Yet no leg was broken, but hey let's not let the facts stop your bullsh1t

Most tackles like that won’t break anyone’s leg or even injure them. But occasionally one will. Football’s options are either they’re all bad or they’re not, we can’t be like ‘yeeees great tackle’ when the guy just happens to get back up, and be like ‘oh no how has this happened’ on the odd occasion it causes a serious injury.

Got to agree. "Fair strong tackle" and all that it was on Tuesday. Absolute leg breaker of a challenge it was, not seen today to judge though.
I thought it was a really bad post from Jacob in the first place, and genuinely can't see why you agree. You're comparing a tackle that received a red card, calling it a leg breaker... (And you've got better eyes than me by the way if you can see a red card, leg breaking infringement in that tackle based on the footage we have in the highlights... It was stupid, but stupid doesn't make it a red, he wins the ball, comes away with the ball, it was one footed... Strong yes, but I saw no obvious straight red/leg breaking offense, unless there's some other footage that I've not seen?) ... To a tackle that we haven't seen yet that literally put a man in hospital, and by the way the guy didn't even receive a booking. I don't even know what the point is of the argument, that Kabby somehow deserved it because King got sent off the week before? It makes zero sense to me

I made no comment on the tackle on Tshimanga because I haven’t seen it. My point was just that ODL was (probably understandably in the heat of the moment tbf) having a right go at Weymouth for a challenge that’s broken someone’s leg, approximately four days after basically bigging up (‘such a satisfying tackle’ or something) a challenge that IMO could easily have had the same outcome but for some blind luck.

And obviously Tshimanga doesn’t deserve it. No one does.

If something similar to that King tackle has broken Tshimanga's leg today, that would be fine according to your lot. That's your double standards, not ours, I've not seen the tackle from today though.

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
I’ve seen much worse sides here this season, I always thought you had a goal in you too but thankfully for us it came way too late to change anything.
We were good today but without being amazing as we played really well in patches but with quite a few lulls in between and as soon as it went to 3-0 pretty much nothing happened after that until your late goal.
Thanks for that, your early-ish goal probably made the game watchable. 0-0 at h.t. and the shutters would have come down. Interesting that we apparently went for it in the first 10.
Dover up next. Oh joy..

I said King’s tackle was a red. Now I’m sad at todays injury and equaliser. Can I have some sympathy please?

Any slide tackle could have that outcome if there's some horrible luck involved. That's why we have rules in the game though, and whilst I'm willing to be proved wrong, I didn't see much in the footage of the King red that made it an 'absolute leg breaker'. Even the great anti Chesterfield Stocky said it probably wasn't a straight red. I'm not even sure why bring it up in the first place though in the context of Tshimanga having his season finished, at the very least. Unless you just want to get one up over ODL? Which is your perogative I suppose, but you're probably better than that

Third game in a row we've scored in injury time, only issue is it's also the second game in a row we've been 3 down at the time.

Grimsby were by far the better team and deserved the win, despite the first goal being clearly offside. We really are lacking leaders in the team at the moment and the new loanee keeper had a howler today. Glad we've got 10 days off to regroup before a huge home game against Dover

I think we need to see the tackle today before jumping to conclusions about whether it was a red etc...
I have seen innocuous looking tackles cause horrible injuries...
Maybe this was one of those unfortunate happenings, hence no card issued by the referee?

It would be horribly unfortunate, but if it was ultimately just bad luck, then it would be awfully sad but it is what it is. I'm still not really sure what the point of the comparison is though? Why are we even talking about the King red card? Nobody has even seen the footage of the Tshimanga tackle yet, so what are you doing? Honestly don't get it.

Yes you may Cashis.

For all the BEEF I do genuinely hope that your board hadn’t spent some of what they thought was a huge fee coming this summer on Cook.

Not gonna blame the ref as I watched the Manx v Southampton match where VAR is in operation. Maguires stamp on Broja apparently is fine . Looks like we're back to the 70s .

Fingers crossed that's not the case, we're lucky enough to have had income from other sources recently so shouldn't have needed to borrow ahead to get a manager in. We will likely to go looking for a replacement for Kabby now too!

I think we've done you enough favours this week! has something gone off there by the way, didn't he bag a few goals last season?

20 last season but that's with a big forward alongside him, namely Richie Bennett; he's not had much of a look-in since we've signed Madden & Quigley, and the few times he has come on he's tended to look terribly poor. Today he was much sharper tbf

Well we've got 2 big forwards if that's what he needs... Neither any good right now like, but still. Honestly, not sure what Cook will want to do. He's more likely to go sign a no.10 style player if anyone, as his preferred formation is very much 4231. Khan and Mandeville can fill 2 of the '3' but then the others are injured long term, so I wouldn't be surprised if he looks there... We've needed one since Clarke got crocked again to be fair.

Thought we were well worth that win. 1st half dominated, Woking didn't look like they knew a football match was even going on. Credit to their manager though, two subs at half time, completely changed their set up and they looked a different team.
They scored a looped deflection and get a penalty (no idea if it was or wasn't I was down the other end of the side terrace) but otherwise didn't actually create any real clear chances just had us under pressure, I wondered if the football gods had not been appeased by Southend. Then Maher changed our formation, more to match up with Woking and after this I thought again we looked the better side and Cardwell headed in the winner.

Was a hell of a lot of police at the game, more than I've seen at other league games, I know we've got more wankers than most following us about but were they seriously expecting trouble at Woking?

Oh, and thanks to BT Sport I got to go to Sheerwater 0-8 Jersey before hand, all in all a pretty decent football day out.
