When has any Tranmere fan ever said that going out of the FA Cup didn't matter? Of course it does.

We were more concerned with avoiding injuries to be honest mate a bit of win money would have been nice but no one gives a flying fig about the cups this year its all about the top 5, come jan being in the cup, trophy and league would mean 2 -3 extra games a month we dont need

Other than the very good beer tent in the fan zone at Prenton park, there's only really Gallagher's pub in Birkenhead thats worth a visit.

If we got to round 1 i'd like Wigan or Oldham. Knowing our luck we'd get somewhere really crap and dull like Scunthorpe.
Cock and Pullet? Haven’t been recently, but did a decent selection of beers.

To my shame, despite living relatively local, never been to a pub in Halifax and won’t be going to this game. Perhaps if Halifax get a home draw after knocking us out...

If Rovers were to go through can’t decide between an away ground where I’ve not seen us play up north, Blackburn, Wigan, Blackpool or a draw that will see us at home against one of the weaker sides left in the competition and hopefully progress.

Nobody wants their team to lose, but tbh I was fairly indifferent about last season’s FA Cup. Due to our financial issues, we need to progress, but not confident we’ll progress.

We always get shit qualifying draws. Fylde away isn't the worst we've had but it could have been better.

Let's hope we unleash all the pent up rage against Fleetwood from the 98 point season and batter them out of sight in an unstoppable 1-0 win.

Herts derby - St Albans v Boreham Wood.

Can't wait to see pictures of the B Wood invasion.

As for us: it's less embarrassing to lose to Aldershot than half of the teams in the draw so I'll take it.

Cock and Pullet was decent a while back, but has gone downhill on my most recent visits.

Fair enough. Didn't and don't agree with that sentiment personally though.
We need to progress this year, probably more so than in the last few years.

More often than not, we lose in Essex or against Essex sides in the FA Cup, especially at this stage.

That's that with over for another year.

Oh my.

FC United down to 9 before half time v Stockport. The referee? Scott Simpson. The exact same one who reduced to us to 9 on Saturday v Stourbridge...before half time?

Abnormal or what..

I'm listening to FCUM's radio commentary and even they say both reds were correct. FCUM also have the worst disciplinary record in the division. So no, it doesn't seem abnormal.

They must be dragging them in off the streets at Billericay with tonight's attendance of 1,024.
Apparently It's the clubs 57th biggest on record, and 11th biggest F.A Cup home attendance.

I was there last night, both red cards were correct decisions.

FCUM were immense once they went ahead though, they defended for their lives and gave everything.

I couldn’t help but feel sad watching Stockport the way they were, as much as they bombarded the FCUM goal, you didn’t quite feel it would be their night, the keeper pulled off at least 4 good saves.

That could very well be my team soon.

I know South Shields have been on once already but should stick us on live streaming, we've only been given a piddling 400 tickets which will sell out on the first day.

Go on Auntie Beeb, put the lads on :bye:

Would have thought 4000 tickets would have been a more appropriate amount

Good, I've got mates who've already spent a stupid amount on train fares for this tie.
On the face of it, seems a bit mean for ‘moneybags Sutton’ who benefited significantly financially from last season’s Cup run to deny Paulton this opportunity. Doubtless there’s another side to this, but unlikely inconvenience to fans the reason Sutton refused to move the fixture?

This is the reason given for refusing to move the fixture https://www.suttonunited.net/dos-injury-position-fa-cup/

Not just fans, but the team itself. The fee each club would have received would have been £1000. I don't how much cancelling planned coach travel combined with rebooking a coach and then booking a hotel would be for your average match day squad but we're not a rich club, certainly not one to throw away money (yes, I know last seasons FA Cup money. Most of it which hasn't already been spent on things such as floodlights and changing rooms etc is being kept aside for future necessary investments). Again you can look at the situation and mention that we were happy to be on TV against Leeds and Arsenal. The situation is different, the Paulton game would have been streamed online not broadcast on television (plus I doubt ourselves, Leeds or Arsenal were given a choice) Leeds was a 2pm Sunday afternoon kickoff where they knew they were going to be playing at the time in South West London the day after the draw (we of course had to get past Wimbledon in a replay) and Arsenal was on a Monday evening in the same city the match day after a European week. And in both circumstances both of our opponents knew within a day they would be playing us at the time they would be playing us

I genuinely think Paulton have been stupid in this. Why announce anything on Twitter in the first place (interestingly the two tweets announcing the lack of coverage have been deleted)? It was silly, unprofessional and caused heat that should never have happened. As mentioned above the fee for each club is £1000, a decent sized away support would cover, or come close to covering that, in terms of gate money, programme sales, food and drink etc (despite what Paulton Rovers ever so professional Twitter account tweets). Our crime seems to be wanting to win this Cup tie

Fair enough. Perhaps the BBC should have made their interest known at at earlier stage too.

I agree. It was obviously one of the more romantic ties of the round (one of the lowest ranked teams at home to one of the highest ranked teams, a team who were giantkillers last season) but there you go

Unsurprisingly, Sutton are yet again embarrassing themselves in the FA Cup. It’s a good job Surrey has Woking to represent the county in a positive light on and off the field. What a massive shame for Paulton Rovers all so full-time Sutton can save a few quid.

To be fair, Paulton is an arseache to get to. Even more remote than FGR I think

420 tickets gone in the first 2 hours, so unless you are a doley you needed to take a day off work and start to queue at 6am for tickets that weren't getting sold until 9:30am.

I'll listen on the radio
