3026 at the San Sincil, 21 Accy.

Over three thousand for a Checkatrade Trophy game on a wet Tuesday night at the start of December. Bonkers.

Not like Farman to get caught out from a long range shot, being too far off his line...

Anyhow, sounds like a right corker of a game.

We're away to Blackpool tonight, KO at 7 for some totally bizarre reason.

So the 25 odd that would have gone have been put off by an earlier KO.

Hopefully we lose - though we are unbeaten in 11, so would be nice to keep that going

560 something fans was pleasing to see. Wonder when that bellend Harvey will wake up and realise.

Anyone listen to TalkSport's discussion on it yesterday (between 5pm and 6pm if anyone wants a listen)?

In short, and as expected, the PL fans were coming on saying it's good that 'the small clubs' get to potentially see some first team PL players, even if match fitness wise they're not at their best and that's it's also good for their U21's to play with them for a game or three. Also mentioned that there's no reserve league in the PL anymore for their first teamers to get fitness from if coming back from injury / not played for a while.

Then the L1 and L2 fans were ringing in saying that 'it's our cup competition' i.e. for L1 and L2 clubs only. Lower league fans aren't interested in seeing 'names' from PL sides - they go to matches to watch their teams bar the odd anomaly i.e. FA Cup 3rd Round onwards, and that PL Clubs already throw fringe and younger players into their League Cup and early round of the FA Cup, so why do they need another competition to do so?

Well Leicester played £41,000,000 worth of players on Tuesday and no only a few hundred Scunny fans wanted to see them!

Its become even more farcical, Stoke regularly play first teamers in it and Chelsea I think had Batshuayi, Kenedy and a couple of others playing from the first team, Chalobah I think.

Shows what a joke the Prem is these days if that Leicester line up cost £41m.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
This comp will go on regardless, it’s a prem funded thing, but nearly all games bar lincoln are not competative now anyway as managers and players think same as fans.......only chairmen and Lincoln bother.

I’d like fan pressure to turn to government than fa or efl in making sure b teams in league never happen.............don’t trust any of that shower or owners (most of which have zero attachment to lower league clubs) it’s a dangerous time with a few managers and owners in that top flight quite happy to ruin the English game for own benefit

Given the attendances Lincoln have brought to this competition, Harvey is gonna be buying a season ticket there... he might as well do, he's probably the only person left in the country who doesn't have a Lincoln season ticket.

I am optimistic that we will set an all time low away attendance for the game this evening, we aren't running a coach to the game so even those who feel it is their moral duty to attend each game may be dissuaded, I predict our following will be lower than 50 and it could be as low as 35...just those who can't miss any game. Hopefully we will end this sorry charade and bow out, allowing us to concentrate fully on the remaining 20 games and our place in the Football League...we have been to Wembley in the last two seasons, we don't need a third in a row, it is getting boring going there!

Rowe makes his debut tonight, Anderson plays because he's suspended for Saturday and Farman in goal with Vickers injured against Luton. Bostwick at CB with Whitehouse in CM with Woodyard

We could probably have given Rhead or Green a further rest but haven't and other than that, there's not really much room for manoeuvre.

Can't see Rochdale being too fluent on their pitch tonight!

I am ashamed to say that we took 71 to Yeovil, in a crowd of 1395, but at least we are out of this wretched competition. Back to the serious business of the League...and the small matter of Swindon away on Saturday.
