A small update, just doing a couple PM's right now... not quite got time to do them all. Plus there is still time until the deadline...

So yeah, if you don't see anything for yourself here, don't necessarily assume that's it.

Paul Haddock attemps to hunt his tiger... it's a brave move, but does not quite pull off for him. He takes a real slashing and is lucky to get away alive. He loses 1hp.

Stagat takes his steroid and gains 1 fighting skill! Stagat got SWOLE!

Ok, quick update, as I have METAL GEARZ to play.

Elmo finds himself a small little treasure trove of goodies:
Knife (3, 25, none)
1 Bullet (0, 1, must be combined with Pistol)
Can of peas (5, +50 food, +20 thirst must use a weapon or a can opener)

THOD finds:
1 Arrow (6, 1, Must be combined with a bow/crossbow)
Can of beans. (5, +50 food, +20 thirst must use a weapon or a can opener)
He actually has 3 cans of beans right now Nice little collection growing there

Don Tonberry finds:
Pigeon (2BR, +30 food, 10) to hunt!

Natch finds:
3 Throwing Knives (3, 10, single use item)

Haddock (8, 3hp) vs Veggie Legs (12, 4hp)

Wow, a big fight between two people who are expected to at least make it to the last five!

It's a pretty close fight, but in the end Haddocks lack of a weapon up against Veggies spear is what does him over. He isn't able to get in close enough to Veggie, and after taking some nasty gashes from the spear finally retreats back to where he came from, taking 1hp of damage.

And... starvation hits once again!

And it's the biggest death of the game so far! Murphy, who is kitted out to shit and was actually touted as the 6th favourite to win this entire thing, has hit 0 for food and thirst! The following items are left where he died:
Sword (8, 100, none)
Heavy body armour (100, +1hp)
Steroids (2, +1BR)
10 Bullets (0, 1, must be combined with Pistol)

Even with his 6hp and 1 armour, and his sword, failure to eat and drink will take down any man. If it can take out a man like Murphy, it just goes to show how dangerous it is.

With that... we actually have 12 men down with 12 left! Congratulations to all who are still alive, you have at least made it to the half way point. But of course, as food continues to become more scarce, hp gets lower, and the map gets smaller, I think it's fair to say that people are going to start dying off a lot faster as the game goes on...

E5 down to E13 is burned, and all that is lost is a pit, which I don't think anybody will miss, and a claymore.

Oddly... the fire does not spread to F0, as you'd predict. It seems that the map has stopped shrinking on the left hand side...

On the right hand side, the fire takes out the rest of N and the following is destroyed:

Rat (2BR, +20 food, 10)
Pit (fall into a pit. Cannot move for a day)

And... OH NO! Hodge is in one of the squares that's gone up in flames! He takes 1hp of damage and will continue to do so until he escapes the fire!

The fire also spreads to L0, killing a boar.

A short break for a while now, as I'm working a lot over the coming days and what little free time I do have I'd rather put toward MGS V So a nice long deadline of 7pm on Sunday.

Tonberry hunts his pigeon that he found... and is successful! He eats the fucker instantly.

God damn it James like any moment over the last day or so you could have done that but you do it RIGHT AT THE MOMENT TO OAF'D EVERYTHING.

Anyway, that fight:

Veggie Legs (9, 4hp) vs Last Request (8, 2hp)

A pretty big fight here between two highly considered tributes with good fighting skill ratings right now. Veggie has the fighting skill advantage here, but LR needs the win more... if he loses, he's on his last legs.

Veggie keeps LR at a distance with that pesky spear, but LR manages to get a good hand on it and grip the stick. They're matches for strength so neither can wrestle control of the spear from the other... but Veggie suddenly lets go of it, sending LR off balance. He uses this moment to take a quick stab at LR... but LR reacts like a cat, dodging it and picking up a large nearby stone and throwing it right into Veggies face. It smashes his face up pretty bad, and Veggie is forced to retreat back to where he came from. LR wins the square, while the favourite, Veggie, takes 1hp of damage!
