Can't believe that. We all complain when Sutts struggles to get on and the game stagnates for a few days and the second he tries to move things along and sets a 24 hour deadline, 2 teams don't bother. Bullshit that. There were enough people viewing this yesterday to know and it only takes 1 team member to bold a contingency in case something happens. Sorry Sutts, bad form from 2 teams after all the effort you go to.

I think if this is to run again any team who fails to give any instructions should also get no offers the following week.

We've also been there for several months putting in the effort too. I'd not see the deadline and I'll assume the rest of our team did the same. It was hardly an intentional snub and to question people's commitment at this point is frankly bullshit.

Guess we all missed the midday deadline.

Thank God for Ciderhead. :2thumb:
Makes a change lately

Tbf I'd only just remembered with about 15 minutes to go so can't blame others for missing it. Not that I'd blame SUTSS either it's good to keep the game moving along, just one of those things. Keeps us on our toes!

Do feel a bit sorry for Haddocks though. With their fight record it might not have made much difference, mind!

Perhaps in the moment, I went over the top. Sorry.

However, intentional or not, that's a naff turn out. We all know how the game works and the deadline was clear as day in bold. Dont know why teams don't bold something straight away as a contingency. We must go through 3-4 bolded choices that we amend slightly every round.

I was aware of the midday deadline but have been too busy at work which despite my love for this game comes first. I've only just managed to get a break despite starting at 06:45am.

Definitely not a case of being idle though Lee, but apologies to SUTSS nonetheless...

Just glad we weren't the only ones to miss it.

Yeah to go from a week of no activity to a deadline of 24 hours is shite really. Don't think anyone in our team would have looked for that.

With our current fight record and general luck throughout, we were never going to win. Without Stagat in China and hodge busy at the weekends, it was always going to be hard for us.

We all complain when Sutts struggles to get on

Do we?

Anyway, you're right of course that the deadline was there in bold. For my part, it is on me that I mentally skipped over it when I read the card. My mind was just elsewhere when I did so.

Not that it matters but... I normally read any overnight posts in this thread at breakfast and make a mental note to deal with anything that needs dealing with later. Normally afternoon / evening, once I've done my work and stuff. Posting contingencies really ain't a priority over morning coffee. Especially when deadlines are normally 2 or 3 days later.

Much of yesterday afternoon / evening was spent cycling around Shanghai suburbs looking at potential new apartments though, which meant this game was completely forgotten about. This morning there were no new posts to check up on when I woke up so I didn't check up on it. With Paul also being caught out by the short deadline there wasn't even the safety net of him suggesting stuff in the PM that reminded me we needed to do something, which TBH I have needed before.

Failing to enter characters wasn't deliberate (I know nobody has suggested it was). Was a combination of a short deadline (for the other guys on our team, I think) and my mind being elsewhere (it was at looking for somewhere to live after August) over that 24 hours or so.

We were going out very soon anyway but this week has had an unnatural effect on the game, which is a shame. So genuine apologies to all for my part in causing that. No apologies for the reasons why, though.

Apologies if I offended anybody. I jumped the gun.

No worries here mate. We all know you get yourself invested in these things more than most  I just wanted to clarify what happened from my PoV really, nothing more.
