Another win. That shite start to the season seems a distant memory.

I thought Colchester were really good today and caused us a lot of problems, but we deserved the win. We missed some easy chances (as we do every week).

We really look like a team at the moment. A far cry from the relegation standard shit we saw a few weeks ago. Excellent turn around.

Big game at Oldham on Tuesday, they dicked us in the cup so will be looking to do so again, but we’re better now than we were again. It will certainly be more competitive.

Good win and performance against Colchester. For the majority of the game we were the better team and in all fairness Colchester earned their goals during a spell either side of half time during which they were a very good team. The third goal was deserved and we'll enjoy just being on good form.

We're starting to look like a decent team, there are a few issues still though. We let the opponents have a lot of the ball and we take a hell of a lot of chances without scoring a lot. Can't see us blowing anyone away because we'd have to create an insane amount of chances to score more than 3, if we put away simple chances we'd be thrashing everyone already.

All in all, a good afternoon for us.

Well if we score the sitters today we score 5. I can see us hammering worse teams than Colchester if we play like we did in that first half.

That was one of the best Cambridge performances I've seen, certainly the best for 3 or 4 years at least, absolutely magnificent.

Scunthorpe were atrocious though, it must be said.

Think that's what we need to be doing against Oldham to send a message about promotion credentials. I would take three points in any form it comes but I'll up my expectations if we get a good win.

0-0 at Crawley.

Morecambe look the slightly better side but not a lot in it. I would say this could finish 1-0 either way.

Casey

Well, obviously my account got hacked...

I honestly didn't see that coming but could have been very different. I honestly thought our keeper was off. Outside the box but he pulled the attacker down....then the lino flags for offside!

Watters changed it for us. Came on for a Nadesan at the start of the second half and suddenly we looked to have an attack. Not only the two goals he scored (one a gift) but chasing, holding the ball and generally being a nuisance.

4-0 and we hit the post and could have had a couple more. Morecambe looked quite good until they went behind. Then they collapsed!

What a way to sum up our season.

We were looking okay, a Cambridge player slips over and they get a free kick. Cross and a penalty. 1-0.

Mullin then goes down after our CB misses him and they get another penalty. 2-0.

Will end about 6-0 with 6 penalties anytime we go near them

I’d settle for a narrow 1-0 win. The psychological side of that 3-0 defeat might still be there for both teams. I think we’ll hammer someone if we play like that, but I don’t think it’ll be on Tuesday.

As thrilled as I am that we've won 3 in a row now and against another apparent good team, I just hope that we can finish them off and not have to just be 1 goal ahead in the last few minutes. o_O

I suppose it's the Carlisle way!

Listened on BBC Essex and thought it came across as our worst display of the season so far - and last week was bad enough.

All in all it's been a really poor start to the season.

No idea where that performance came from after Monday night, but we were superb today, albeit Mansfield were appaling. Should've scored another 3 or 4 because 1-3 flattered them really.

Os one up, lovely goal to be fair, harsh on grimsby who seemed to be getting slightly on top, we always concede though so could be anything to come

Yeah bit of a sucker punch that as we came out the blocks looking really up for it and we still do to their credit.

Deserved to lose to Newport. Good run of fixtures to come so can hopefully kick on against Orient midweek.

Have to say though Newport spend a shit ton of their time going down soft and wasting time. Shithouse tactics but they do it very well. They definitely should have scored more than once as well.

Got what we deserved, Nothing.

I’ll take appalling - but we should have had three goals ourself! Loads to work on for Bradford, even more for Mansfield.

Our commentators were quite complementary of you. Bigging you up before the game as one of the teams to beat and James Phillips' personal tip for the title, when you did play well today you looked very good and they made sure to acknowledge that.

We started the game so strongly it didn’t really allow Colchester to play. We penned them in, suffocated them, as we did to barrow in the first half of the previous home game. When they finally did get out they looked really dangerous and at 2-2 I thought they would go on and win, but credit to our players they found another gear and deserved the 3 points. Could have been more in the end.

Not a game that will live in the memory. Oh well.
Poor game Clarke again changed a winning team for no reason and set up far more negative in selection than in recent weeks mistake for me at home.

We finally have a team that looks like we can do something and we go can't see them. Typical.

Men vs boys today. It could have been 10. Big games coming up against Port Vale and Bolton. We had the luxury of resting Hoolahan today.

Lost 1-0 to Forest Green. They were the better side first half, had control of the ball for long spells but rarely looked like scoring. They hit us on the break, after a poor free kick, for me Arthur Read has to cut the counter dead, take a yellow, he didn't and the attack progressed, Collins had options left and right, picked out Young who bent it passed Cumming to make it 1-0. Only other chance of note was Collins hit the post when it looked easier to score, good work from Matt to pressure the keeper and keep the attack alive.

Second half we were better but we just created nothing, had the ball in dangerous areas but just couldn't fashion anything of note. Forest Green had the only chances of note, a deflected shot from range well saved by Cumming and an another effort from Collins (?) that hit the post when he looked to have a tap in.

My general feeling this season has been that it's better than last year but being better than last season doesn't really count for much. Hoping for improvements vs Newport and Orient over the next two, will give us a better idea as to whether we've actually improved.

Hardly any chances, like our last two games with Boro, only difference is today we got a goal from one of our very few decent efforts. Stevenage look solid and well organised so have probably improved this year (though tbf they were solid against us in both games last year too).

Both sides had decent shouts for pens first half and Reid got lucky in the second not to be sent off for a second yellow for that lunge on March after the ref forgot to book him earlier for a blatant professional foul.

Good goal by Young and Collins hit the post twice, other then that not much happened neither keeper had a proper save to make.

Decent half from us that. Great to see heads didn't drop after conceding. Everyone playing well but George Williams in particular is having a blinder.
