Also in a recent Interview Colin Gordon said he was speaking to a director at BPA and he said we have half the budget they do. Not sure I 100% believe that but if it is true how are BPA doing so badly?

Having had the pleasure of seeing BPA this season, I can categorically state that is complete bollocks. :bdick:

.

Other than Fylde, there hasn't been a team i've seen been able to compete with our tempo and general fitness levels.

ague.
Were you at The Shay last month?

ALL the teams in this league flatter to deceive..... even yours. :bdick:

Yes, and although you deserved to win - it was just one of them days for us.

Halifax take a direct, aggressive approach to the game and are similar to about 90% of teams in the league in that respect. You lot are just more effective than the others, and our team were too inexperienced to deal with it.

Not seen a team, bar Fylde, really come onto us and try to play us at our own game. Teams like Halifax contribute in creating the division stereotype of Non-League Cloggers.

Of course a full time teams like yourselves and Fylde is going to play better football when you spend over double the amount of time on the training pitch every week.

Worcester have failed to sell 1200 for their home game against us so we've been given an extra 200. Should now be equal home and away fans because of the 2000 capacity limit.

Poor showing from Worcester they seem to have left all their fans in Scunthorpe!

Haha. Once he finishes maybe they could look down the a59 and take Weaver, he would be a perfect finisher to that shower of shite....amazingly I think there may even have been rumours Weaver might be going there. An incredible thought when you think back to the Jon Mccarthy days.

Now he should have been the next york manager.

Perhaps Kidderminster just aren't that big a draw. It's a thought. :bdick:

Seems like an age since the last league match, finally got one this weekend. Harrogate at home and a game I keep changing my confidence in.

A while back I was very confident as we are in form, have FINALLY won a home league match, and Harrogate seem in a slump. Then when 3-0 up in the FA Cup game I was sure it will be an 'after the lord mayors show' certain defeat....then after the 10 minute collapse I was certain of a determined win to get back at the next team we fave following it.

But as I settle on this, Harrogate have improved, a great two performances vs Salford, a win vs Telford and solid vs Barrow........now errrm a draw!

Should be a good game, a key for us is trying to attack as we did vs Wimbledon and Halifax, I would imagine having watched Wimbledon game, Harrogate will lump a lot of balls right at goalie as he failed and we panic at them with lack of height......may help us if they changed tactic just for that

Good point, knowing that only the opposition will made an attempt to play football must be dispiriting for the home fan who are so very used to cheering on a bunch of cloggers.

Back to league action for the first time in a while tomorrow. Salford City the visitors to the Impact in another tough home game. Since our 4-1 thrashing at their place in September when they went top things have gone a little wrong for them. Still they are a very strong side and we will have to be at our very best to get anything from the game.

Some massive games the top of the table tomorrow.

Us v Darlo
Chorley v Tamworth
Gloucester v Fylde

If teams around us drop points and we win it will put us in a great position for Christmas and into the new year.

But Darlo will be a very tough game and honestly I think i'd take a point.

I'd also be delighted if you got a point. And I'm sure we'd both be delighted if Gloucester did us a favour. But if they play like they did against us I can't see it.

Promising young keeper Ross Durrant has signed for Boston from Ilkeston.

Yet another player to leave Ilkeston who are nothing short of the biggest shambles in non league. The level of ineptitude there is mind boggling.

First win since end of september against a woeful telford and a few fa noddy trophy performances do not paper over the fact the squad as a whole is wholly under achieving.
That said things have improved slightly in the last couple of weeks.
Your attack was good at ours and I expect a decent scoring draw at best for us, enroute to a lower mid table finish having realised yet again that big wages, loads of extra coaching and analysis and transfer fees paid matter for shit when you can't man manage players. As this season's new cast of fc daddy are showing.

Curzon 0-0 Harrogate at half time.

Very even game between two sides who simply play a similar way and cancel each other out. Neither has any height, both play one striker with support, both get around the box then struggle to find anything to grab a great chance.

Game isn't boring, been a couple of chances each, but keepers have yet to really be tested....may need a tactical gamble from one of the sides to grab this

Massive win today. A very even game but 6 points taken off Darlo this season is massive.

Curzon 1-0 Harrogate.

Very fortunate in the end. Second half like first with game even but we hit the bar from a nice shot outside box. We took lead with a ball they couldn't clear that was then taken well and finished.

Harrogate then made subs and dominated most of the last 30 minutes, but missed 2-3 excellent chances to equalize.......we doggedly held on for the win. Harrogate should have scored really, but their inability to cost them in the end.

3 wins in row now vs top half teams, now 3 games vs poorer sides we need to capitalise on to establish us midtable

Well we ended up with a point, probably fair considering the game as a whole, definitely need more fire power, keeper had a great game today. Looking forward to the big double header v Fylde next.

I see we hit the bottom this afternoon, urgh. 7 points off safety, probably 38 more points needed from 26 games to survive, which is a sobering thought. Awful run of games coming up - Salford, Alfreton (will concede but score too many for us), Tamworth, Brackley and Stockport. We could very well still have 7 points by Christmas Day

And so it came to pass.

Usual awful shite despite the bullish noises emanating throughout the week from boss Matt Doughty, the man who was assistant to 2 of the last 3 diabolocal managers.

County were as average as they were in September, as average as Curzon, Telford, Bradford, Tamworth, Boston et al. They didn't need to get out of second gear, once they'd scored their first, they'd done enough to win the game.
