Sounds like a typical Pools performance, start well, miss several chances, concede then continue to fall to pieces, should've been 3-0 down already.

I'm not that bothered about the FA Cup but FFS :ffs:

Battering opposition, no shock there.

Only shock is it's only taken us 10 clear cut chances to score twice.

Looked up the rules and it turns out the ref was correct on action regarding the first penalty if it was dummied, because it went in. However, I've rewatched it and Zavon doesn't dummy, he freeze frames before kicking the ball, but doesn't actually make any kicking action until he actually kicks it, so the goal should stand.

Your not allowed to stop your run up at all.

That wasn't my understanding. A stuttering run is legal, unless I'm mistaken?

In other news, we've now scored THREE GOALS IN ONE GAME!!!
Yeah stuttering fine as long as you don't come to a complete stop at any point.

There's nothing in the rules prohibiting a complete stop during a run up, as long as it's not immediately before the kick itself i.e. the run up is complete.

Chester are awful.

They look exactly like us when we went down, bar a 10-15 minute period in the second half we were very comfortable.

How Lathaniel Rowe-Turner is still a footballer at Conference level amazes me, Sonupe had him in his back pocket all game.

Onto the next game home tie please.

Not a bad think if your looking for promotion mate. I wouldnt have minded us going out tbh.

If it was the Trophy I'd agree with you, you want to be out of that nonsense as soon as possible. But this is the FA Cup and it can bring big revenue for sides down here. Gutted to be out of it with a whimper and I would suggest a lot of our fans are fuming tonight. Non bankrolled clubs need FA Cup runs.

dover 0-0 bromley

poor game. bromley timewasting in the 1st half. their goalie faking an injury to get our player booked. the ref faking his ability as a ref from then on.

Echo the other Poolies, FA cup for me doesn't matter now we're in this league. Chances of getting to the 3rd round even more remote, then once you get there you get Gillingham away.

Today, though, relieved is the only word. No win position for us today, go through so what, we should, go out and it's another embarrassment against a local NE side, like the televised Blyth horror show that ranks at my all time low as a Pools fan.

Happy to have saved face but we were shit and should've been dead by half time. Keeps the run going though, builds confidence ahead of a massive game against Sutton.

Agree mate , still remember your night against arsenal and ours at goodison. On the other hand you could get colchester away in front of 1400 people make about 10k out of the game pick up injuries and go out.....

Shildon need shilton it seems
0-0 at half time. Two quick goals after the break then Fondop was dragged back in the box whilst one on one, penalty and red card for the centre half. It was a cruise by that point.
Hopefully that instills some confidence in our team going forwards.

The only thing that kept me from topping myself was FGR 0, Newport C 4.
Thank you my Welsh friends

I don't particularly hate them as much as some of yous on here but I'd piss myself if they came straight back down.Take our 100 year FL berth and blow it in 9 months. Unforgivable.

They'll probably sack Cooper, spend a bit in January and likely stay up though.

Think we'll have a big-ish club come down. Port Vale or Chesterfield.

Daggers 0-0 Orient.

Competitive game but no quality from either side in the final third. We couldn't shoot and the referee failed to book about 4-5 Orient players for deliberate tugbacks during our breakaways.
