Not necessarily the case. Some drop because being in a National League impacts their daily jobs too much. Plenty have opted to stay in regional football.

Aye, Nathan Jarman as an example has done it 2 or 3 times, from memory.

Let's face it, there must be lots of players who will never risk a secure job with the backing of a contract as a part time footballer against the potential lottery that is a one or maybe two year full time contract, that may be the only one they get and then back to square one. That does not make these part timers inferior footballers.

Ferriby may as well just not turn up next season, it's going to be embarrassing some weeks for them. Solihull losing their rock at the back as well, severe test.

Halifax have given themselves a chance with that appointment. Anyone's guess as to who will be Top 5 next season - there'll inevitably be one team that comes from nowhere to unexpectedly challenge as well.

Its raining new players at Alty, TWO promising young wingers signed today. Billy Hasler-Cregg and Jamie Menagh.

I also see Michael Rankine has gone to Guiseley, hope it works out for him and Guiseley.

Works hard and great set piece delivery but ultimately lacks in the quality you need in a winger if you want to challenge at the top end of this league IMO, he was also really poor in the few games he played under Young with major improvement coming when Gannon arrived so a bit surprised at this.

Nottingham was a right back, not a centre back. He wasn't actually great at defending, it was the amount of chances he created going forward that we will miss. Would prefer to lose Sheriff ahead of either Theo Streete, Gaz Dean or Liam Daly (they are our rocks at the back), if any of them go then we do have serious problems.

Salford will win the league. :£
Salford had all the money and best squad last season but they finished 3rd and got plenty of luck in the playoffs (especially the final) to get promoted. I saw them plenty of times, fantastic on their day but tactically naive at times - I'm sure they will be challenging but I don't see them as runaway leaders.

Brandan Daniels has signed for Fylde from Harrogate. Best Striker in the league last season for me. Good signing for the Coasters.

Salford will definitely finish in the top 5, they're signing good players for this level. I suppose why earn success when you can buy it?

I just can't be arsed with all the 'fairytale' bollocks the media will come up with.

Salford, Halifax and Fylde are certanties for the play off IMO.

He's a left winger so you can't know too much about him - had a great season but remains to be seen if he is a one season wonder or can do it consistently.

3 year contract apparently. Absolutely crazy stuff

For a 3 year contract at this sort of level especially you have to guarantee they will be good otherwise you're screwed. But there's no saying how he'll perform under the management team or with the other players also he could get a season ending injury in his first game. For me the negatives outweigh the positives in this deal.

The same one that used to play for you a few years ago, who ridiculously dived for that pen against us?

Clayton MacDonald and Tristan Dunkley are leaving Worcester. MacDonald was not offered an extension while Dunkley is joining a new club apparently, he also told Carl Heeley this by text.

There's a chance he could end up following Gardiner here.

Tom Sharpe as signed a new contract with them.

I like Menagh, he works hard and his delivery is good, he's also a nice lad to boot, got on with the fans well here. Scored a few crackers for us as well.

His undoing at this level was that he could be pushed off the ball easily at times as physically he isn't the strongest. Could do with beefing up a bit.

Wish him well.

Jim's better off out of there, far too good a manager and bloke to be slumming it at a place like that.

Fylde, Stockport, Darlington, Boston, Kiddy, Alty, Harrogate, Tamworth and Salford will all finish above you. No chance of the title.
I know you are just trying to wind up B2TF but i would be very surprised if all 9 of those finish above Halifax.
Some maybe but not all 9.

Embarrassingly for Kwiss, Jim doesn't agree with him - "I’m very disappointed I won’t be staying on. All I can say is that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time working there. I’ve loved the job, loved the supporters - they’ve been brilliant to me".

When interviewed for Stepford Whores media recently and asked if he'd "been looking forward to coming back" he looked a bit blank and told them "I haven't given it a thought to be honest. Sorry.". Oh dear, unrequited love eh, Kwiss? All the money in the world can't buy you fans or make you a REAL football club. Never mind, maybe Swampy will buy you a lollipop. :fl::fl::fl: :£:£:£:£

We've signed Ethan Moore and Kieran Thomas from Cinderford (who are in absolute disarray after refusing promotion to the Southern Prem). Thomas was their captain (only 20 too) and very highly rated. Moore was their top scorer with 29 goals. Had a spell with Worcester a few seasons ago in the CN and had a really good scoring record there but had some issues off the pitch. If we can keep him on track we should have a goalscorer at last!

Dunkley joined Hednesford, surprising move as he always looked pretty handy. Wayne Thomas also leaving, big loss for them. They still haven't replaced Nathan Vaughan either. I'd be pretty concerned right now if I was a Worcester fan.

We have signed Fylde goalkeeper Ben Hinchliffe - good keeper but sounds like he is coming to us on the back of a not particular great season for his high standards.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
For alot of the things i really don't like about the Salford City saga, I will give them credit for their Season Ticket prices...........only £75.

With me just moved into the area and unofficially just after a second team stop-gap and tight on cash it almost......almost tempted me.

But i shall stick with curzon, it'll cost more, but that club is alot more genuine.

Still i think its nice for once a club who has ridiculous amounts of money doesn't try and also at same time rip fans off. They need that sort've deal because for all the hype around them, they are not really growing very big, they had 1,800 vs Workington but being there i'd said over half were workington fans.

They charge £75 because they don't need the money from the fans to sustain themselves.

They were only averaging just over 100 before the takeover and transport wise it couldn't be much worse to get to - their crowds have swelled in a very short space of time.
