Don't you worry, we're coming down.
Our hapless bunch have lost 12 out of the last 16 games, with no sign of things changing anytime soon......we need a miracle to stay up!!

There's enough space for both of you to join us down here next season. Sparrow - we'd be unsegregated right? I don't want to have to stand in that godforsaken open terrace down the side.

One plus im told segregation in the new stand will accommodate up to 800-1000 people. So there wont be any ticket problems or people moaning about crappy views.

Wealdstone 2-4 Ebbsfleet United (Att: 785)

Before I say anything I have to say that I really enjoyed today's game. Decent atmosphere for a Saturday game and full of incident which I'll go into detail below:

Even game first 10 minutes, Danny Green should have put is in front but blazed over from 10 yards. Having stopped out Dave Winfield from a header only a minute earlier, North could do nothing to stop Winfield's 2nd header to put Ebbsfleet one up. After that, for the next 20 minutes it was all Ebbsfleet. Andy Drury hit the crossbar when it looked easier to score, Danny Kedwell missed a great heading chance and Anthony Cook was stopped 1-on-1 by North. However for the last 10 minutes we managed to wrestle a foothold in the game and some really well worked interplay preceded Eddie Oshodi's (I'm sure it was intended as a cross) shot to ricochet off Nathan Ashmore's feet, hitting Jack Powell before crossing the white line to equalise.

Second half was full of action, a lot of which occurred in the first 5 minutes. Within 2 minutes, Ebbsfleet had restored their lead. Ryheem Sheckleford didn't get close enough to Marvin McCoy in time for the ex-Stone to put in a fantastic cross which Kedwell duly dispatched. Kedwell must love coming to Ruislip because I'm sure he's scored in all 3 visits he's made here.

We equalised 60 seconds later, good work from Danny Green and a cross-cum-shot lead to Jonny Wright sliding in at the back post to score. However, again another 60 seconds later Ebbsfleet were back in front when a cross from the left hand side cannoned off David Hunt and into the goal.

Talking point for discussion was whether Anthony Cook should have walked. He'd gone down off the ball with what looked like an incident with Jonny Wright. 10 seconds later he suddenly got up and aggressively barged into Wright when he had possession. Plenty of handbags but I think yellow was the right decision, just.

After that, we'd have sooooo much of the ball, Ebbsfleet decided to do what Gordon Bartlett loves to do (and often ends in catastrophic results) by sitting on a lead and dropping deep. The last 10 minutes were almost exclusively played in Ebbsfleet's half but save for a couple of shots we didn't really test Ashmore anywhere near as much as we should have. Ebbsfleet ultimately saw us off on the counter attack. Darren McQueen's shot saved by North but Sam Deering was there to put in the rebound.

Was following on Twitter, sounded like a typical game for us. Solid in parts, but not good enough at the back when inviting the pressure on a lead! Thankfully managed to see it out and extend the lead, even better with Maidenhead conceding a late equaliser. Still feel it's Maidenhead's title mind, don't think we're good enough. No league game for two weeks now either.

Many Fleet there?

Good comeback from St Albans to get a 2-2 draw with Maidenhead. Over 1000 at Clarence park again. I would love to see them get a playoff place.

Had bit of a sticky spell but a decent result as you say.

Decent turnout, easily the biggest following we've seen here this season. 200 would be my estimate, although there were at least dozen wrong'uns who were stood on the side we were attacking in the first half. :told:

Not too bad that, unfortunately we do have a few wrong'uns, although some of yours I've seen on Twitter haven't exactly been gracious in defeat!

Impressed with how our crowds (especially away) have improved since coming down, although we've attracted some absolute idiots.

Yeah, it's not something that surprises me although I know to not respond. Some of ours just don't have a clue, some of the bites are great. By the looks of it, one of ours actually took the time to edit your Wikipedia page with something.

What's happening up in Northfleet Joe?
There's quite a meltdown on the Fleet forum over Macca letting Stuart Lewis join us on loan......seems like its the final straw for a lot of Fleet fans.

Really... interesting. I figured he wasn't a regular up there hence them letting us have him.

Lewis was our player of the season last season. Passionate, eager, nice bloke and a very consistent player to boot.

Struggled with injury early on this season but has been out of the reckoning since his return for reasons only McMahon knows. Persists with playing his undroppables who aren't up to it.

The guy is an absolute prick. Unfortunately he is the "chosen one" and won't lose his job, regardless of whether we go up or not.

Very best of luck to Stuey. Pains me to say this, but I hope he plays a vital part in keeping you up.

I wanted McMahon out anyway, but this is just an absolute piss take. The guy has well and truly lost the plot.

Elliot Benyon is out for a few weeks with a shoulder injury which is devastating as we have no other striker who can come in and replace him.

Weston away today so I'm fully expecting the game to be called off once I make it into London.

You guessed it. Called off. WSM always seem to have loads of games called off.

Can't blame them today, it was a harsh frost in the South West last night where temperatures were -3/-4 at the time of the inspection. Re-arranged for March 7th which is excellent as I'm off work on that Tuesday.

Weston, Truro and Bath away in March. Hope fellow Stones supporters start saving up now.

Also, Concord's chairman having a meltdown on Twitter is a sight to behold.

Considering the current state of our ground, i don't like to be critical of opposition stadiums. But i don't understand why Ebbsfleet built such a big stand with so few seats. Just seems bizarre to spend 2.5-3 million on a stand that only holds just over a 1000 people.

Looks very, very similar to the seated bit at Dartford, although it's the same architects who did Princes Park, so no surprises I guess!

A few of our fans have moaned about what you mentioned above, but this is to be the main part of the club. This is where will be looking to earn the money. The two stands behind the goals, I believe, will hold just under 2,000 with another 1,000 (I think) seater stand the opposite side to the one being built. For the level we're at, that is more than adequate IMO.

Margate's sugar daddy walked away a year ago and left them in a right mess. Their manager said in a interview a few weeks back that money is that bad they're having to get by with a Ryman South budget.

As for Whitehawk, nothing has been made known, but considering all their high earners have all upped and left (excluding Torres), to be replaced with cheaper options......i think its safe to say the money has gone.

Genuinely gutted to see Gosport and Margate in their positions atm, looks like Whitehawk and Concord will stay up. :(
