At least I got value for money.... Manager can't say he isn't entertaining the fans!

I think you made the mistake of scoring early in the second half, thus pissing them off into scoring 3 more. What we did is offer no resistance whatsoever, meaning that they gave up at 6-0 after 47 minutes, and tapped it around in midfield, practising keepy-ups, texting their mates, smoking fags, reading the paper, having a brew etc.

Standard win yesterday without really getting out of 1st gear. Played some great football again, and the same old faces shone, Ngtwalala, Gnahaoua, Lowe. Another healthy attendance of 1465.
Average squad age of 22 so you'd think there is still more to come. The squad is low on numbers with a couple of departures so i'm sure we will make a couple of signings in soon.

Think Austin had a cracking game as well. Out of position and he didn't put a foot wrong defensively and offers more going forward than Ty Williams.

How bad where Gainsborough yesterday?

Thought I'd bring this into this thread. They weren't actually that bad, looked good going forward but couldn't handle our attack. The first half they had a couple of chances but the second half they didn't create anything.

Gloucester at home tonight. Big game and if we win we close the gap and maybe go above Darlo and close the gap to Chorley and Fylde.

Stockport are going nowhere without root & branch reform, starting in the boardroom. What they have become is a tragedy. :ffs:

Cheers mate but we've tried that a few times in the last few years and look where it's got us - hanging around outside the play offs with you lot.

We have a board which celebrates mediocrity. Until we get some new investors or the board decide to show some ambition we will be rotting in this division for the foreseeable future.

This league is a living death for clubs like ours. Every year spent here drains a little more hope, a little more life and the club dies a little more. We both HAVE to get out. :tw:

£lyd£ have signed Darren Stephenson on loan:pmsl: imo overrated and does not have an impact in most games. But this is just my opinion, think of him what you will

I am surprised they need any more players,

2 results tonight.

Kiddy 3-0 Gloucester
Tamworth 2-2 Stockport

Goold solid win for Kiddy there, but Tamworth i think scored very late and was maybe a killer goal for Stockport's chances this season, leaves them now 7 points off the play-offs. Is nice to see Tamworth up there, they very much impressed me when we played them, best team i seen this season so far.

Another 3-0 win and quite a comfortable one against a team who have been up there this season.

First 20 minutes Gloucester didn't let us have a sniff of the ball and kept us in our own half but their only chance was a cross which was mishit and ended up clipping the bar. Eventually we got our foot in the game and from then it was all us. First goal was a tad fortunate as Tunnicliffe's header hit Avery and went in for an OG.

Second half we carried on from where we left off Andre Brown and Arthur Gnahoua should have put us two up before Gnahoua eventually did as he ran past 2 players before beating Singh from a tight angle. Our third was beautiful as Croasdale played a long switch ball to Francis-Angol who then volleyed the ball first time to Gnahoua who just placed the ball past Singh.

Gloucester still didn't create anything of note throughout the game. But up to 3rd 3 points of Chorley with a game in hand.

Really? We've put 10 past them this season in the league and cup.

yep.

while your lot destroyed us i felt we pretty much gifted you most of the game by constantly passing it to your forwards for most of the first half. When Tamworth came i expected our first home win as we'd improved and they totally dismantled us.

they must have had something beat Salford, Darlo, Harrogate and Fylde back-to-back, but its hard to say who will grab the 4 play-off spots this season.

Another solid win.

Really impressed & pleased with our playing style again. If we keep Elton/Gnuahoa in January, we have definitely secured a play-off spot. Those 2 are just far too good for this level. Andre Brown worked tirelessly, and should have got a couple and I think he offers a bit more than Mani.
If we can do good business in January and bring in a poacher and keep those 2, we will be looking in a good position. A right-back wouldn't go amiss, still feel Williams is quite limited but he has done well generally this season - just being picky.
Gloucester were poor, ran out of ideas and decided to take 'Stevenage-2008 style' breaks to give themselves moments of rest as they tried to keep in-line of the tempo we set. All to see when Elton brings 5 4/5 players out of the game, and their number 6 puts in a reckless challenge to only suffer a yellow card. Referee was very disappointing in general.

Lincoln Utd follows on Saturday, I did opt to do my Xmas shopping this weekend but now tickets for Worcester away are being sold straight after the game, it has lured me to go. Can't wait till we're back in league action if i'm being honest!

Fair play to getting the game on, thought it had no chance especially after a recent visit there (albeit for a Worcester game) when they called it off 40 mins before kick off for far less rain. I couldn't get out of work in time to go and I know that was the case for a lot of others but really surprised to hear we only had 61 there! That is very poor for us. Think this proves that with our strongest team we are capable of challenging for the play offs but when we have a few injuries we don't have the strength in depth or finances to replace like for like. Last few weeks the wheels have well and truly fallen off.

Our pitch has improved massively after the recent issues. We fixed our drainage problems and got in a new groundsman. It's now like carpet. Over 50 games were played on it last season and it was fine in the final game still.

I honestly dont envy you guys in this league, it looks uber competitive. Perhaps the strongest its been before?

My honest opinion is that if you put us in this division now we would struggle to get top 8. Seems to be a bottle neck of very strong teams in there . Cant believe Alty have only won once all season.

People who have been in this league longer what are the odds of BPA getting Saturdays game on? I know we played them in the trophy around this time a few years ago and they struggled and it was postponed at about 2pm which was annoyingly late.

I think you will be lucky if the game goes ahead. I like how your club has offered Harriers ST holders £5 to get in! You need an offer like that to entice you to travel to that shithole!

Oh and please make sure you take the 3 points home with you if the game goes ahead!

They've offered it to all season ticket holders of any club. So B2TF I noticed you guys don't have a game I'm sure you'd love the BPA game ;)

But if we didn't get 3 points I'd be disappointed.

Nuneaton away for us tomorrow. My least favourite away day on a par with Bradford PA. Its the last of the games I will be missing due to my new job too. Not expecting a classic by any stretch. Tough one to call. Perhaps a score draw.
