The fire continues to spread!

From D0, it burns down to D4. Once again the winds are blowing strongly to the south from here... anybody in D needs to evacuate ASAP!

However... that ember that was floating over to O0 has burned that square as well. The fire rages through O1 and O2 which were already destroyed by the volcano and burns straight down to O6! A single pigeon was killed during this fire. Anbody south of this, once again, should get out of there!

The fire spreads south from D4 all the way down to D13... and OH NO! Aberstone is caught in the blaze! He takes 1hp of damage and will do so for each day he is in the fire!

A claymore left behind by Spirederman!

Meanwhile, on the other side of the map, O7 down to O13 is also set on fire! The following is destroyed:

Small flask (5, can be used to hold 50 water, can be drank at any time)

N0 is the latest square to be covered in flames. It's already destroyed by the volcano, but now the first there looks set to spread south... I would get out of N now if you are there!

But first, who found stuff?

Haddock finds:
Tiger (12BR, +90 food, 80) to hunt!

Natch finds... an alarm space! Oh dear, he's set off an alarm... the sound is coming from K8!

Our fights are... big ones.

Today... we witness our first actual murder...

Harv is slowly making his way across the map, injured and severely lacking food and drink. He struggles to walk... so it takes no effort at all for Stagat to pounce out from behind a rock and place his hands around Harvs throat. Harv doesn't even try to fight it... if anything, death comes as a relief to him.

STAGAT HAS KILLED HARV!

Stagat goes through Harvs bag and recovers:
1 Arrow (6, 1, Must be combined with a bow/crossbow)
Can opener (5, used to open cans!)

Handy, as he does currently hold a can. With no time for a burial, Stagat leaves Harvs body where he fell.

Harv is the final person from district 12 to be killed. District 12 will not see a winner this time. Harv was considered to not be one of the real top contenders to win this thing, but to at least last a decent amount of time. He's about lived up to his billing here.

We have another fight to come... and ANOTHER PERSON IS GOING TO DIE!

Mr Elmo (7, 1hp) vs Aberstone (2, 1hp)

Two people on 1hp!

Poor Aberstone is at a clear disadvantage here, not only due to the lack of weapons/food/thirst, but the fact that he's only just got out of a burning part of the map alive. The last thing he would have wanted, though, is for Mr Elmo to pop out here right now. Aberstone is still trying to catch his breath when Elmo comes charging at him with his spear... Aberstone dodges it, and makes a run for it... but Elmo throws his spear... and it's a great throw, as it catches Aberstone in the back and puntures his lung. Aberstone goes down, and Elmo walks up to him and pulls his spear back out. He turns Elmo around, places the point of the spear on his throat, and pushes down with one quick thrust...

MR ELMO HAS KILLED ABERSTONE!

Elmo goes through Aberstones bag and recovers:
Can of peaches (5, +50 food, +20 thirst. must use a weapon or a can opener)
Bow (0,60, Must be combined with Arrows)

Aberstone was never really seen to have much chance of winning, but has probably exceeded expectations a little by surviving this long. Still, his death was always seen as an inevitability, and it won't come as a shock.

So after the two tributes from District 4 are the first two to get their hands dirty, 10 are down, and 14 tributes remain. Though as the map continues to get smaller with these fires, we can only expect food to become more sparse and fighting like this to become more common...
