We beat Dagenham 2-1 with goals from Armand Gnanduillet and Paul McCallum. Crowd was 938 with 326 away fans. Dean Cox got 77mins.

After our youngsters struggle to impose themselves in the first half, our first teamers dominated large spells of the second.

Only Gillingham left at home now on Saturday.

We were beating Walsall 3-0 and then Sheridan made 9 subs and it's now 3-2.

The bloke hasn't got a clue #SheridanOut

Looks like he's playing Aborah as an attacking midfielder this season which is going to be tremendous fun.

Nathan Tyson is in the Pavis too.

One would presume we were rather shit, although ironically, both of our consolation goals came from a youth player with virtually half the youth team on the pitch.

We had Alan Smith on the pitch by then, he'd have struggled against your under-11s.

Lost 2-0 against Coventry. More trialists played and yeah, maybe you lot predicting a relegation battle may end up being spot on afterall.
Beat Weston Super Mare 8-1, suppose it's some confidence there for the forward players. We'll still get relegated as the worst team ever right?
Come on Baz, we can make the play-offs now!!

Lost 1-0 to Mickleover. 7 first teamers playing but all 7 who will mostly feature on the bench at best. Worrying to see them just shouting at each other and watching Chapman tell the youngsters off all game was hilarious considering he didn't pick out a single pass to a Mansfield shirt all game. None of them will be in the starting 11 V Newport that's for sure.

I know it's only Pre Season but the amount of squabbling they were doing on the pitch does not look a good sign.
And we beat Weston 8-1! Seriously, wouldn't worry too much. Proves that judging prospects by pre-season form is pointless. Haven't the faintest clue how the County v Mansfield game will pan out!

We won 2-1 at MVV Maastricht to finish off our Netherlands training camp last night. Promising result with both teams playing what looks to be something like their first XI.

On our forum the standard of the second tier Dutch football was likened to League 1 and I think Maastricht came 3rd in it last year, so looks good!

This will need checking but I believe David Goodwillie has scored in every pre season match with the exception of Weymouth, where he only played 25 minutes. Fingers crossed DA is able to continue getting that from him for the season!

Not something you hear/read every day
Yep, Villa were good last night. Grealish practically ran the midfield on his own first half. They've got a pacey side with tons of confident ball players. Way better than Ipswich on Saturday.

We got our heads round it s bit more second half and our pressing actually meant we saw more of the ball. As Svh says, we were a bit unlucky not to score but we were well beaten.

Our pre season is over as our last game against Coventry has been called off due to injuries for both sides.

Lost 3-2 to Gainsborough tonight, apparently looked good first half playing 4-4-2 with Scott Vernon on trial, 2-1 up at half time. Second half took him off, changed system and players.

Is pre-season over yet?

A fairly youngish team beat Bognor 4-1 last night.

Good news is Jones appears fit after playing his first 90 of the season so we have a fit goalkeeper. Bad news is he made balls up and dropped a catch from a corner which led to a soft goal.

Bristol City away on Sat to open their new stand or something, and that's us done until the opener with Carlisle.

Beat a Cardiff XI 3-0 tonight. Lee Holmes and a brace from Robbie Simpson the source of the goals.

7/7 wins this pre season, only conceding 2. However, not all good news as the Cardiff kids apparently became more interested in injuring our players with Holmes and our captain Jordan Moore-Taylor having to be carried off after poor challenges.

Stupid, jumped up, taffy bastards.

Are you bringing your first team squad? I'm assuming you are being close to the season.

I believe so yes. I doubt they will resemble a football league 1st team squad though. Don't be surprised if you tonk them.

Lost 2-0 at Bradford. We weren't outplayed, but were just too slow and indecisive, wouldn't have scored if we'd played until midnight. We will not score enough goals to worry the top half of this league unfortunately. A distinct lack of pace in this team.

Releasing Asamoah is already looking like a big error.

It sounded quite promising in the first half when we were in possession, but like you say I don't think we were threatening enough in front of goal.

I'm sure that'll change once the season gets underway.

Beat Gillingham 2-0 with goals from Jordan Bowery and Jay Simpson, but the game was abandoned after 80mins after Gillinghams Lee Martin picked up a very nasty and seriously broken ankle. Wish him a speedy recovery.

We've had a sickness bug in our squad, we had Robbie Weir, Liam Kelly, Sean Clohessy and Callum Kennedy all missing because of it.

Crowd was 706 with 147 from Gillingham.

All means nothing, as long as we can have a clean bill of health for next week.

Quite promising in terms of keeping the ball. Never threatened them.

I'm not confident about scoring goals. We've played 3 games this week and scored a big fat zero. Created virtually nothing in the 2 games I've seen.

There's no speed in our play, too predictable with no options to change things.

We got spanked 3-0 at Lincoln. 3 down at HT against our 1st team. Can't defend crosses or set pieces to save our lives. Going to be in another dog fight this year I fear. Just hope the board keep there word and sack dull Davis once we are under achieving after 10 games.

Don't know wether to laugh or cry. I'm sure the managment and players were talking promotion back in May. Wonder if thats still the case now?
