pitch is looking good with the investment and the new home end (away end now the home end) has sold well... plus we are getting a swanky massive big screen score board in the corner stand (next to the away end as it now will be) and a fans forum where Flickers faced his critics and so far in fairness has backed it up.

Its too early to tell but Carlisle look like they are having our recruitment difficulties last season post play offs mixed in with FGR's losing of some big players so they may struggle, Exeter seem to be losing big players and may be dark horses to struggle (but they do pull quality from their academy in fairness).

Shrewsbury have lost some good players and haven't signed much of note yet and seem to go with a small squad so might be a tougher season, their manager is a gamble as well.

Portsmouth have recruited well, Wigan might do better now they've been taken over and Reading is anyone's guess!

Barnsley could be an interesting one, play off hang over, losing their manager and may lose some players to him?

We will know more in another month and it could all change.

Think this was early May...Not sure about Reading they could win the league or get relegated
Barnsley will not be as strong as last season but still expect them to be top 10
Derby, Portsmouth, Bolton, Blackpool and Posh are others who wil be going for top 6 but things will change between now and the beginning of the season

I've not done a 24 yet, but I genuinely believe Exeter will drop this season.

I have no basis for this other than I don't rate Caldwell as a manager
