I see Nuneaton v Boston has just been called off. Feel for the travelling Boston fans. Shocking from Nuneaton. Call for help/inspection should have been much earlier. Horrible club.

Oh I bloody hope so. Missed so many games this last few months would be nice to get a break and a game actually be on a day I am off.

May want to move your day off.

Good 3 points for Chorley today, goals from Carver and Walker, solid performance against what I thought was a poor BPA outfit. Once again Alex Newby shone, he is proving to be a great signing. Well done lads, 4 from 6 over Easter.
Well done to Groundsman for ensuring the game was on!

Witnessed one of if not the best goal I've ever seen from the unlikely source that is our cb Fraser Horsfall. 35 yard drive into the top corner that left Lewis with no chance.

On the game Brackley were the better side in the first half but neither side created anything. Best chance fell to Dan Bradley who's shot from distance smashed off the inside of the post.

Second half we came out fighting and dominated the game. So it was typical of us in recent weeks to go 1-0 down after some poor defending and us being unable to clear our lines. Then Horsfall popped up with his wonder strike before Manny Sonupe played in Vaughan who pulled the ball back to the in form Dan Bradley who slotted home. 6 in 5 for him now after he's failed to find the net all season.

Good win for us after a bad few weeks in terms of form. Need to win at a Blyth team who's form recently has also not been good.

Can't grumble with that performance, routine win and some good pieces of passing on a good pitch considering the deluge of rain. Alex Newby ran the show for the second game this week, a little like nick haughton!

He's gonna be attracting some interest if he's performing like Nick Haughton. Decent bit of business in the transfer market picking up Alex Newby from Clitheroe.

We have been informed by FC United Of Manchester that our game against them on 14th April will be all ticket. Absolutely stupid, why can't we just pay on the day of the game at the turnstiles.

Oh well ... lingering outside dream of a tilt at the title gone.
I confidently predict very very close playoff tournament.
We were better than Harrogate on Fri, Kiddy better than us today, Stockport look good and in great form, York always beat us with Parkin scoring, but Brackley unbeaten at home so far this year. Anyone could win it...
Going to be a very busy next few weeks - we've got 11/12 games left in 40 days. Could become a bit of a lottery for clubs at both ends with so many games to cram in in the league. Feel for Spennymoor, whose reward for successfully squeezing in so many fixtures may be a 3 day turnaround after the last league game before the playoffs begin.

I'm now thoroughly convinced that we'll end up sliding out of contention for the play-offs. Stockport and Spennymoor will both go above us if they win their games in hand (Spennymoor only need 4 points out of their 4 games in hand), leaving us in 7th with Chorley and Blyth breathing down our necks. I think we may need to win four out of our last six games to finish in 7th, and we aren't consistent enough to do that. Should we manage to scrape into 7th, we won't be winning three away games to go up. See you all next season.

All depends how long 3 strikers who are all injured are out for.cause 2 who played against Chorley was worst pairing in our history.better strikers in Sunday morning league.

Salford v Blyth also off. About time the Class of 92 invested in the pitch.
Leamington v Chorley also off.
You think Spennymoor is bad spare a thought for Step 5 NWCFL side 1874 Northwich

1874 Northwich‏ @1874Northwich

A 23rd postponement of the season. We now do not have a league game until 20th March when we host @barlickfc which would take us to halfway through our campaign. After an FA Vase semi-final we then have a run of fixtures beginning 26th March... 22 league games in 40 days
After Saturday's game was postponed, their fixtures are now:

Wednesday , Thursday, Saturday, Monday, Thursday, Saturday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday Monday, Wednesday Thursday, Saturday and then one further re-arrangement.

Well after 4 wins on the bounce and the buzz from Jimmy Ball's last gasp winner on Friday we entertain Tamworth at home tonight which was the game postponed from yesterday.

Another win is an absolute must to try and cement our place in the play offs! With away games against Kiddie, Chorley and Blyth, these home games need to be won!

We've been excellent of late, although defensive mistakes nearly cost us on Friday so Jim will need to work with the team to cut those out. Great to see Oswell back on the score sheet with 2 goals. Hopefully he'll re-find his early season form and fire us into the play offs!

Stockport 3-2 Tamworth.

Good result for us at the bottom, looking tough now for Blyth and Chorley to get into top 7

The current top 7 will be the seven to finish in the play offs. Just a matter of positions.

Huge games down the bottom come thick and fast now. Ours Thursday and Tamworth v FC sticks out on Saturday

An piece here on the next bankrolled club to keep an eye on - Basford United. Their chairman Chris Munroe has piled in 1.5 million and the club have gained 6 promotions in 8 seasons

I thought I recognized the name and face of the Basford United manager Martin Carruthers. He use to play for Darlo many years ago. I didn't know he had his feet under the table at the next bankrolled club.

Tamworth must be sweating buckets, looking over their shoulder now. Having played 4 more games than the two teams below them.

Speaking of next season. Do you reckon Martin Gray will walk and disappear up the road to Poolie in the summer to join his mate Raj Singh? MG is not a happy man if he doesn't get his own way.

Especially if the funds aren't available at his beck and call at York for rebuilding his squad for another promotion campaign, good luck this year like with the play-offs.

I wouldn't be surprised, and I wouldn't particularly blame anyone for walking out of this basket case of a club right now.
