Haven't lost a four day game since April 2014 or something now. Really good effort...obviously we have an unbelievable squad but the youngsters coming in to replace our England players have done great too.

If only we could dominate the one day game too :bg:

Yarkshire are obvious minted which very much helps, but fair play to them as somebody up there is doing a mighty fine job with their academy. For the sake of the England side I hope that continues and that other counties also try to emulate that.

3 hundreds from Tresco, Abell and Cooper put us in a very strong position.

Decent fightback from middlesex preventing the win inside 2 days. However i still expect a win at some point tommorrow. Saw a stat earlier weve lost 4 times in our last 61 4day matches , not bad going

Sorry aber, nothing personal. From a Gills perspective, I would always want Plymouth, Exeter, Torquay, Yeovil, Rovers, City and even the Swine in the same division as us (and perhaps Newport, Cardiff and Cheltenham too).

We are currently in a division full of northern monkeys, it would be nice if the cricket was a little more southern (west) orientated.
Barring a disaster it looks like we are going to be ok . A draw is all we need ( repeat mantra )

At Lords watching Gloucestershire, sat in front of a Surrey fan who makes Australians look humble. Talk about billy big bollocks.

50 for Jones bellend behind didn't clap. They announce its his last professional innings as he walks off and bellend still didn't clap. Wanker.

I expect he didn't clap because he is an ex-Kent player. All Slurrey fans are clueless BBB c***s, and I am really glad that Gloucestershire won.

Somerset safe now. Thank fuck. There really needs to be a sort out over the winter. The keeper position needs addressing along with the Middle order and fast bowling department. If a bit of quality can be added and if our youngsters can stay fit we could challenge next season.

In terms of first class, with 2 good additions we could be onto something, I'd try and get an overseas keeper De Kock, Ronchi, Wade maybe

1- Trescothick
2- Abell
3- Cooper
4- Hildreth
5- NEW PLAYER
6- NEW PLAYER
7- Trego
8- Gregory
9- C.Overton
10- Leach
11- J.Overton

The three quicks will only continue to get better imo and need exposure. Just thinking though if we could persuade a couple of guys from relegated teams to join us then Jack Shantry wouldn't be the worst guy to try and persuade, would also be closer to Bristol as I'm pretty sure he's a City fan.... Batsman wise someone needs to tell James Vince a move to Somerset is best for him :shifty:

I'd really like us to go for billings from Kent. Improving keeper and agressive batsman. I'd really like a top quality fast bowler as our overseas player . The Overton twins and Gregory are only going to get better but we do need another high quality seamer imo. There's a lot of cricket to play and we could be seeing some england call ups as well as the usual injuries. Need to sort out the futures of dockrell and meschede as a priority.

Took the piss that Dockrell went out on loan with the whole Rehman situation, he should never have come in. Meschede.... honestly not sure. If we went for an overseas quick bowler, Boult, Southee or Siddle would be my choices. Problem with Billings is England already have their eye on him so would be disappearing often.

Shola Ameobi's Notts County
Great to see Billy Root make his debut for Notts today - he's got bags of talent and the amount of runs he's scored this season is extraordinary. Not sure what his contract situation is but I'm sure it'll get sorted. He'll have a brilliant chance along with Jake Libby to get game time as well next season with Lumb's decline and Hales/Taylor off with England quite frequently potentially.

Can't see anyone getting close to yorkshire again next year as we will actually have a better team with Lyth and ballance being back for good it seems also the signing of willey should hopefully improve our one day record. Could be a very dominant year for us i reckon.

Somerset pull off the win bowling out Warwickshire and winning by 17 runs, sounded like an exciting day, was tempted to go down as it was free ah well... Big improvements needed for next year though, a high quality seam bowler, a number 3 and a new keeper.

Fair play to Dorkshire, winning 11 games out of 16 is a brilliant effort. We ended with a draw at Gloucester and finished 4th overall which is a very good season for us considering we were expecting to finish low down.

Thrilling end to the season with my Team hampshire staying up by just 2 points after beating Notts and Yorks beat Sussex sending them down, we looked dead and buried after losing to Yorks last week. :bravo:

Somerset have signed Chris Rogers as overseas player for next season, as well as Ryan Davies from Kent who was England U19 keeper apparently.
