Don't think I've ever been as confident as this match. I'd be surprised if Coventry can do anything against our solid defence. McNulty looked god awful in both legs and nothing JMT can't handle.

Their defence opened up plenty of times by County as well, something which Stockley won't let them get away with.

I'm going for Exeter 4-0 Coventry.

The most Coventry City thing ever...

We've had to release a brand new kit because we have sold out our current one.

Yes, it is a nice kit, but ffs.

Hmm, only 12,500 Coventry tickets sold as of yesterday. Struggling to hit 20k by the end of week by the looks of it? Disappointed Coventry fans? Thought you'd be good for at least 30k

Looking forward to this - should be a good game.

Location wise, would rather see the back of Exeter but aside from that, I've got no preference who wins.

Sold around 19,000 as of 13:00, pretty sure they will be good for 30k+.

As for us there's been no update on how many we've sold yet but doubt we've sold many. Took 17k last season versus Blackpool but a lot of people I've been speaking to who went last year are giving this one a miss. Will be surprised if we hit 15,000, to be honest.

Yeah I think 15k max from us. Tbh it doesn’t really bother me...the number of day trippers near us last year who kept on fucking off for a pie during the game was ridiculous. I doubt some of them have ever been to see us at SJP so they can do one.

Exeter were the best side I saw this season, however it was the first game of the season and I didn’t go to many games after I discovered that sandpapering my eyes for 90 minutes on a Saturday would be more entertaining.

That said I went to Coventry and they beat us easily on a pudding of a pitch but I don’t remember being massively impressed by them.

I do think it’ll be a great game to watch and I hope both sets of fans enjoy their day out (I fully appreciate that’s not really possible but I’m in a good mood as I’m on holiday)

We've sold that in less than 2 days... Not even on general sale.

Shrewsbury have only sold 8.5k for the league one final, Wembley fatigue for them it appears.

Was always going to happen. Twice in one season is expensive. We won't sell the same as last year.

I watched the EC v LC match on Thursday, was very impressed with Exeter thought they moved the ball well and looked very good.
Went to our match Friday, and must admit the first half was some of the best football we have played! Under the cosh a bit 2nd half but came through, maybe different if Forte goal had stood. But you can only play to the whistle, it wasn't given we went on and were comfortable winners.
This is (hopefully) going to be a cracking game, not easy to call. Our support will be massive, loud and should lift the players once again.

I see Coventry have commissioned a special shirt for their cup final. How quaint.

Either that or they are cynically trying to make a quick buck. Where's our 25% cut eh? eh?

It's typical Coventry. We have run out of our current home shirt and apparently it is easier to make a new one. Poor from us.

Well that sounds like an entirely believable story.

:alien:

To be fair they sold out of all home shirts last week.

The fact they cannot supply more is another thing.

Apparently we’ve sold 8000 as of today. I’d expect a max of 15k

A city derived of success for years v two towns where one has already been to Wembley this year. You should be taking 30,000 +

I cant predict it to be honest. Both teams shoulf be up for it. Exeter looked poor here atvthe ricoh but that was way back in October time.

We need to win this so badly. If we dont then its goodbye Bayliss and McNulty, and hello again crappy away end at Forest Green.

For a tinpot trophy :bg: - look don’t get me wrong it’s decent numbers so far but I wouldn’t brag about getting bigger numbers than them two clubs considering your recent history.

Torn here really because with an eye on next season I feel like this is a bit of a critical mass for Exeter and they need to go up or Tisdale and a couple more key players will probably go, whilst Coventry will be up there either way. They were utterly classless through our whole semi final tie though and it’d be funny if they lost and ultimately that bitterness is what football is all about, so let’s go Exeter.

For us, the novelty of Wembley has warn off. Most can't afford to attend both Twickenham for Exeter Chiefs, who can seal the Aviva Prem for a second year running, and Wembley, a souless ground. Although I will be at both, I know many regulars at SJP who will only be attending Chiefs. A much bigger game for Exeter as a City and for those who like both egg chasing and football and aren't made of money. It's annoying it's not the same as last year, as those attending both will now have to stay over in London for two nights, unlike last year where City played the day after Chiefs.
