Excellent result for Stockport. Backed the draw on my coupon, so it shows what I know

Been a good week really in end for your lot (who did what top teams do and bounce back) and Stockport. I wonder if brackley are running out of steam.

Salford need to go for it or else bbc will be annoyed if no drama.

At bottom was good week for Gainsborough, I am thinking BPA seem to be struggling again......maybe its going to just be too much for them.

Anyone know what usual points you need in 22 team league for 5th and safety? I am looking at a hopeful 42 point mark for Curzon to be safe

Confident and pretty simple win over a poor Tamworth. Two games, five goals and none conceded. Tim Harris deserves massive praise for what has been a bloody awful week off the pitch.

Considering Telford don't seem to know who will be playing in goal for them Saturday and that they are in poor form, pretty confident we can get something there. Safe from relegation in Feb? Nosebleed territory.

I thought when we played Brackley earlier in the season they'd be play offs. Looked really sound and organised at the back but like you say maybe they're running out of steam, their good run in the FA cup probably hasn't helped

Stockport reckon less than 300 home fans last night. The discrepancy between the apparent means and the actual playing staff again highlights the disgusting level of artificial funding of shit like this. :£Glad to see them get a good old fashioned rogering by one of our brother Football League clubs. :bdick:

What's worse tho, permitted and gifted funding for tin potters or so called football clubs mugging off their local community and businesses after being run far beyond their means and going into admin leaving a lot of innocent people out of pocket? Any chance of a whip around from you lot to help those out of pocket still seeing as tho you are so determined that it is the same club?

Haha 'brother football league clubs'. Brilliant. I think the those in the football league do mention and miss County.....you lot? hahaha. Can't remember City or Hudders lads I know saying how much they miss the Shay.

Just another tin pot northern non league outfit. And you love it.

Christ, he's got me on fucking speed dial. :fl:

I'm sure in the teeming metropolis that is England's buttered scone capital you must meet thousands of Huddersfield and Bradford fans and you've spoken to them all. It will suffice here to refer to the City forum around the time of our recent cup tie when younger members were cautioned to forget Leeds and Huddersfield because The Shaymen are their REAL derby match. Likewise the Forest fan I worked with who was astonished at the cheer that went around Valley Parade on the day they hosted his team, after the tannoy informed the crowd we were beating Gray's Athletic 3-0 in the 2006 Conference Play Offs. As a mere Tin Potter you have simply no understanding at all of the ties that bind us to our Football League brothers, still.:bdick::bdick::bdick:

Probably worth pointing out Brackley played fewer games in January than us. Or probably not

Glad to see them get a good old fashioned rogering by one of our brother Football League clubs. :bdick:
Amen, spiritual brother! One day we shall be rid of these hobby clubs & glorified sunday league outfits

I can't make up my mind really. On the one hand, a lot of bad things have happened on his watch - appointing Neil Tolson when Sinnott left (and not seeing Sinnott's resignation coming, when you could see it in his body language on the touchline), appointing Neil Young just five months after he'd retired (and going on record as saying Young was going nowhere, the day before he re-retired), and finally, appointing Matt Doughty, possibly the shittiest, most short-sighted decision of the lot. Jim Harvey you can forgive, as I don't think anyone could have envisaged just how shite he was.

He's presided over consecutive relegations, the first of which was avoidable (at least for a year), the second of which has been Hyde-esque. Next season in the Evo-Stik, crowds will fall, admission prices will surely have to be cut, and revenue will be severely curtailed. The club will simply drop out of the consciousness of all but the most hardened non-league tinpotters.

On the other hand, what's the alternative?

The other alternative is to stop feeling sorry for yourselves and get your shit together. Altrincham are the kind of non league club I can feel some respect for. Never tried to buy a place above their station, their success has always been honestly earned, on and off the field, always built on the back of a very decent support base. Now clubs like Altrincham are being squeezed down the pyramid and replaced by soulless vanity projects underwritten by some wanker with lots of spare change and nothing else to do. The Conference don't care, they'll happily swap a genuine outfit like Alty and their 1000 fans for a joke outfit like Brackley with 200. :£:£:£:£

Better than a club folding like yours and running up a load of debt and leavieng many small businesses out of pocket or even bankrupt. Least these tinpot clubs as you call them like flyde, forest green etc have never gone bust

Another big weekend of games

Telford vs Gloucester
Altrincham vs Halifax
Boston vs Harrogate
Chorley vs Darlington
Curzon vs BPA
Gainsborough vs Alfreton
Salford vs Flyde
Stockport vs Stalybridge
Worcester vs Tamworth.

Couple of big games at the top, maybe title deciding game for Fylde if the win in this one, but if they flog it, Kidderminster have a chance vs Stalybridge.

Think Chorley vs Darlo may be the bigger game, a loss for either in that could be crucial

We already have a game in hand on Fylde a Salford win would put us 9 points behind with 2 games in hand (Stalybridge and Brackley) with us still having to play Fylde. If Chorley and Darlo could draw that'd be great.

I don't think a draw would be a bad result for us tbh. We have hit a bit of a wall after a great start to the season. While our form isn't great, results against Stockport and Halifax since Christmas show we can scored goals and mix it with some of the better sides in the division.

Salford v Fylde should be a decent game two teams in good form. Hope Kiddy can close the gap and atleast make it interesting for the last couple of months of the season.

No bigger game at the bottom than Gainsborough v Alfreton. with the added side of its being Nickys 501st and final game in charge.

Going to be astrange day. I want to feel confident having already beat Gainsborough 4-0 and 4-1 and with the players wanting to do it for Nicky but we have been dire away from home.

Defeat is simply not an option.

Breaking news, read all about it- bankrolled Tin Pot fan sticks up for bankrolled Tin Pot clubs. :fl::£:£:£
So i take it you dont acknowledge clubs that are been bankrolled which amounts to most clubs even in top flight. Do you want all clubs to be self sufficient fan owned clubs. Sad to tell you such clubs often never hit the top, very few (only 2 spring to mind) get beyond non league. If forest green, and gateshead are so tinpot how come they have pro squads and good facilties. Far better pitches than your gaff been chowed up by rugby league club

You've not been following this have you? Why do you have pro squads? Let me ask you- why do you think you & Forest Green have pro squads? (This should be funny.....) We'll get onto your "good facilities" later.

Thankfully we don't need binoculars to see our chewed up pitch.

Sorry, when does Law go?
I really don't think you have a worry on the relegation front. The squad is too good. You weren't great at ours but hopefully the change of impetus will impact with the Law news.

You must be blind then if you cant see action at gateshead. No supporting pillars and if youa went to a premier league game views are far worse except you probably dont as they are all bankrolled clubs

Why do you think so we not in conference north for starters and to go for promotion. If you knew anything about non league football you would also realise that decent part time players are hard to get in the north east. I suppose you never want halifax to go pro do you

Don't worry about B2TF's 'beautiful mind' he is a devout idealist in that ALL clubs should operate in a Maoist state between grinding ineptitude and underachievement, losing to supposed tin potters whilst thieving their manager and players from a tin potter. This state is not static, however, because they should also become funded by a group of bankrollers themselves.

This is where a new depth of tinpottery is achieved by this special breed of club.

Binpots.

For this bankrolling is different. Worse. Their bankrollers are conned or naively are trapped in it. When of course the club B2TF used to support stops existing taking these involuntary bankrollers time, efforts, investment, employment and money for little to no return.

See B2TF not different from forest Green, or the Gas (who have a top notch nucleus of fans....the Torquay away following deserves a nod.) Or all us tin potters.

But worse.

We could indeed talk about facilities. Facilities bankrolled by the involuntary new set of bankrollers at Halifax 2008, the local tax payers. All at a time when local services for old folks homes, libraries and the such are being screwed over for austerity savings.

Hears to you Binpots.

Law leaves after tomorrows game. His contract with Burnley was due to start on February 1st but he has been allowed to stay for this game to allow a "smooth transition".

I hope your right but right now its very much in the balance IMO.

No doubt the tax payer picked up the tab for the old defunct halifax staffs wages as there redundancy will have come from the government. At least darlington paid of creditors.
