Its Next week mate. (Trophy is 26th)

Its a massive 6 pointer. To be honest I am not confident.

Ah yes, just noticed that. I didn't go today, couldn't bear it. After twelve months of awful football, the Telford game finally broke my spirit. I listened to some of the commentary, same old story.

I really, really don't think you have anything to worry about next week. I said last week we could still be stuck on 7 points at Christmas, so far so good (bad). I wonder if Jim Harvey will be walking soon.

In a bid to start winning on Saturdays at home (last Saturday home win being Nuneaton in April) we adopted a new idea.

Sadly giving them a 3 goal head start wasn't the right idea.

Brackley were fitter than us and clinical when on top. We had our fair share but ran out of puff in the last 20 mins when the comeback was on. Missing another penalty didn't help matters

Just over an hour. Looked tidy enough without doing anything spectacular. Certainly better than the bloke who replaced him- Fairhurst, who I didn't even realise had come on

Constantly injured and it takes him about 5 consecutive games to get going but by that time he gets injured again. If he's not playing, he piles on the pounds.

If I'm honest, I think he's a player who's playing football because he has to, not because he enjoys it anymore. Seems to have lost all motivation for it but football is all he can do.

On our forum at the mo, there is a thread entitled "If you could pick any ex Alty player to get us out of this mess etc".

More than one person has genuinely called for Kyle Perry's return. I know players who leave get better once you no longer have to suffer them, but jeez.

A 1-0 home win against Gainsborough tonight helps close up the gap to the top 10 and back in playoff contention.

A professional, disciplined performance up against a dirty side, who picked up 6 bookings, and an absolutely clueless referee. We are still in desperate need of some extra attacking quality to go alongside Lloyd, hopefully we can find some sooner rather than later.

Quinn?

Yeah he picked up one for pulling back Odejayi when he got away from him and Gainsborough looked in trouble. People also thought he picked up a yellow earlier in the game for dissent, but apparently that was a teammate.

Tough tough game for us this weekend at home to Halifax.

Really should have limited chance, bottom teams struggle to beat top, add their good form, our awful home form and that they will probe outnumber us fans wise.

2 things I believe give us a chance. Firstly is our new ex-Liverpool striker Morgan.....unsure on his terrible decline from them, but he's 4 goals in 4 games since arrival, its added to our team and may be a missing piece we needed (Liverpool press have done 2 bits on him this week so must have been highly rated there....just went wrong somewhere)

Second hope is momentum. We have just came off a big win to give alot of the players, manager and fans their biggest ever game........that brought an enormous high and it is a very confident and motivated team fax will play.

Tough and expect little, but think maybe that fa cup buzz could see us nick this one.

What actually is the general perception of Brackley on here? We've played them 4 times and never beaten them, they seem to turn into a Championship side whenever they play us but never seem to do anything in the league?

I thought they looked a good but unspectacular team when we got a 2-2 draw at their place.

They had 2 quality CB's who contained our strikers really well. Defended very compact and put a lot of men in the centre of the pitch. Going forward the got the ball on the floor and played it wide very quick and got crosses into our Box.

From what I saw they didn't have a creative player that gets something out of nothing like a Gillies or a Rowe. Depending how good a keeper and CB's you have wI'll depend how well you defend balls into your box. If that's a strong point for your team then I reckon you'd do well against them. Gills looked all at sea every time a cross went in last night and if that's the case brackley will punish you.

All in all a good side who I reckon will be close to that final play off plave (5th) come the end of the season.

Fully expect a comfortable win for our boys given our great form as of late and curzon's god awful home form. Both teams off the back of historical results in the fa cup now need to turn their attention back to league in both their promotion and relegation scraps.

Shame I can't make it, would have loved to come to curzon, they seem like a really friendly club with a friendly set of supporters. Expect 500+ shaymen there on Saturday Dave.

Breaking News - Manager change at Boro;
Kevin Wilson has been relieved of his duties at Nuneaton Town Football Club with immediate effect.

Tommy Wright has been appointed first team manager with Steve Chettle staying on as first team coach. The pair are taking training with the players this morning ahead of the trip to FC United of Manchester tomorrow.

Surprised by this. For some reason it just hasnt worked out for Wilson this season. They where going so well at the halfway point of last season at the top of the league. What went wrong?

Hoping there is 500, may mean near 800-1000 then. I also usually would say cert away win, but decided on a hard earned draw in the Curzon predictor game......just have that feeling the buzz in team from midweek may get us something.

Make sure your fans keep eye on Curzon live twitter at dinner, we have had 24 hours of heavy rain and sleet. Hoping it will be ok as we have a superb pitch, but as I'm only a Curzon fan last 12 months I am unsure how they usually cope with bad weather (some clubs alway seem to get on regardless and others always end posponed)

looks like game on.............weather dried up, now all we need is some sort've Baldrick style 'cunning plan' to somehow grab a win.

i have suggested that maybe we change the 'home team' and 'away team' signs on the dressing room doors so our lot end up in the fax away kit and thus will suddenly transform into our excellent away form.......end of day Halifax won't notice it as they play in blue anyway :err:

Are you from the Ashton area mate? I've been to Curzon quite a few times of the years when Oldham aren't playing. Got a soft spot for them, decent ground for a club their size and it's nice to be able to have a pint whilst watching the match.

No I am a Carlisle fan who moved to Middleton and picked them to follow, they do very well on the crowds.

Game has fax on top last 15 mins. We are a small team and cannot handle the height and they know it. One hope is they have become very one game plan which may backfire if we do keep them out

Haha Curzon 1-0 Halifax

Against run of play, struggled like hell Last 15 mins, but they didn't create much, apart from one superb chance for their number 9, a great save kept him out.

But fax got lazy and sloppy on a set price of ours, didn't mark up expecting height advantage to do job.....2 men unmarked, first blocked, second walked it in.

2-0 a superb ball to right win and great move opened them up.

Fax's entire game plan of hoof to no.9 had them on top, but hasn't worked........they need a plan b.

Don't deserve it on balance of play, but fax have been lazy and sloppy at back.

Bloody typical Halifax town. Won 10 in last 12 playing great football with a more diverse style. Then losing 2-0 to pissing curzon Ashton, title is probably over already

You were unlucky really, we did great early on, but then you were on top large chunks of half, problem is you decided early (either due to our small defence or normal game plan) to put all to huge no.9 its nearly worked, he had 2 superb chances, but neither went in.

You got cocky defending the free kick as you are winning 90% of balls in air you slacked off marking and it cost you. Second was a superb breaking move.

Think you will still nab draw myself, but you need to work on others than no.9 as no doubt we will now try and block him out
