St Albans did well first half but the Wood were too strong.

Least they got a goal!

Who is the lowest ranked team left in?

There is 3 step 4 sides

Hyde United who won 2-0 at League rivals Scarborough.
Heybridge Swifts who won 4-2 at league rivals Haringey
Ossett Town who drew 1-1 at Solihull and have a replay.

Bignot's declared that we're going full time on Monday after today's horror show. Angry scenes at the end.

Our fans were actually chanting for Andy Halls to be sent off when he committed a foul and then booed when he was only booked for it.

How can you suddenly become full time? Isn't there contracts to honour etc.?

Was a strange scene seeing your team have a huddle at the end of the game and just your fans standing waiting. Then while walking away from the ground just hearing mass boo's and chants of "what a waste of money".

Fair play to your fans who clapped Elton on his motm. And clapped our players off at the end.

I see a stoppage time equaliser from Brackley forced a replay against Billericay. I hope they win their replay.

Not at all surprised Macclesfield made short work of Stourbridge. They almost messed up a two man advantage against us.

Sounded like a decent effort from Buxton too against Gateshead.
Yeah buxton put up a fight. Never stopped trying for a equaliser right up to final whistle. Very vocal set of fans behind the goal

Don't know how it'll work to be honest. We're a bit of a weird hybrid model at the moment with some players on 52 week contracts and some not. Most players train three days a week with some asked to do more etc etc.

I thought we outclassed Halifax today and should have won by a bigger margin. Norburn was outstanding.

Four unbeaten since the switch to 442 and signs that we are finally getting our act together.
We were poor but I'd suggest the game was lost last week, rather than this, with the cards that excluded Tom Denton and Matty Kosylo, our 2 talismen and main hopes. Tranmere, I thought, were a lesser side than I expected them to be and a better team would have won by 4 or 5 against a team so far off the pace as we were. Nevertheless, you were visibly the better team so good luck in the next round.

Correct, first team since Falmouth Town in 1969. Home to the Gills please.

Cornwall's FA Cup highlights

1962-63 - Falmouth Town reach the first round - losing 2-1 at home to Oxford United

1967-68 - Another first round for Falmouth Town and a 5-2 loss at Peterborough United

1969-70 - Two years on and Falmouth again make round one, and again lose to Peterborough - this time 4-1 at home

1998-99 - St Blazey reach the fourth qualifying round, where they lose to Camberley Town

Just credit where it’s due, no matter what I think of our own performance you lot were good. Deserved to win by a few more, would be daft to deny it.

I know it's early days, and clearly the side there at the moment isn't his fault, but I'd be surprised if Bignot is the answer.... reputation built on nothing much in my opinion. Hope you don't get relegated mind, far too many big clubs in Conf North these days already... how's a tinpot club like ours supposed to progress with so much big competition

Maidenhead 2-1 Havant

Another win ground out despite playing with no recognised striker yet again and having to play Christian Smith at centre mid for the best part of 80 minutes after an injury to Comley (it looked like a precautionary sub as Devonshire doesn't care a great deal about the cups, hopefully nothing worse).

Great finishes from Barratt and Upward for us. Three goal line clearances to thwart Havant who I wouldn't have begrudged a replay.

We really need a recognised striker and I'm really surprised we don't have one yet. Clifton puts in a shift up front but he's a centre mid and can't offer enough of a physical presence or goalscoring threat. Good job our midfielders produced a couple of great finishes from the edge of the box today.

We're in a monumental mess and it's all down to the Burr/McCarthy axis

First time for a while i've enjoyed both the beer and football on offer. No doubt Tranmere's task was made easier with Halifax's most talked about pair suspended. Three quality goals won it in the end, but mid way through the 1st half it looked like Tranmere were self imploding giving away a daft penalty and a pretty soft OG.
Knowing our luck we'll probabley get drawn away somewhere really crap like Stevenage in the next round.

There's not exactly any ties in there that would excite us. Blackburn at home is probably the biggest game we could get (feels like yesterday they were below us in the league!), but I'd rather an easier tie at home or a new away ground.

Problems such as this are ALWAYS traced back to poor leadership in the boardroom. The buck has to stop there.

Quite right B2TF . No one who is sure who is running the club. The board are pretty clueless and Mark Maguire possibly/probably is running the show. He has mixed popularity. He managed to increase our budget by £100k (mainly through the sale of Sam Hughes to Leicester), but McCarthy has spunked it all on 2-year deals for journeymen no-hopers. Really don't know how we'll survive this season.

Radio Cumbria is a good listen - Chairman Paul Casson is in the co-commentator seat.

Zigger Zagger, Zigger Zagger, Oi, Oi, Oi.
Agreed. Been a very interesting listen.

2-1 Shaw Lane with around 10 minutes left. Damien Reeves with the strike.

I hope Shaw Lane hold on, only because we play them in the league 2 days after 1st round day

Anywhere with good ale houses would get me excited, Oldham hasn't got any but would be a laugh.

Replay was like our game against Woking very dominant but no end product. We need Cheek back and quick. Not to far for the replay.
