2-0 up going in to the final 15ish minutes to lose 3-2 at Not Police with their last two coming from ex-K Tom Bird. The Dynan honeymoon period is over but hopefully he can pull us through our FA Trophy game with Ashford on Saturday!

He's probably a bit busy but the Dulwich manager would make a good interview... although I'm more interested to hear his thoughts on the off-field stuff & how this Meadow business is effecting things.

I've thought about Gavin, but I've given Hamlet lots of coverage over the last fortnight and I want to share it around a bit. Any other ideas?

Well you could always see how Leigh Dynan is settling in over at the red half of Leatherhead (there's a terminology I never thought I'd say) :)

Dorking Wanderers maybe? I find that club quite interesting with their incredible rise through the pyramid & the acquisition of Meadowbank.

Gary McCann or Jim Cooper. Both been in place for many years and seem the perfect fit for the club.

Thanks for the write-up Townsend. It got linked on our forum and also whatsapp groups to rave reviews.
We knew you'd get the Urchin Bug. Terrible attendance though (not that I can talk as I didn't go). Bit of rain and the Eastside all bu@@er off to Lakeside or somewhere.

Anyway - we are sitting quietly in second place but taking absolutely nothing for granted so I am not going to make any predictions.

Keep going Hamlet - anything to keep Tamplin's crew off the top. And good luck to K's too - hopefully we will be meeting up next year in something other than an extended festival of reserve team friendlies.

This is all on you, we're not going anywhere! Certainly not in an upwards direction anyway :)

Probably time to start asking some questions about this managerial appointment, then. Very good start but our recent league form's been poor and we've now been dumped out of the Trophy rather ignominiously... a 5-1 defeat to a side in the league below. I mean, what?!

Disappointed to see that Tom Collins has departed as well. Haven't seen much of us this season but he was about the best player on the park the last time I did go.

Christ, he must have improved since we had him 3 years ago. Probably the worst player we've had since promotion to the Conny Sarf.

Think it's a bit unfair looking objectively on the outside to have too much criticism for this new manager, he's brought in players from Whyteleafe who will be cup tied so there's no time for the team to gain an understanding of other's habits. You won't go down and the playoffs are likely unattainable - just give him to the end of the season and assess then?

I'm inclined to agree, in all fairness it was an underwhelming appointment to begin with although not unexpected given our current circumstances & with hindsight his bright start seems to have been more beginners luck than a sign of things to come. Heybridge seem to be the 'non league cup team' of the year so there's a small bit of silver lining but shipping five to them is absolutely ridiculous & the kneejerk reaction of releasing Vilcu & Goode along with Collins is either another 'Dowson Day' in the making or a bat shit crazy move.

All we've got now is the Surrey Cup, cue not taking it seriously & get ruined by Horley Town next week.

Easier said than done Abs. We probably are being a bit harsh on Dynan but this season above all it is absolutely paramount that we've at least got something decent to watch on the pitch to keep making what support we have left head out to Leatherhead every other week, there's groups of us trying to make it work but it's starting to feel like a chore supporting a club that is consistently making these questionable choices.

Catch 22 scenario here because whilst I completely understand where you're coming from and are far more qualified from personal experience, I'm thinking of K's windfall only securing the club in the short term. Leigh Dynan's on an 18 month deal so letting him go would have to be paid off - 12 months would be a hit if it doesn't work out this season but it would give any hypothetical management team time to bring in their own players and have a full pre-season behind them.

Good to see Reece Grant bagging a few for K's by the way, came through our youth set up but left for Heybridge after he couldn't break into our first team. Taylor Miles has always impressed when he was at Concord so I thought he'd have had more of an impact.

It wouldn't surprise me if Claudiu Vilcu ended up back at Wingate after their Trophy progress.

Yep. He is back at W+F and score a OG today in a 2-1 win over Folkestone.

I think there's quite a few questions marks over his judgement at the moment. Vilcu and Collins are supposedly not good enough for him and yet they've been two standout players this year according to most Ks fans. Goode was also a very good servant (with Sam Page also having departed under this manager, Rob Tolfrey is the only player left who's been at the club for a significant period of time). I'm sceptical because his managerial record is underwhelming and I don't think the feeder league is generally a great place to be recruiting players from.

Fwiw, I don't think either of us are suggesting he should be sacked (he's only just arrived); more questioning whether he should have been appointed in the first instance. As Paddy suggests, given our off-field problems, it's more important than ever that the club generate some excitement on the pitch. If we fail to do this retaining supporters will become more and more difficult. In reality, unless we endure a really abysmal run, I don't think there's much prospect of him not seeing out the season.

Project 3,000 fans at Billericay is going well, just over 500 last night. That should pay one players morning wages. Ghastly owner manager man also taking a back seat. Is it unraveling already?

I'm not sure that was a league match they were playing last night, rather the so-called Velocity Cup!

Yeah it was a league game. Would be nice if someone else could stick another number in their 'games lost' column on the table. No pressure :cool1:

Ah well then, how long is the Tamplin moneypit going to last at this rate then?
Even their Saturday league match attracted only 894 fans.

Looks like you guys will be back down here next season, but unfortunately we won't be here to greet you.

There's some way to go yet but it is a possibility. However, if (and this a big if) we can get our strongest line-up out I think we'll be fine.

off twitter - for now

To all at Billericay football club and fans I have made a decision to come off twitter and hand over lots other things for 3 months as I’m really feeling the stress and getting feelings like when I burnt out so I can’t let that happen .. honesty best policy

He's really feeling the stress of being owner/manager of a team with a budget five times higher than anyone else in the division? Oh bless his cotton socks, the poor thing! Its amazing the other 23 club owners/chairmen of the division havent been sectioned yet in that case.

The lord god Andre McCollin hath returneth once more to salvage thy wreckage that is Kingstonian.

The first bit of news from the club in a while that hasn't been depressing at best. Tom Derry is out the door, presumably to make way - I'd say that's a fair trade off.
