To be fair it's not great for northerners. Only chance we get to go to glitzy London to try forget about our tuberculosis and 80 hour a week job down t'pits is to get stabbed in a quarter-full stadium.

Us south-easterners should have good home records next season at least - all you northern lot will be knackered after the long trip down!

Almost entirely northern, most crowds below 5,000, several ex-non league clubs with equivalent facilities. The only upside is that most teams look a bit crap and should make a top six finish more than achievable if we don't fuck things up this Summer.

Chesterfield to go up, please. Need Swindon, Sheffield United and Preston with us for the sake of my sanity.

Several? I count three. Maybe 4 if Stevenage or Wycombe come up. Plus Shrewsbury were only there for a year or two. Don't Burton train at St George's Park too? Not exactly tinpot is it?

On hindsight you might be trolling but I thought I'd put it out there.

But you'll have a terrible away record then!

Hopefully Swindon and Plymouth to win their playoffs, although not sure Plymouth would really want to seeing as every away match would be 200+ miles.

Depends, we take shite followings there each time we play.

Would be decent with a few thousand there.

Last time we played em away on Saturday was 2006, we played on Tuesday nights on our last three trips and took over 1k to all, beer down London Bridge etc, cracking.

If the league is too northern based for you keep getting relegated until you play in the regional leagues. Then you can say cor blimey gov and play chaz and Dave songs whilst eating your jellied eels chating to one man and his dog at Maidstone away.

Or you could get in your car, travel up north and have a great away day. It really is not all flat caps and breeding whippets you know.

Don't think we will ever take more than a 1000 to Milwall, too many bottle jobs!

You could argue that this is just league one getting back to how it should be.

This league has been treated in recent times with clubs such as Leeds, Southampton, Leicester, Coventry, Wolves, Sheffield United etc.

I'd say it's going to be the worst league one in terms of quality (especially if PNE go up). In terms of it being northern, I don't mind it if I end up going to uni in Leeds.

We're traditionally better against teams from the north, than we are teams from the south. Must be something to do with climate, gravitational pull and increased sunlight hours.

"Worst L1 in years".

What happens each year is the best teams go up and the crap from the Championship comes down. L2 sends in its pick and sometimes they fare well, sometimes they don't. Every club that was here last year evolves for better or worse and the end result is invariably a competitive league that is difficult to get out of and difficult to stay in.

Yeah but you can't argue that this years league was far weaker than last season, and the teams coming into the division look a lot weaker than the teams leaving it.

Ok Blackpool are shite, but so are Yeovil. Burton & Shrewsbury are good, Millwall & Wigan could do well too.
