To rub salt in the wounds, we've arranged a friendly away to Sutton. Maidstone will be next.

I thought it was the higher placed club that were in the away team.........Still it'll be nice for Ebbsfleet fans to see a National League ground.......

We've also arranged a friendly against a Fulham XI for Saturday 9th July

Still scratching my head as to why we've actually agreed to this mate. Talk about kick in the bollocks.

Not much announced yet. We're away at Stalybridge Celtic on July 16th as part of a transfer deal, and we have Bolton visiting on July 23rd. We were meant to play a friendly at Tadcaster Albion during the season but their pitch was flooded so that might get resurrected.

Just to highlight the shambolic, embarrassing and unprofessional lack of communication from Alfreton at the minute we have found out about our first friendly via the Ilkeston website. Away at Ilkeston FC on Wednesday 3rd August. Sure Mr Hearn will be absent!

No Press release or web site updates since the 4th of May when our Press Officer left. Shocking. The only info is from being drip fed from the chairmans twitter account! :ffs:

I have no problem with this, really. We've done it for a number of teams for league games in the past - Sunderland and Man City spring to mind, and it didn't help either of them - so considering this is just a friendly and the ground will be full of gobshites anyway, let them have it. I'm looking forward to sitting in the Cowsheds like old times :)

If giving Liverpool the Kop helps our finances then I'm happy with that. Would be surprised though if Liverpools first team show up.
What really pisses me off about this fixture is all the Birkenheader full Liverpool kit wankers turning up with their full Liverpool kit kids. I'm not going, it's too embarrassing being outnumbered by them!

Only one confirmed for us, which is our first pre-season away at Grantham in the Lincs Senior Cup. Supposed to be at SB but we switched it to give our pitch a bit more time.

Gainsborough Trininty have been mentioned, and our annual Lincoln United game will depend on whether we both get through our senior cup games or not because we'll meet in the next round if so.

We haven't officially announced any yet or released any info about season tickets, probably still a bit early for stuff like that..

Both Shortwood (29/7) and Swindon Supermarine (2/8) have announced we're playing them though.

Not sure I can make another one of these long away trips :D

Yeah, shocking isn't it, arranging a friendly against a team whose ground you can see from your own!

If Rodborough Common could get a team together we would probably be playing there as well.

On a serious note, we normally have 3-4 friendlies against league teams, I wonder who the club are lining up this time round. I wouldn't be surprised to see Swindon feature, possibly one of the Bristol teams, plus maybe one of the bigger teams from the Midlands.

Edit: The club have just confirmed that we will play Cardiff City at home on Wednesday 13th July at 1945, and home to Birmingham City on Saturday 16th July at 1500.

Our first home friendly is Reading. We also seem to have Cambridge at home (taken from their OS apparently).

Someone in work who "supports" Liverpool and Tranmere was talking about this as if it was our biggest fixture in years. I couldn't really give a shit about seeing us play a friendly against a load of 17 year olds who'll probably end up playing for Carlisle in a couple of years having never never made a first team appearance. Can't complain if it sells tickets though.

Last friendly against Liverpool pretty much sold out if I remember correctly, 14,000 odd. Although Steve Gerrard was playing.

At an average of, say, £15 a ticket that would be a cool £210k in the bank, plus the sponsorship etc and all the other matchday revenue. I don't think it'll be as well attended as that though, given the high ticket prices, but it's still going to be a nice little earner. I might pop along just to see the ground full for a change!

We have a glorious schedule. Away games at Deal Town, Folkestone, Greenwich Borough, Sutton, Billericay and Thamesmead Town as well as away at Dartford for Ryan Hayes' testimonial.

Will probably go to Billericay, Folkestone and Greenwich as they're new grounds for me.
