Shrewsbury away. The only positive I can think of is at least it will be a 3pm Saturday game

FFS, we have to play Fylde again? At least our attackers will be used to their defence, having trained with most of it last season. Could end up being a lively one. I'm sure Dan Bradley will be up for it.

Of course we got Peterborough. 79 different balls, but it was always going to be the Posh. Again.

WTF IS A MACCLES-FLID??

Anyway whoever pub side they are I'm sure the chance for their postmen, window cleaners and drug dealers to come and play at a proper Football League side will be a GLORIOUS DAY in their history.

Oh and DSL. :fing:

Presuming we can conquer Dagenham (as if), I feel that our game v Gillingham and yours v Peterborough is what personifies the magic of the cup. Two plucky non-league sides set to take on the big boys and cause a massive FA Cup upset

Cambridge United away. Local-ish, new ground and kind of winnable not the worst draw.

We're all Macc fans on 4th November...

Terrible draw for Rovers, think we'll have to concentrate on making the play-offs.

Cheltenham away. I don’t particularly care about winning the replay with Enfield now.
Are you mad? Cheltenham one of the best away days in the country..

Expect us to be playing at Woking... interesting tie as the clubs have never met. Shame we are so shite or we'd have taken a decent following... as it is it will be around 350 I imagine.

Beckford and Bunn etc could have a field day hard to judge the conference. We lost in pre season to Macc as an indicator.

Concord is a weird one, I think I'd be more fearful playing them than Woking due to the 'giant killing' (lol) factor, whereas I don't think Woking are gonna be very star struck playing Bury.. could work in our favour.

The only place in the draw that is worse than Dagenham and we draw them away, if we win tomorrow. At least them fast trains exist so you can get out quicker!

Garry Hill says this is the worst Bury side he has ever seen.

Used our get out of jail free card vs Concord, we basically lived in their final third the whole of the second half, they were defending for their lives. Then they hit the post in a one on one last minute, very lucky to still be here.

Should have enough to see them off tomorrow though (famous last words)

Not the draw we wanted at all, very very tough game. Accrington Stanley spanked us 3-0 in the cup last year

Had it been the other way round, there would have been a good chance of Truro v Charlton being televised.

Not the worst draw for them though

Not a bad draw for us. Weekend in Morecambe, we've never lost there and it's a winnable game.

Bring it on.

Hopefully we can get the job done tonight. Not a terrible draw for us (or ETU), and a chance of getting a replay or even a win, I reckon.

As soon as the dreaded Peterborough United came out I knew number 49 was next. Thats something like 6 times in the last 12 years we have been drawn away to them and we have only got one draw so far. I always did hate Dean Saunders !!!

We were poor but I'd suggest the game was lost last week, rather than this, with the cards that excluded Tom Denton and Matty Kosylo, our 2 talismen and main hopes. Tranmere, I thought, were a lesser side than I expected them to be and a better team would have won by 4 or 5 against a team so far off the pace as we were. Nevertheless, you were visibly the better team so good luck in the next round.

To be the honest we have struggled in front of goal all season, partly due to the balance of the side being wrong (this has improved since we started playing with a winger) and due to a severe lack of confidence ( I honestly feel last season`s Play off defeat hit the players more than we thought it would. Certainly Cook and Jennings are only shadows of the players they were last season). If you look at the players we up front and their scoring records they should really have scored far more than the paltry amount they have. The recent game against Chester being a prime example. Towards the end of last season when we were scoring for fun we would have won that game, given the number of chances we had, by 3 or 4 but this season we missed every opportunity we had to score. We are improving however and the confidence has started slowly to return. I think you might see a far better Tranmere when we play at The Shay again at the end of the season. I certainly hope so because if we get on anything approaching the form we showed after Christmas last year we can almost certainly play ourselves back into contention. It`s not like we are a long way behind.

Very good. You'll certainly see a far better Town team a week on Saturday, when we'll have Batman & Robin back in the side. :bdick:

The performance on Saturday was similar to last season's form, aside from a wobble midway through the first half. Would have been good enough to beat most teams at this level.

While I think Kysolo will cause our back four problems with his pace, Denton is actually the kind of player McNulty likes coming up against. It is the little tricky ones he struggles with.

Been there a bunch of times, wanted somewhere new or a home draw.
