Unsurprisingly former Southport manager Dino Mmaria is now the permenant manager at Nuneaton. No upturn in results though as they went down 2-1 at mangerless FCUM.

Not gonna lie. Wouldnt be disappointed if Nuneaton went down.

BEen an interesting week at the bottom, Gainsborough with 2 wins in a week and FCUM winning today.

Time looks all but up for NFU though.

kicker of a loss for us today, looks like we were good first half but simply didn't score from it, then gave away a pen in a more even second half and flogged a point.

pretty much 6 points between most of the bottom half of table.

Was obviously a game of two halves for us. Odd first 10mins where both sides could have been two up. Town settled into it thereafter but still a free flowing game with the added bite of a few facing former employers.

Thought the second half post sending off was great, backs to the wall spirit where in the last month we would have conceded with 11 on the pitch. Superb save and allegedly a bit of luck with the penalty.
However if we had the likes of Ainge we could easily of snuck a third had it not been for the inexperience/lack of guts for yet another couple of football league kids on loan. Think we have had one success in 3 seasons of numerous similar signings as cover. Does anyone else see that with their teams?

Oh and Mr Daniels. Still got a wonderful delivery on him but showed no desire elsewhere. Seems to have refined back his talent even further now to just set piece player. Mr Easy Route, as I suppose was his decision to bet away his big opportunity at Fylde.

Great chips btw and nice to see the Alfreton Directors chatting with away fans in the bar. Always welcoming.

Desperately need Ainge back, by early December apparently. A hugely surprising season so far and credit to Weaver. Just always have the sneaking suspicion the wheels will fall off like normal but hopefully the corner has turned today after recent matches, a corner that only contains one defeat in 22.

Fair assessement. Here is Belshaw`s save from Daniel`s freekick - https://twitter.com/SmithJournalist/status/924300482817994757

Another bad day at the office with a scoreline that simply doesn't justify our performance with all due respect. We definitely didn't deserve to get beat 3-1 against Blyth, whose fan's suddenly came to life when the third goal hit the back of the net.

After comfortably going in at half-time 1-0 to the good. The turning point happened for the 2nd half Dom Collins didn't appear after picking up a slight injury just before half-time, for me he was man of the match by far from his 1st half display he never put a foot wrong holding the defense together.

Burgess replaced him but he doesn't do it anymore for me, simply not good enough for this league.
Once again without judging or mentioning any names it was an error that got Blyth back into the game, and another. But we had our chances especially when Cartman played a ball into the path of Gillies who was denied by Jameson's outstretched boot.

We gave Pete Jameson a great reception as he came towards us for the second half.
Overall, it was a pretty decent game i think Blyth will definitely be in the playoffs come next spring.

I'm not sure what Tommy Wright's thoughts are but we've got a real task ahead of us over the coming weeks, Brackley next week and then down for the long trek to Kidderminster the following week.
We could be looking over our shoulders after those two.

Stockport fans were you at the game yesterday? Sounded like a game of two halves. You had the first 45 and should've been more than 1 up. We seemed to wake up with the introduction of Weeks and seemed to control the second half.

Good win against a team who have an amazing home record. Up to 10th and only a point off the playoffs and we haven't lost since Tamworth.

That's a pretty accurate summary, except we probably only dominated for the first 30 mins of the first half (despite scoring on 45 mins). Kidderminster deserved the win as when they got forward they actually looked dangerous, whereas we just did our usual play a bit of nice but ineffective football for 20-30 mins, and then collapse as soon as the opposition apply a bit of pressure. About 5 mins into the second half we all knew how the game was going to end - i.e., exactly the same as Blyth and FCUM at home.

Btw, whoever your number 10 was you need to get rid ASAP. He's up there with Frank Sinclair and Clayton Macdonald as putting in one of the worst performances I've seen at this level.

Elton Ngwatala, he's a bit of a hit and miss player. 2 weeks ago against Chester he put in one of the best performances I've seen at Aggborough. He needs to be more consistent if he wants his move to the FL.

Didn't expect Murray to resign. Not because I thought he was doing a good job, I just didn't think he'd be one to walk away.

Apology accepted by Southport fan in earlier post, ref, daylight robbery of a point at the death by a dubious penalty decision.

Surprised to see former York and Boston man Kane Felix has signed for Step 5 Deeping Rangers. Surprised by that. Thought he was half decent at Boston?

Interesting, I see Kaine scored 2 goals in a 6-0 win against Northampton Sileby Rangers. He never did much for us - always put in the effort, quite pacy and could be exciting to watch, but the end product just wasn't there and he was also easily knocked off the ball by bigger players. Maybe he's trying to work his way back up? He certainly has some talent and wouldn't be surprised if he turned up at this level again.

1-0 win for Salford at Boston tonight in their game in hand.

Means for the second consecutive Saturday we will be facing top of the league.

Elsewhere Chorley and Tamworth drew 1-1.

Well tomorrow should be interesting, we face bogey team FC United at home.

We have already played FCUM this season in the FA Cup. Having gone in at HT 3-0 up, we changed our shape and fell apart in the 2nd half, the game finished 3-3.

The replay on the Tuesday night saw FCUM received 2 red cards in the first half. HT score 0-0. FT score 1-0 to FCUM!! That's right, we LOST against 9 men!

Can't wait for tomorrow!

FYI DSL - I think I'm really starting to hate Alfreton this season...

http://www.afcdiamonds.com/nabil-shariff-moves-on

Nabs is very much a confidence player (like most strikers) who blows hot and cold, even cold he's pretty decent for this level, when he's hot he's way too good for it. Disappointed to lose him, but I don't blame him for taking the chance to move up to that level. As a youngster he never looked out of place when called upon in the last days of R&DFC in the conference, and with the squad we have this year, being fully fit, he was capable of notching up to about 50 at this level. Can't say if he'll make it there, but I hope he does. He always came across as a very genuine guy and relatively intelligent for a footballer based on post-match interviews etc.

I hope it either works or doesn't work for him quickly (in the latter case so we could have him back!).

Haha. Can understand that! Been surprised that you have not kicked on since the cup game and by your lack of goals. Happy with this signing. Looked impressive against us in the Cup and sounds decent and may possess that pace we need to stretch defences.
Generally hope you can find a replacement and win promotion

Away at Salford tomorrow.
Second consecutive game against top of the league. Nothing like a easy run of games eh?
Anything from tomorrow is a bonus and I cant help but feel Salford`s idea to make it completely free admission has made it much harder as we never play well in front of a big crowd.
Last years trip there was absolutely horrendous but Moor Lane has been totally transformed apparently so looking forward to seeing the changes.

Our trip last year was a somewhat horrendous display and we got a good hiding, overall I'm quite impressed with all the work done at Moor Lane when I was there in August with the set-up it's a fantastic ground, especially for away fans, a great atmosphere with a brilliant view close to the pitch.

Tough game for us tomorrow playing Brackley Town. I don't expect much out of this game or next weeks.
No sign of any new arrivals so far, which I'm somewhat surprised with our ever growing injury list of players.
Now is the time for clubs to beat us and by god they are, with our depleted and very shaky defense. Could be missing Dom Collins tomorrow after he got injured up at Blyth!

I'd definitely be happy with a draw, then again I'd be happy with a win. Oh well!! I'll settle for a decent performance. Come on Darlo!!!

Probs weirdest place for an update as texting this during break in play at a ceske budejovice ice hockey game in Czech Rep. but see we are 2-1 down at York........not bad as we have no main striker today. But think we.need to change away approach. We have to always come from behind and hope we can then grab something

How portentous

Had to miss today's game, didn't mind so much after the last three home matches, really regretting it now! County have so many goals in the team, if only we could solidify things at the back we'd be right up there.
