Not fastest finger first tonight but it is a rip off (but it's hard to come up with your own ideas y'know). There will be a time limit within PMs once teams ask for each game to start, however.

Secondly, due to the tight nature of the turnaround, please get together in your teams and decide on some possible GOLFING CHOICES for the BMW Championship starting tomorrow. There is a difference in the picks this time. All teams will have the same number of golfers but the game tonight will decide which golfers you can pick (and also the winning team will get first pick, 2nd get 2nd pick etc). I will explain more later but we can get started this evening - even though the start time doesn't need to be as fixed as last week.

Should mention that if you don't smash the games you won't be able to pick solely from the best golfers/favourites. The golfers have been grouped into pools. If you do well on a game then there's a good chance you'll have all the pools available to choose from but if you don't do very well you'll be forced to pick from say Pool C and below (just for that game - each individual game performance decides one individual golfer choice).

Wednesday 19th September - Game Week 2

Gameshow Marathon favourite and rumoured 1FF spin off Only Connect returns! Kinda.

In your team PMs (add me please when you want to get started) you will receive six separate puzzle walls. You ask when you want each one so you can go at your own pace. You will have 7 minutes within your teams to separate the 16 elements into 4 groups. You receive points both for sorting them out correctly (1 point per correct grouping) and also for the link between them (1 point for each group) so your maximum score for each wall is 8. Unlike on the TV, you will not get an unlimited amount of guesses to begin with so you have more time in order to combat the fact you cannot use trial and error. You can discuss and suggest as much as you like but after the 7 minutes I require a bolded set of answers.

If you score between 6-8 points, you may pick any golfer for that selection. 4 or 5 points and you must choose from pool B or below. 2 or 3 points and you can choose from pool C or D and 0-1 points and you must pick from pool D only. These will be posted later.

Everyone will end up with 6 golfers no matter what but to maximise your choice options, doing well here is important. The picking order will be dictated by the overall scores here so the team in 1st will get first pick and so on. Draws will be sorted by a random coin toss.

The golf scoring will be explained later on but if everyone is fine with this bit then we can get started. In your own time you can tell me when you want each puzzle and I will give you it, but we need to have all six done tonight at some point so we can get the golf picks tidied up by the start of play.

Hm, that's a bit shit...

I guess we'll all have to either drop one man for this game (and to be fair, I don't think any teams are likely to get all players online) or you just send the PM to one person per team and then we discuss it in our own PM's before coming back to you with an answer... though I'd suggest that maybe it'd be worth adding another minute or two in if you're going to do it this way.
