Not only not answered my question, you've raised a new one- why do YOU think you're not in the Conference North? I'll wait. :£
I bet you would rather be in the conference premier even if you were bankrolled. Or do you not give a toss what division your clubs in as long as no one is bankrolling it and its a self sustsined club unlike the previous debt ridden halifax

uurrggh game day and got to sit here waiting for a blooming sofa to be collected.....damn moving.

Think if we win today BPA's momentum will have gone as its then 5 defeats in last 6, but we have not done well vs bottom sides at home this season so far.

Although it's next week I'm looking forward to our game with you. Should be an interesting game with you guys looking for revenge from the last game and us in form at home.

i think if there is a game our team want to win out of all games left it will be vs you lot as we got utterly humiliated and i can see our manager showing that game a few times this next week.

but today is more important, will swap another heavy defeat next week for a win today, but i do think like at Darlo we may well give you a run for your money next week, depends if Daniel shaw plays, got another knock last week and been out most of season with niggling constant injuries but he improves our defence 100% when involved.

I'm not expecting it to be easy but as far as I'm aware you guys play attacking football which plays into our hands. We've struggled when we come up against teams who stick 11 men behind the ball all game.

The van came early so I can go which is good. Having to take couple of bags of moving stuff to game which I think takes me into that tinpot fan group finally as no league fans would take their home move stuff to a match!

We do try and attack, but our defence has improved last few games, lets us have a go or counter.

But you made mincemeat of our game plan last time so we may change it like we did vs fylde

Looking forward to a good game today against Darlington at home, lost 2-0 away but we played well and should have been 2 up before they scored. Lots of respect for the way they have been playing this season, just hoping our defence stands firm again today, hopefully another goal or two from the new boy Sampson and we play to our full potential. Be good if Fyld and Salford drew too.

I went out today instead of going to football. A few surprising results ie the Salford and Curzon games. Alty lose for the 21st time this season, extending the winless run to 15. I believe we missed a penalty too.

County struggled to get going against Stalybridge but still picked up the points, people might call it an ugly win but it's another win nonetheless and takes us to 10 unbeaten, I think

Our penalty looked soft from where I was, but there should've been one given a few minutes earlier so don't think anyone can complain.

A lousy game at Moss Lane with little to write home about, being mostly dull. The gulf was obvious at first, and we could just run at Alty. They did have a few very direct attacks in between and I actually reckon our keeper Johnson was the star man. My god their #5 was poor. Most of it seemed a lack of confidence on their behalf, albeit a really huge one. Case in point with that penalty. Pretty samey in the second half. We were the ones who happened to get the goal, and then put up well with Alty throwing everything at it in the final ten minutes. A nervous finale despite there being hardly a shot partaken, for which our defence can be credited with killing off any flow in the game and Johnson's presence between the sticks. I suspect this was a classic North Furby-style win for Heath, but it's a delight that we've finally gotten past one of the struggling Greater Manchester sides after losing to Curzon and Stalybridge in the most diabolical fashions. We never find it easy against these, so I'm glad as with any win.

Agree with all of that.

I think tiredness played a big factor today and we once again showed that we are a team that suits playing away rather than at Edgeley Park. Stalybridge were better than their position suggests and Gonzales had a better game than he ever did in a County shirt.

Onwards to Alfreton who have somehow managed to keep two clean sheets in the last few weeks.

Gainsborough 0-2 Alfreton (Westcarr 7,60)

What a way to say a tearful farewell to Nicky. We were absolutely superb today Best performance of the season without doubt. Mark Shelton was something else in midfield - he ran the show all game. Ever since Russ started to pick the team and we started to play a different system we have been vastly improved and look way more secure at the back. For two simple reasons we are not making any silly mistakes and we are not surrending possession so easilly and thus allowing the oppostion to launch attack after attack live we did in previous games.

Today we tore Gainsborough to shreds. They just couldnt cope with our slick passing and movement. No hoofball in sight for once and some of our interplay particularly in the first half was brillant. Gainsborough created absolutely nothing and we didnt look in any danger at all during the 90 minutes.

Our recent performances since Harrogate have been extremely positive and if this is a sign of things to come under Russ then I am excited to see what we can achieve. Very impressed with us today. No negatives at all for the first time all season.

As for Gainsborough they were laughably bad. They look doomed.

Went in the away end today and the fans were class all game. A very fitting goodbye to Nicky. Here is his very, very emotional pre match interview for anyone interested - http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p04rx0f4

No idea what our budget is. It's obviously extremely high because everyone seems to know about it apart from the fylde fans. Danny Rowe is our highest paid player (and rightly so) and he isn't being paid anywhere near as much as the Ebbsfleet player. It's easy to throw the 'fylde's budget' comment in our direction and I have no doubt we will have the top budget in the league but the amount of people on various forums that claim to know how much certain players at our club are on, is laughable. I know for a fact what Danny Rowe is on and that he's on our top earner.

We have spent big this year, no two ways about it but we've done extremely well the past 2 seasons when I don't believe we've spent what other clubs in our division have. We've spent big on players and also on our stadium and we are reaping the rewards with the attendances. Contrary to belief this hasn't always been the case though. Our chairman will only spend money on players that he thinks he's getting value for. He doesn't throw money at anybody and we've had many successful seasons when we've hardly brought it anyone. Many clubs in this division spend big but we are the only ones that get tarnished with that brush. We have lost players in the past because we refuse to pay them what other clubs will. Harry Winter that went to Chorley from us wanted more money, we wasn't prepared to pay him what Chorley were as he would of been our highest paid player. Again these are facts and I'm not trying to criticise Chorley or be in denial about our spending power but there's a lot of clubs in our division that spend big
Bloody hell, if Harry wanted a wage rise at Chorley, it must have been a low wage, highest paid player here is around 250 quid a week!

The standard of teams in this shit hole league must be at an all time low if we are 6th. :fl: We've completely been shit 8 games out of every 10. I predict an embarrassing season end for Fylde if Billy No Mates ever gets his Ferriby Allstars flying. :bdick:

Good to see a nice send off for Law. Not liked by our fans and the club seemingly - but had a few dealings with Nicky over the years and he is a nice bloke and football thro and thro. Good to see he went off on a good note.
Trinity tore us to shreds laughably the week before and then we go and win 3-0 away. A really competitive division on its day - which another weekend of results has highlighted.

Unless you are a binpot outfit with illusions of grandeur than everything is black.

Why did Nicky leave? Didn't realise he had been at Alfreton for so long.

CFC4LIFE,
Just seen the highlights of our game at Chorley. Looked like we shaded it on clear chances, though as you said, pretty even overall. How did we not get a penalty though, when your keeper sent Thompson into orbit? Max Whitlock would have been proud of the Full Pike with somersault it caused Thommo to undertake!

Frustrating game on sat. We work our socks off in two extremely tough games to ease any relegation worries, then mess it up in easy back to back home games vs bottom 3 sides and now have to look over shoulder again.

Even match, end to end with both sides having spells of possesion, but they always looked more dangerous than us when in attack.

BPA won't go down. They have energy, desire, fight and passion...with teamwork and fan support........i don't associate them aspects with sides who drop.

Regarding bpa. Haven't seen them since we drubbed em 4-0 at the shay (the worst team I've seen all season) but we had all the attributes you just listed and the quality last season but still went down. It can happen, especially if other teams are improving like yourselves and alfreton, much like ourselves, southport, Torquay, guiseley and boreham wood last year. At the end of the season, a team who has worked their socks off will undeservedly go down and I see that being bpa due to them not really picking up many bonus points against better teams unlike some other teams down there.

Very true, but I see Telford and Worcester with their off field problems, lack of morale and internal issues as prime sides for bpa to catch.

Your argument is also right in that bpa left themselves with so much to do they cannot afford another bad spell

Curzon want to go full-time within the next 5 years (near the bottom of the article):

http://www.planetfootball.com/in-depth/curzon-ashton-latest-non-league-club-big-ambitions/

Deluded or ambitious? Who knows. Ashton-under-Lyne is a small town, and already has two clubs, with several others within a radius of about 4 miles (Hyde, Mossley, Stalybridge and Droylsden), not to mention City just 5 miles away.

certainly deluded. The just havent got the fan base to turn full time.

Pitch inspection at 1 for our game with Stalybridge. Need this to be on so we don't get a backlog of fixtures later in the season. Anyone on here near that way know what the weather is like?
