Buxton v Darlington this afternoon too. Might go along if the weather clears up a bit.

We lost 3-2 in the end. Wasn't there so can't comment but the second half team was made up completely of trialists. Unsure on Rendell as he did an interview saying he was fit and looking forward to playing again.

Good entertaining first half against a very strong QPR side. Game died 2 minutes into the second half when young Ben Harrison suffered a horrific leg break, after that no one wanted to put a foot in and I don't blame them. It was so bad it took nearly half an hour to get him off the pitch, even with 5 paramedics and two orthopedic doctors on hand. Wish the lad well, but it's going to be a long time out for him.

Chester are playing local team Christleton in a T20 match today. I hope Worsnop doesn't get the gloves.

Not sure. It's been mentioned but depends on what time I get away from work. Are you?

Reading, Lincoln United and Crewe are probably the three I'll do.

Looked pretty good I thought. Good feet, quick, looks like he weighs 8 stone when wet. I was most impressed by some of the youngsters, Leo Smith and Jordan Davies. Looked good prospects. Curtis Tilt looked decent and Powell looked better than I expected. Lots of pace in the team.

Hard to judge anything from a game like that, should have been more than 8 really. Good run around in the sun I guess.

Time for our annual thrashing by Huddersfield Town tomorrow evening. Their first game, our second.

This is the best pre-season line-up of games we've had for a long time:

Sun 10th 5.00pm Friendly Home Watford
Sat 16th 3.00pm Friendly Away Gosport Borough
Tue 19th 7.45pm Friendly Home Leyton Orient
Sat 23rd 3.00pm Friendly Home Swindon Town
Tue 26th 7.45pm Friendly Home Luton Town
Fri 29th 7.45pm Friendly Home AFC Wimbledon

Hoping we can win the league in pre-season like Grimsby did.

The thrashing by a strong Liverpool side commences tomorrow evening at Prenton Park. Also sad is the fact it'll be our biggest home gate of the season by far, 10,000 tickets sold and rising quickly. A lot of Tranmere fans are avoiding it because the ground will just be full of Kopites.

We managed to hang on to a 0-1 defeat against Huddersfield. They did thump the woodwork three times too though but all from distance shots. A good training session for both teams.
