Stupidest red card decision I've ever seen. The #10 did nowt, in fact he was the one fouled.

Fair play to Boston for conceding 6 in 30 minutes in the first half.

Bizarrely awful game. Ref terrible, players worse, and a few Town schoolboys are having a little showdown with the stewards instead of supporting their team.

Now down to 9 men another horrendous red card, plus its 4-2 and 5 police cars here to arrest half the Halifax support

Well that was a ridiculous afternoon.

Glad Curzon won and not ruined by the atrocious ref, we were looking good for a 5/6 goal win until twice our player is fouled, ref gives other way and gives a red card......ruined game.

Think the extra reds hurt a fax comeback as they just shoved 6-7 men in box and lost all shape and style. Third red was 100% fair, a stupid tackle at wrong time (you don't fly into rash tackles when already down to 9 men)

Sadly win tarnished a wee bit by about 30 fax youths causing big problems, police got some hopefully.

Adam Morgan has really added for us.....6 goals now in 5 games. He is too good for us, but should drag us out of danger.

Another cracking win for BPA...someone else is going to drop when bottom 3 looked finished

Another very good 3 points for Chorley against Gloucester with a 4-1 win, thought we were always in control, perhaps should have done better for their goal but then put things right by adding two more goals, up to second now, that Xmas/ New Year double header with Fylde is beginning to look like it might be tasty. Predictably, Alfreton 3-2 up, Monkhouse hat-trick.
Alfreton 3-2 Altrincham (Monkhouse 77,86 Hearn 89) (Wilkinson 32,Moult 83)

Mate I am generally at a loss how to explain how we won that football match.

Words I put on here cannot do justice to how fucking inept we were today. You guys were the better side throughout, wanted it more and were just generally more clean in a poor game. You failed on two things. Being clinical and defending set pieces. We were poor both halves but were unacceptable second half. Barely creating a single foray in to your box until the 30 minutes of the second half. By that point you should have been 4-0 up. Unbelievable goalline clearance from Mantack first half before you were unlucky second half when you hit the post and Reeves, normally deadly missed a huge change with the goal gaping from 6 yards.

We on the other hand? Lethargic, off the pace, lazy, sloppy, no threat? I could go on...

Until that is we get a barely deserved equalizer from a goalmouth scramble. To be fair to Alty you responded really well and went straight up the other end and went back in front. No complaints. Then unfortunate you rather fell apart. Monkhouse once gain scrambling home to force another scrappy undeserved equalizer. Before we came again and in yet another awful goalmouth scramble we bundled it in again to seal an extraordinary win. Never seen a more underserved win and ever seen 3 poorer goals to win a game of football. Truly abysmal stuff.

Having all said that, 3 points were a must and in the end... we got them. Just.

Best thing now is there is a weeks rest before the Trophy where I hope Nicky players some of the youth team frankly.

I haven't been to a game since Telford a month ago. I believe there was some dissatisfaction expressed by the Alty fans after the game, which I've never known. No-one around the club knows how to win a game. Blyth, Brackley and Tamworth coming up..shudder.

Harvey will go by New Year I reckon, possibly with his reputation permanently tarnished at this rate.

Lost to what Shankly would have called "Ale house footballers". First goal, striker controlled the ball with his hand, second third and fourth all scored too easily. In the end our best hope was a fourth red for the home side and the game abandoned but the ref was just messing with us. Chairman deep in thought at the end. More worrying is North Ferriby won today so we may be dipping in again for more of their "talent". :bdick:

most of the Halifax fans were excellent, considering their constant frustration as game went on. The problem was a group of about 30 Chav teens who came along with them, probably 14-19 year olds in the group i'd hazard a guess.

first half was fine, but second half they decided to group themselves at the front of the main stand right next to the small band of home fans and i am guessing stood there just to make sure it caused trouble (not 100% sure myself as i stodd with the main group of fax fans as i enjoy the large terrace on other side) I think we borrowed afew stewards from Oldham and was problems between them and the group of youths which got worse and worse as second half went on.

in the end 5 police cars and a van arrived maybe 10-15 police so i can only guess it started to get violent, the problem i guess was they deliberately parked themselves among the kids and families so safety was a worry.

it is just a shame the police didn't hurd them out into Ashton itself, is probably enough barmpots in that area that they'd group up and kick their heads in them dump them back to Halifax.

Standard win yesterday without really getting out of 1st gear. Played some great football again, and the same old faces shone, Ngtwalala, Gnahaoua, Lowe. Another healthy attendance of 1465.
Average squad age of 22 so you'd think there is still more to come. The squad is low on numbers with a couple of departures so i'm sure we will make a couple of signings in soon.
